  1. South East PA are you fishing the Susky? Down here in Merryland right before the storm rains came fishing picked up. Finally got to put away all the Ned stuff as they started chasing baits. Prior to whatever hurricane came up the East Coast? Spinnerbaits, Poppers, and 3.3" Keitech Fat Impacts were working for me. Other baits worked but nowhere near as well as those 3. Allen
  2. If you are still around next year I can take you out. All my boats are currently down for repairs. Allen
  3. Those look really good. Allen
  4. JDM, rare, and they are in heavier sizes like 1.5 or 2oz. Allen
  5. For cold water jigs I suggest maybe adding bucktail
  6. Around here any color buzzbait works as long as its white. Allen
  7. Nice looking baits. Allen
  8. So, I now have 3 boats and may buy another next week? Currently have an X18 Xpress with a 150 Optimax that i converted to a jet that ran like crap. I have an aluminum johnboat I inherited that I cannot register. Recently I purchased a 2003 River Rave jetboat that needs more work than I want to get into? Recently I found a 2004 River Rave similar to the one I currently own with a 2021 115/80 Mercury in better shape than what I have at a good price. Plan right now is to buy the newer River Rave boat and sell off the other two boats. Worst case scenario I should be able to fish out of one of the 4 boats this spring. Allen
  9. Let me start by saying 2 years ago I made the decision to switch my boat from a prop to jet in order to be able to fish more local tournaments. This turned out to be a mistake as my boat is a step hull and runs like crap as a jet. In May the motor sucked up some crap and blew the powerhead which State Farm didn't pay until mid August. I have been bank fishing since then which is a different experience. Bought a jet boat at the end of August which needs more work than I wanted to get into. Additionally I have a john boat I inherited from my grandfather that nobody can find the title to. So here I am owning 3 boats and none of them I can fish from! It hasn't been the best year of fishing for me to say the least. God willing next year I will have at least one boat to fish from. Allen
  10. Zoom fish doctor, I have some somewhere around here. Allen
  11. to me the only color that matters is the belly as that is what the fish can see. White followed by black are the only colors I need for topwaters. Allen
  12. Look into Owner Riggin hooks. Allen
  13. Roll my own most of the time. Only factory spinnerbaits I regularly use are SK Midnight Specials. Trailers sometimes a grub, SK blade minnow, or the Zoom split tail. Best spinnerbaits overall for me are 1/2oz hidden weight in shad colors with double nickel blades. Allen
  14. Always had good results on the Zoom hook they made for this. To keel the frog I will wrap 3 or 4 wraps of solder around the lowest portion of the hook and put some heat shrink on. Allen
  15. Find a buddy that pours heads and ask him to make you some. Looking at some of the links in this post I can't believe what they are asking for simple tubeheads. Allen
  16. Have a buddy that pours some for me in Yamamoto's color called Natural Shad. Color is just smoke with sparce gold and black flake that just looks like a baitfish around here. Factory Zoom I only use pearl white and albino for the most part. Allen
  17. Any straight tail worm will work for this. Currently I am using Zoom Swamp Crawlers in green pumkin, black, and scuppernong. Allen
  18. Owner Weighted Twistlock Light 3pk | Tackle Warehouse These work, Allen
  19. Where are you fishing? For me jerkbaits mean cold clear water. Overall my 3 favorite colors (Lucky Craft) are Ghost Minnow, Baitfish Silver, and Pearl Ayu. Now I will say that jerkbaits are a bait that you should carry more of as because fish are finicky. If you are looking for specific 110 colors I suggest Matte Shad Ozark Shad, and FA Ghost Wakasaki. Overall my best jerkbait is a Lucky Craft Pointer in Ghost Minnow. Allen
  20. Based on helping him with the bait I would say they are slow floaters. He went through two versions before the one he sells because they were weighted too light. They will not match the suspending performance of an original MB but for $2 they are really good. I worked with him to compensate for weight of the bait with a 2 part epoxy and #6 hooks with ballasting. Allen
  21. Fine Cut Silicone Material (10pk) (lurepartsonline.com) They have some fine cut skirt material. Allen
  22. Have you looked at Lurebuild, com? I know the owner and go to the shop about once a week. If you want me to check on a specific blank let me know. His Vision 110+1Jr blank is really good. Allen
  23. The baits everyone is mentioning I classify as two different ones. Do nothing ones like the Gary Larew and action craws. The action craws I put in the same category as creature baits. Allen
  24. Chartreuse or white with a dark back would be my starting point. Rattling baits if the water is unusually murky. Allen
