Got to BHR early this morning before work.  Finally seeing small bait-fish & panfish near the shore.  Caught one decent LMB by the gate house on a swimming Senko.  It's good to know there's still bass in there...

I'll be in Quincy for the day next week, I may have to hit Bluehills on my drive home. Thanks for the report!

I have the best luck on the East - North/east bank

It's about 22-25' deep @ 30' from shore and comes up to 11-15' about 10' off shore. There's not much for structure, reminds me of a BIG cereal bowl.

Picked up a WS ride 115 today and I absolutely love it. Got it out and the water and got a pickerel.

You know you're a fisherman when your kayak is worth more than your car

Mike-

I've been looking at the same yak and it would likely be worth about as much as my car too!

I went out on the A1 last weekend and did pretty well, particularly on chartreuse colored soft plastics texas rigged either with a small bullet weight, or weightless (lizzards and senkos mainly)

Got 3 LMB in the 4-5lb range, and a lot more in the 2-3 lb range.  Also hauled in quite a few pickerel... all in all I caught about 20 fish and my buddy caught about 5 on a gorgeous 80 degree day in central mass.  Will be heading out again this weekend hopefully and would love to have repeat results.

That's a great spot, how bad are the weeds there now i know it can get pretty bad there

I'll let you know more definitively tonight, last weekend they weren't too bad yet.  You could see some weed beds for certain however, some of them poking out just above the surface, some of them just barely submerged.. Most of the good fish came off/near weed beds with abutting stumps/cover.

Gonna stay with what worked last time out today, similar conditions I would think, perhaps just a bit cooler water temps... jigs and texas rigged soft plastics in blue/black and chartreuse and green pumpkin.

Anyone got any advice for taking a muskie or pike out of this place?  I realize the best time frame for catching them has come and gone, but surely they're still feeding very actively in there..  with the abundance of weeds and hang ups in there I wouldn't really even consider fishing something that wasn't weedless other than maybe a spinnerbait or topwater  ... I'm gonna toss a real big (10.5") worm along some weedlines and see if I don't get lucky and hook up on something mean..

Got out to Blue Hills Reservoir an hour or so before dusk with the family.  Nothing, not even a strike.  Saw a couple decent bass cruising what I think are their beds.  Lots of little Sunnies & a couple of small Yellow Perch, so there are some fish left there.

My wife had fun feeding night-crawlers to the Sunnies.

My daughter was bored.... she's 14.

The bass are finally starting to bite for me in the East Providence/Seekonk area! I'm having luck with wacky rigged senkos (on some pretty awesome weedless hooks). I've been pitching to submerged brush, trees and stumps no more than 10' from the bank and am having consistent success. No lunkers to speak of but right now I'm happy with quantity over quality.

Fishing the EP reservoir?

Would that be Turner Reservoir? I haven't fished that spot in about a month now. Though, I am considering heading there later today.

Yes Turner res, sorry being from EP  we have always called it the EP res. Do you fish Omega pond too? There is some big fish in there, as well as the brickyard in Barrington.

Anyone ever fish Millpond in Maynard MA? I am looking to see how deep it is but cant find the info anywhere. Heard there are nice bass in that place.

I've lived in EP my entire life and never knew EP had a reservoir. I only just started fishing there last year! lol I have not tried Omega. I'm not really sure how to access it. Any tips? Brickyard on the other hand I have been fishing my entire life. I love wade fishing just off the trail that runs along one side. Been considering getting a float tube to access more of Brickyard.

Did ok today. Caught 5 fish total. Biggest one jumped off right in front of me. They loved the Senko worm today.

Took two LMB tonight in a small pond in Sharon MA. First one was a very healthy 3lber that showed no signs of spawn abuse and took a blue/black yum dinger trigged weightless and a dink that took a black/blue flappin hog also t rigged weightless. Heading out again tomorrow AM likely to the Plymouth area.
