  1. I stand corrected. It seems your priorities are in order after all. My apologies. Carry on. ?
  2. Pulling them is cheaper and would leave you with more money to spend on tackle. You really need to rethink your priorities. ?
  3. When I think of high sticking, THIS is what comes to mind. This got me thinking.......Instead wearing my Fish Monkey gloves, Maybe I should try put'n on the foil instead.
  4. If you have shallow wood available, a t-rig, jig or a stupid tube can be big players. Especially if that wood is laying on a clay bottom. Sunny fairly calm afternoons are best for this bite.
  5. Straight shank, offset worm, or 30 degree EWG with a screw lock. Bait and cover dictate which one.
  6. Rods: 2 Ark Tharp B-Hittay's, 1 Tharp Money Maker , 1 Tharp Hammer, 1 Ark Cobb "One More". Reels: 2 Lews Speed Spool LFS 7 speeds to pair with the B-Hittays. B-Hitt's for chatterbaits and ploppers. Money Maker for jigs/T-Rigs, Hammer for skipping, and Cobb One More for light T-Rigs, Senkos, Tubes etc. I bought 11 Ark rods this year. Most of the Tharp line and the Cobb because they don't have that taper in the Tharp or invoker series. Great rods that fish above their price point. WAY ABOVE compared to some other popular brands.
  7. Both Essence and Invoker Pro series have a 7'6" ML but they're rated XF.
  8. MmmHmm. Brain farts are the #1 cause of broken rods.
  9. I've placed 5 orders in the past week. Checked my CC account. All is well so far.
  10. How cheap is it? Does it have a view of the mountains?
  11. I don't gut 'em. Either keep 'em alive or ice 'em.
  12. Another Ugly Stick? If it was working for you, why not buy another? 90% catch rate is pretty dang good.
  13. I have a birth defect. I was born without a willpower, and with an extra impulse buying gene.
  14. I fear that if I die first, my wife will sell all my guns, guitars, and fishing gear for what I told her I paid for them.
  15. ARK Cobb 7'2" M F and another Lew's LFS 7.5 reel. That's four ARK rods and two Lew's reels on the BF sale for me. Tuesday can't get here fast enough. I'm outta control.
  16. I imagine he was. The cost of cleanup and fines for a spill is enormous. Drivers are always one major screw up from having to find a new career. We run alot of back roads hauling from the wells to offload and processing facilities. It's a pretty sweet gig when it's not snowy and icy. Pretty darn scary when it is. That cat GIF is pretty funny!!!
  17. When y'all get that game mastered, you should come up and play it in the WV panhandle on 18 wheels with 13 gears, and 8000 gallons of crude in the tank. Whole new level of pucker factor!!! Nothing like having your trailer trying to pass you down a 20% grade to keep you on your toes. Thankfully we usually only have a handfull of those rodeo days a year.
  18. Happy Thanksgiving. I worked, so we're having the kids over for the big family meal Saturday. I fried up some crappie and hushpuppies for the wife and I this evening.
  19. Rods arrived today. After being able to compare the B-Hittay side by side with my MH Winches, the ARK is slightly faster, and has a bit more backbone. It falls nicely in between the MH Winch and my BPS 7'3" H crankin stick. I think I'm gonna be very happy with them for chatterbaits and ploppers but they're definitely not an "all around" type of rod. The Money Maker is a versatile rod. It'll handle flukes OK and excels with T Rigs. It has plenty of power for heavy cover, but while the tip isn't super fast it's pretty stiff for treble hook baits. Not sure it's what you're looking for. Derek1 made a good suggestion with the BPS Carbonlite 2.0. I have a 7'6" MH that's seen lots of use over a few seasons and it's held up well. Pretty sensitive, good backbone with a nice soft tip. Solid choice in it's price range. I didn't buy more because I'm not a fan of the Wynn grips, but lots of folks love'em.
  20. I picked up a second Money Maker and two B-Hittay's on the BF sale. That puts me at 9 Tharps, and I'll probably buy a second One Eyed Jack as well. Picked up one of those MGL's a couple months ago. I'm a fan. Smoooth as butter and pitches light baits very well.
  21. Not on the exclusion list but I bought a Lew's LFS casting reel. It showed regular price, but when I added it to my cart the 20% discount was applied.
  22. Some stuff doesn't show the discount until you add it to your cart.
  23. 10-4. Atwood is the only lake I've seen it. I also fish Leesville, Clendening, and Piedmont alot.
  24. ARK Tharp, or Invoker pro over the Curado for sure. No experience with the Victory. I also prefer the Ark blank over any Dobyns up to and including the Champ XP for bottom contact.
