  1. It would be worse if you dropped your Chronarch overboard in the process.?
  2. That is how I do it. I also put tape over the knot so I can see when I am getting close to the splice.
  3. I only use 2 (War Eagle and my home made).
  4. A setup with a medium rod to me is for shaky or cranking. Finesse is when I pull out my ml Bronzeback and my Curado 70.
  5. Sounds like a deal to me but I don’t have the skills to even imagine how it would be accomplished. I’m still in awe of my Ulterra deploying and stowing with a remote or from my HB screens and all of the functions it has.
  6. Take the hooks off an old top water bait.
  7. In today’s world if you want to get the most out of your electronics they need to work with your trolling motor. If the boat you get needs a trolling motor upgrade you need to decide what features you want or need and match them accordingly.
  8. If they won’t take shaky, I feed them Ned.
  9. Put the jig in a vice or vice grips. Get some thread wrap it around the hook shank a few times. Take a little skirt material, hold it in place and wrap it with thread. Keep repeating the process moving around the hook until you have it finished. Tie it with half hitches and put some super glue on the thread.
  10. I ran a 225 Mercury Optimax for 14 years with 0 repairs. It had over 800 hours on it when I traded it. Semi annual lower unit lube, annual water separating fuel filter and plugs every 100 hours was normal maintenance.
  11. If you can get to a store that has a good selection ask a salesman to show you what the different units in your price range can do. Don’t let him go too fast for you to understand what he is doing. Go back many times until you get the feel of things. He should be glad to help you because you are the profit.
  12. I don’t know anything about companies in your area. I carry collision, liability, comprehensive, theft, and vandalism on my boat just like on my truck. Additionally I have a writer on my equipment.
  13. The condition of the boat and compression check of the motor would be the most important factors for me.
  14. A keeper smallmouth where I fish is a nice fish. They have to be 15” long to be a keeper and the biologists say it takes 10 years for one to grow that big.
  15. I’ve been using it for a long time. Mud Hole is about the only place I can find it now.
  16. I don’t notice bleeding. Are you hooking the fish deep in the throat?
  17. So Tom is that a good thing or a bad thing?
  18. Like Ditch Panda stated, it depends on the size of the bait. I use hooks from #2 to 5/0 depending on the bait. I am assuming that you meant 3/0 and 4/0 when you were mentioning hook sizes.
  19. No you need an infrared thermometer.
  20. Well I don’t go to the lake to visit. I go to fish. I don’t approach others and don’t want to be approached.
  21. I wondered in the beginning why an airplane giant would want in the outboard motor business. I spent 2 days in meeting in Kansas City with them after they took over from OMC. They never mentioned any strategies for regaining the share of the market that had been lost.
  22. If that is what they say, I would call them and ask why.
  23. I think your charger idea will work.
  24. 1 setup, 1 5 gallon bucket with a lid (ready made seat) and what ever I decide to put in the bucket.
  25. My father in law wore them. Must have been a sight when one had to do number two with one on.?
