  1. i've never heard of anyone putting fiberglass resin on a swimbait, or any bait at all... are you trying to put this on for the clear coat? if what you are after is a thick, strong, clearcoat, then you should use Devcon 2-Ton epoxy. pick it up at your hardware store. comes in a two part syringe. what most people do is mix this stuff reallllllly well on a post-it or the bottom of a soda can, and then brush it evenly on the bait. then they rig their bait up on a lure turner, which slowly rotates the lure so that the epoxy will not sag or run. hope that helped a little.
  2. what a great day but man that sucks real bad about losing your bait like that! thats why im kinda hesitant about buying soft swimbaits, it would kill me to pay 23 bucks for a bait and then have it destroyed by a fish. i'd rather have a hard swimbait that will last thru many fish. good thing you bought two!
  3. how do your baits always have such uniform shape? do you buy pre-made bodies?
  4. i hear you cant go wrong with 3:16, but i think they might be more expensive than you are looking for i also hear spro bbz-1 is good
  5. Hmmm... You never tried a Chug Bug or a Wiggle Wart :-? i guess i should have classified...only "softbait" worth buying and no i havent tried either of those two...i stick to rapalas as my hardbaits.
  6. i caught one nice bass on one and then my next cast i hooked into a huge snapping turtle and it broke the lure. they are very delicate, but they do catch fish. they are my favorite storm product (pretty much the only one worth buying).
  7. Cheez-It with JIF peanut butter ontop with a glass of milk!!!!!
  8. is soon to be tattooed on Tin's body for inspiration
  9. someonez sleeping on the couch tonite :
  10. needs a "stinkin shimano" very much!
  11. how many come in a pack for 5.99??? *** has me spoiled with their cheap prices... ;D
  12. i dont have the b***s to take apart and paint any of my reels! hope everything works out for you with this one!
  13. it reminds me of an old favorite, the riverside big wag. it extremely similar. i will get some if the price is right
  14. i heard the lucky craft real california was terrible. tackle tour gave it a rating of 3. the joints broke after a few casts or something. i have never heard anything bad about 3:16 lure company. they are pretty pricey though.
  15. you will want a smaller ballast in the tail portion too. on my first bait, i didnt put any weight in the tail and when it restedin the water, the tail laid flat on the water instead of vertical.
  16. no, whats worse is when you set a custom level in minesweeper (24x30x10 mines) and LOSE in 1 second! :-[
  17. i'll tell you my favorite knife. Boker Magnum Automat Kalashnikov 74 http://www.eknifestore.com/knife/BO-KALS74DES.html only reason i dont carry it often is because it is illegal to carry a switchblade in my state. :-/ its a great knife, very lightweight, sharp, and holds an edge great! out of all the knives that i own, this is by far my favorite.
  18. lookin good! i like watching progress. its fun. cant wait to see this thing with some paint! how do you plan on painting it?
  19. if its hooked on the lip im sure he'll shake it off sometime soon. even if he doesnt, i dont think a chatterbait on the lip will interfre with daily activities too much. i think he will be fine.
  20. pretty much any rod that is around 7' and has a medium power, fast action will launch a senko pretty good.
  21. epoxy is drying...i need something to do in my down time :
  22. that would work, but i think it is much cooler/significant to have just ONE lure traveling the world and catching bass from all over. it makes it very one of a kind. i think it would be slighly less significant if there were multiple lures because they wouldnt see as many places. JMO
