  1. That sounds like it will work. All of my Ned setups are shorter than my power setups. That is just the way I like it. My experience with lines comes from fishing with several other guys. I have found that those who don’t use fluorocarbon get to watch me catch more fish than them. Based on that I recommend you use a fluorocarbon leader.
  2. Maybe you just got a couple of hermaphrodites.
  3. Mostly they are good people though not all have the same level of expertise. The service department is a whole different situation.
  4. I’d try MNFISHER’S idea. I bought 900’ of 3 1/2” steel pipe and cut into 7’ lengths for posts with that type of blade and a chop saw from Harbor Freight.
  5. I get shrink tubing from the mud hole and cover my cork.

I haven’t used anything but my cell phone for pictures in years..
  7. Hi Vis yellow or white no leader except in cold clear water.
  8. I got my blades from Barlows. I use a split ring. I get all of the vibration I want.
  9. Six years is a good run. The trolling motor batteries will usually drop in power and not last all day when they are near the end. Your cranker may get weak and make your motor hard to start or it might just fail.
  10. When you are referring to rod companies do you mean brands or manufacturers?
  11. I put 800 hours on my last motor. It was going strong when I traded ot off. I’d have the motor checked out by a good mechanic to be sure that it was sound.
  12. I’ve gotten the flyer a couple of times. I haven’t seen anything in it to make me drive the 9 miles.
  13. Like Blue I pour my own. I’ve tried most sizes but use 1/4 to 1/2 most of the time. My favorite baits on them are Paca craw juniors and Gene Larew salt craws.
  14. Birds like herons can spread stuff from one body of water to another one.
  15. I used to work on them as soon as I got them. Today’s Shimanos work well enough for me out of the box.
  16. All of my Ned setups are around 6’. I can cast them plenty far where I fish. I am a line watcher and this length works best for me.
  17. The semi v is not going to be as stable as the jon.
  18. I started with a 12’ styrofoam canoe. Then a 16’ richline aluminum with a 9 horse Merc.
  19. 3/16 head with a TRD is as light as I can go.
  20. I most always use 2 for spinner baits and a different one for buzz baits. Any more would clutter the deck and I only have room for 8 setups at a time.
  21. I use 1000 and 2000 size reels but find M rods too much so I use ML. I rarely use heavier than 3/16 heads.
  22. I have flush at console and gimbal mounts at the bow. The angle of flush at the bow was my concern when I had the boat rigged. Even when gimbal mounted I did not take them off and never had problems. Besides if someone wanted to steal them I have insurance.
  23. Sams usually has decent prices on agm batteries. The more reserve capacity (rc) the longer it will go.
