Super User Shane J Posted October 10, 2012 Super User Posted October 10, 2012 Here's the best fish of the day for me today. Caught her on a black/blue swim jig, with Blue Craw Rage Tail Baby Craw trailer. Quote
NEjitterbugger Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Dang Shane nice fish!, What did that weigh?.?.? 4.5-6 guessing?? Quote
Nashua Nev Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 Nice Shane , good looking girl there. I have managed to find a bunch of 4+ this year, a handful of 5 , and a new PB 6-1 in the Nashua river along with a 4-1 smallie also in the Nashua river. Those big girls are certainly smart. Hopefull we still have a couple months before the water gets too hard in many places. Quote
NEjitterbugger Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 How much will the decreasing temp tonight affect the fishing tomarrow? Quote
Nashua Nev Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Fished with a little luck saturday morning in Amherst at Stump , Tried Monday morning for 1 1/2 hours at the Nashua river but the wind and fast moving water made it real tough in the kayak. The dam was wide open. I paddled up a bit and then coasted back 4 times fishing as much as possible. The wind was a major PIA. Would have been much better in the jon boat and motor as well as the 2 anchors. No fish but i still got out instead of sitting on the couch. Quote
NEjitterbugger Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 I went saltwater fising.. caught 27, here is the biggest... Quote
Nashua Nev Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 thanks , those are some nice stripers. did you get those from shore or boat? Quote
Nashua Nev Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 This morning , A few at Pine Island pond Biggest about 3 , Tonight an even dozen at Rollins Biggest 3lb 7 oz. the wind was wicked tonight. Quote
NEjitterbugger Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 We caught them from shore...We went down today again, my dad missed a 34" we only landed one 12" lol... Quote
bobh64 Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Well a sad day. The realization the fishing season is over for me. Now it's time to winterize the boat. According to my diary the boat has caught and released just under 340 bass this season and the largest at just under 7 lbs. It was a great year of fishing from lakes like Cobbosseecontee Lake Maine to Exeter, NH reservoir with many family and friends and the hope for a better one next year. Wish I could fish more but the Insurance company would not like me. Now to wait for the ice and it will be smelt season soon enough. Quote
Nashua Nev Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Anyone seen or fished Bow lake or Pawtuckaway since the draw down? Is it possible to get my jon boat on the small trailer in either place? or just the canoe or kayak. Quote

Nashua Nev Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 A cold , fishless morning in the canoe today at the Nashua river. Gotta get a heated coffee thermos Quote
nhbassin Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 Im impressed that your still getting out on the water Nev! Definitely post if you catch anything this last in the season. Quote
NEjitterbugger Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 Me and a friend are going to ct for some trout, maybe we will be lucky and get a smallie because they are very abundant in the river we will be fishing... Quote
Nashua Nev Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 A few last wed up off exit 17 where the rivers meet . but nothing too big. slow bright yellow and bright red crank baits very slow. I have been using the deep diving ones but just real slow and they dont dive so deep. I was using square billed ones but they only dive a few inchs when cranked slow slow and they have not been productive. And also Turtle pond up in Concord. same stuff same result . Have not and much luck with my rage tail craws and lobsters that were working well. Nashua river tomorrow morning and not sure where on Sunday morning. The pickerel are still biting hard especially the bright red bigger stuff. Top water has been dead even the slow night time jitterbug. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted November 10, 2012 Super User Posted November 10, 2012 Sorry for the blurry, crappy pic, but the battery was going on me, and I didn't notice until I looked at it after I let her go. Best of the day yesterday, at 4lbs, caught on a Rage Tail Recon Worm, in Falcon Craw Tx rigged with a pegged 3/8oz Tungsten. Quote
Nashua Nev Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Slow morning with all small fish but 8 total , some largemouth, some smallmouth and the pickerel to go with them. All on crank baits in the Nashua river. Biggest fish was almost 2 1/2. Got out and relaxed for 2 hours. So quiet no boats no motors no cars no kids. Just the occasional airplane. Quote
NEjitterbugger Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Sadly, I think I'm done bass fishing for the year... Too cold, might go for trout again, or drive down south a bit to get some stripers... ~Then Feb vacation were going to Florida for some saltwater fishing... Quote
