Favorite Spring/summer/fall Craw Colors?

I am tying my own jigs now, and have recently had some luck with a purple-brown/blue/white jig in cold spring water. What are some of your favorite sping, summer, and fall craw color patterns for tying jigs?

Any pictures? Craw next to a jig?

I think this would be a great thread for people to larn about matching the hatch, as a how-to.

Here is a pic of what I like for cold water in spring, the craw has blue claws with a green pumpkin body and the skirt is a medium green pumpkin along with a little bit of rootbeer with red and green flake. For a summer craw I like a craw in brown with burnt orange claws with a brown and dark green pumpkin skirt and in fall I like the craw with the same burnt orange claws but with a natural pumpkin body with a pumkin and brown skirt with a few strands of orange.

Ok, I'm sure there are some here smarter than me on this subject but for me the spring and fall I use a Pumpkin or pumpkin/orange with a PacaCraw in Alabama Craw that I like to color the tips of Orange as well. My summer color of choice is Watermelon/Blue patterns with a PacaCraw in Summer Craw when I do thorw a jig in the summer which isn't a whole lot. My reasoning for my color choice is the color of the craws here on the lake I'm fishing, when the water temp gets to about 65 degrees they change color and it makes a huge difference to the fish.

You basically use the same color patterns I like to use only in reverse. In the spring the craws here have a lot of blue in them especially around the claws but in the summer they get more of a dark olive pretty much green pumpkin but the claws get orange.

I use two patterns. I use the standard black and blue early and the greenpumkin the rest of the year. The craw trailer has to be either green pumkin with chartruse claws or black body with blue claws. And I dont know if it makes a difference to me it does I like to rip one of the claws off. Just to show weakness when its in that defensive stance.

Brown & Orange, or Olive & Brown. Toss out a crayfish trap in your area...then match the hatch.

I alternate all year between:

brown and orange

black

green pumpkin blue

hmm i usually only throw a brown jig with either a green pumpkin, gp red flake, watermelon, watermelon/red/black, or a cinnamon/black yamamoto double tail grub year round. the only thing that changes with the seasons is the color of the trailer. ive had so much success tying and throwing just a brown jig year round that i guess ive kinda just stuck with it. i do add some gp, watmln, black, rusty brown, and purple in there oonnnce in awhile.
