  1. And how would you know that? The pic is from a swiss auction site called ricardo.ch , not mine. LOL! my mistake! ;D looks like the pictures you generally take. :
  2. look nice! that one should catch some fish for sure. i used to have the same problem with the epoxy not going on smoothly. here is a tip that i found that has worked pretty good for me: thin your epoxy with denatured alcohol until it is a viscosity that is easy to brush, like the thickness of acrylic paint. you will find that it brushes on much smoother, and it is much easier to completely cover the lure so there are no little missed spots like you have here. and it will flow out nicer too. i also think that thinned epoxy is a bit more glossy than straight epoxy, but im not sure let us know when you catch some fish on that!
  3. ^ can't quite get the hang of spelling my name correctly (along with many others!) ;D
  4. you have a tendancy to ask about lures AFTER you buy them ;D
  5. woops, i read the original post wrong. i thought you siad that you wanted to airbrush a clear coat on, but now i just realized that you want to put a clear coat over airbrushed paint. in that case, still use devcon, but dont thin it at much. Big M is right, thinning weakens it. unthinned devcon is the strongest possible. i still like to thin mine some though, because thinning it makes it SO MUCH easier to brush on. i find it very difficult to evenly brush on unthinned devcon. i also find that thinned devcon gives a shinier coat.
  6. ^ catches a lot of perch. are they white or yellow?
  7. thats pretty sweet! i kinda like duckweed. i like it most when not all of the pond is covered, just some. i caught 18 bass in one day (my presonal record) by dragging a 7" powerworm over duckweed using an ultralight rod and reel and 6lb line! those were some awesome fights. never broke off once!
  8. wow nice fish! is it nailed to the tree??? thats pretty ironic that he caught the same one you did! ;D
  9. devcon 2-ton epoxy thinned down the the desired viscosity with denatured alcohol
  10. ^ has a pretty groovy avatar himself
  11. ^ sent this thread back to the bottom of the second page because nobody had anything to say about him. ;D
  12. i wanna see this movie! any idea when it will play again on USA? maybe i'll just try to find it online...
  13. I guess you missed the burying of Chef a year or so ago. Parker & Stone did not part amicably with Hayes. i sure did miss that. what season and what episode?
  14. guess that means no more Chef in any new episodes of south park! :'(
  15. ok but why is it's mouth all decroded looking?
  16. this bluegill was just floating in this position, with its mouth out of the water, occasionally propelling itself with its tail fin. any idea what is wrong with it? PS: this bluegill is in the same lake that had the big shad kill last week which i read in the newspaper was due to low oxygen levels because of an algae bloom.
  17. thanks guys! Big M, give it a shot, if i can do it surely you can Jimzee, i like the baby bass too. i like the two that are hand painted a little bit more than the bluegill. although the bluegill is total sexyness. i guess i like them all equally.
  18. Finished Pictures:
  19. never tasted freshwater striper, but saltwater striper (called rockfish locally) are about the best eatin' around. to me, the fresh largemouth taste VERY similar to striper.
  20. im not sure how big of a difference it would make, but i would clean them first. fresh bass sure is tasty! i might have to keep a few pretty soon for a fish lunch.
  21. thanks! i now have them all weighted properly so they sink about a foot per second (maybe a little slower) and they sit on their hooks when they reach the bottom. all that is left is to fill in the weight holes with epoxy. then i'll be catching some fish on these!
