I have found AGM batteries to be the best for my purposes. They are sealed and can be installed just about any where and any way you want them to be. I sold my boat year before last. It had Optimas in it that had been going strong for over 4 years (trouble) free. When I bought my new boat I had 4 Blue top Optimas put in it. I might buy something besides Optimas some day but then again maybe not.

I bought a new boat in the summer of 2016. It came with a NOCO 4 bank charger. In less than a year one of the banks went bad. It was replaced and the new one has been going strong since.

I hope that the Celtics shut Cleveland down in 4.

I'm guessing you got water in it thus the interference. If it were mine I'd try to dry it out and epoxy then test. If it works you are good. If it doesn't you are out a little time and a bit of epoxy.

They are definitely baits that I don't have in my arsenal. Blue you should have kept the "overstock" as commission for your work on this project.

I can't tell you the number of times I have seen this happen. Some people have had complete "come aparts" over this.

I have noticed very little difference in the performance of Lowrance units no matter what the water color is.

No not in general it won't make you a better fisherman, however, I take my wife's friend's husband from time to time. His idea of equipment is Wally world close outs. At least half of the day he is busy picking out back lashes while I am casting. Decent equipment may not make him better at catching fish but at least it would give him more opportunity to do so. He is already skilled enough at picking out the birds' nests.

A popsnagger is very handy pliers, braid cutter, hook threader, eye cleaner, and hook sharpener. It never leaves my boat.

I'd carry 1/2 a broom handle if I went where yard carp are hanging out. They only charge at me 1 time.

I change baits way before I change patterns. When I am by myself I often have 10 setups rigged and ready. I keep some on the deck and some at the passenger's console. I make a predetermined # of casts then pick up a different setup. If I make it through all of them and have nothing, I move the boat and try something else. When all else fails out comes the little guy. If they won't hit him they won't hit anything.

Pick one or the other. Getting into both at the same time is a big task. My suggestion is to find someone or some place that will sell you painted jig heads and weed guards, buy some skirts and assemble them. That way you can see what it takes to put them together then decide if or not you want to spend the money for lead, lead pot, molds and all of the other components that it takes to be successful. If you decide plastics look at Barlows, Jann's, Lurecraft or others for some kind of starter kit. You can easily tie up several hundred dollars getting into either one of these activities.

Any time one of my reels isn't casting as good as I expect it to, I lay it aside and when I get home I open it up and put a tiny drop of oil in each bearing and clean and relube the brake drum. My Chronarch directions say to do this after every trip, which I don't but do often. It only takes a minute and makes fishing more enjoyable.

I use a ML Gloomis Bronzeback 6'9" with a Curado 70 XG and 6# fluro for Ned Rig 3/32 oz and heavier.

The jig looks good. The paint on the eye won't hurt as long as you can get the line through the hole. If you want to keep the paint off the eye, hold the jig by the eye with pliers or hemostats. It is a bit tricky but you will get the hang of it. I'm looking forward to seeing some of your Poison Tail jigs. Look at Cadman's avatar. When you want to really get going you can learn the tap method. It is what Cadman's is widely known for being, one of, if not the best in the business. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.
