  1. driving down the beltway today, i looked over and saw a lady driving her car, talking to her passenger in sign language.....with both hands. i just thought to my self that can't be too safe..... :
  2. im not sure how much an individual bait would cost to make. well i pay 97 cents per piece of wood (i can get up to 4 baits from one piece, depending on how big the baits are) 3 bucks for wire 2-3 bucks for epoxy couple bucks for other stuff that im forgetting (most of which i already had around the house) so it costs a bit to get started, but most of the materials will last for several baits before you have to buy more. i will say that it is definitley more fun/cheaper than buying baits
  3. i fished mine once, caught a 4lber on about the 3rd cast, and never fished it again. i should get around to fishing it some more. :-/
  4. you should get some DT 03's (the fat ones, not the flat ones). they have such a wide wobble its crazy. i have one DT 03 and it has caught more fish than any other DT i have.
  5. tadpoles are easy! lol! i'll bring the camera on tuesday and try and get a few pics if i can. im not sure how easy it will be to take pictures of fish in aquariums....
  6. school baitmaking baitmaking is a great winter hobby. keeps you in the fishing spirit while being productive.
  7. thanks guys! i was sooooooo excited about that first bass! i was shaking! i think even if i caught a double digit bass i might not be as excited as i was then.
  8. i'm up in frostburg maryland for the weekend and im going to visit their super walmart tomorrow, you better believe i'll be checking for clearance fishing tackle! the walmart up here has better fishing stuff anyway.
  9. dude where did you get it?
  10. i suggest you buy an arsenal of them! buy some DT 03's, 04's, 06's, 10's and if you water is really deep then get some of the deeper ones. silver is my favorite color. shad is also very good. with DT crankbaits i really just try to match the hatch. sometimes a bright obnoxious color will catch their attention though. rapala DT's are definitley the best crankbait <$10 hands down. they are my favorite lure. i just love how easy they are to select and use.
  11. i *** you. the walmart down here NEVER puts any fishing stuff on clearance. best deal i got from there was a 650 yrd spool of yozuri hybrid for 3.50.
  12. they're doing fine in the tank! the tank has a bunch of big rocks, gravel, and a few logs. im not sure if it has any fake plants, but there is a backdrop (like a wall paper) of plants. the tank seems perfect for them. they were doing great today. they were kind of being bullied by the bluegills (the bluegills are about a centimeter bigger than the warmouths, so its really not a problem). i saw the warmouths chasing the bluegills around sometimes. cant wait for them to get big and colorful. they already have really cool looking mottled patterns.
  13. classic fourbizz right here.
  14. 3/16 is ALMOST quarter ounce, which is really a great weight for baitcasters.
  15. it was good! i laughed a lot, but i can tell they are running out of material. butters is definitley the best character in the whole show. always has been my favorite. heres a link to where you can watch the episode if you missed it: http://www.southparkstudios.com/episodes/187260/
  16. Bassboy 15 is right, this is a tech center that is off campus and i get bussed there for the last 3 periods of the day. when i got home from school today i rushed to the creek, got the fish, and then my mom gave me a ride to the tech center and i got the fish in the tank. there was only a time of about 30 minutes between them coming out of the creek and into the tank. i think they're gonna live warmouths are so awesome looking.
  17. How about which weapon fires a pickeral farther.... A. A cannon B. A spud-gun C. A Kentucky Rifle It would envolve physics and a little chemistry. my votes on spud gun. pickerels are really the ideal projectile for a spud gun!
  18. that is EXACTLY what i had in mind, i just dont know what would be the best BS project... :-/
  19. no guidelines. we are on our own.
  20. new principal (nobody likes him) has made it a rule that all honors science students are required to put in a science fair project i hate science fair projects. what are some good, not-so-difficult science fair project ideas?
  21. tanks already set up. it currently has 2 bluegill and 2 (maybe 3) small catfish about 6" long. i dont have a ride after or before school...
  22. I wanna bring some fish (2 warmouths) to put in the tank in my natural resources management class, but its the last period of the day. how do you think i should go about bringing them with minimal mortality rate?
  23. You aren't beating it up enough, you want to bounce that off every rock and log in the place. Being the 03 and 06, I'm assuming you might not be getting to the bottom? i only fish in shallow water, so those are the perfect depths. and no i dont hit the bottom much.
  24. definitley.
