  1. Beatles spin body. Allen
  2. 40 and below for me. Allen
  3. Sluggo was the magic bait for me as a teenager. I caught 100's of fish on the 4.5" alewife one. Stopped using them for some reason? Allen
  4. Small bullet weight for fishing current otherwise weightless is what works best. Allen
  5. Overall green pumpkin is the best soft plastic color for me. Allen
  6. Translucent and silent baits for clear water. Sometimes I downsize but it usually ends up with small fish. Allen
  7. Keep them in the original bags and put all similar baits in a 1 gallon freezer bag. Tried so many methods for storage and this works best for me. Generally, I have a senko, ned bait, creature bait, worm, etc. which allows me to maximize storage and easily find baits I need. Allen
  8. Anyone have one they want to get rid of? Allen
  9. Wasn't the original Slug-go in this color? Sort of a gray back, pearl belly with a little bit of blue tint? Allen
  10. Need to get some pics of what I have found over the last year. Since the local Dick's started selling 6th Sense I have been finding a ton of their baits. Hope the 6th Sense lipless are good baits as I now have 8 of them. Allen
  11. 1/8, 3/16, and 1/4oz are the 3 I use but I could probably get away with just 3/16. Allen
  12. Spinnerbait frames are made in standard sizes and will be listed as R3, TW4, etc. R is for R bend and TW is twisted loop which are the most popular. The number behind it corresponds to a specific head and arm length. For example, a standard War Eagle spinnerbait is an R3 while the Screaming Eagle is a R2. Bigger the number the bigger the frame size and 95% of bass baits use a 2-4 frame. Wire type and diameter are the next thing to tackle once you figure out frame size. I would need more information on what you are doing to help you further. Allen
  13. My brother caught one on the Potomac when we were teenagers that measured 21.5". At the time I didn't know anything about crappie it was just the biggest one I had ever seen. We threw it back along with everything else we caught and didn't think much about it. When we went to the local bait shop they had pictures on the wall for a biggest fish contest. The biggest crappie so far that year was 17" and when I told the owner what Justin caught he said we probably just threw back the state record. I have caught a lot of 16-19" ones all on jerkbaits in the spring fishing for bass at a small local lake. Allen
  14. The secret to catching Musky around here is to use expensive baits and light line. I have never fished for them but usually catch 3 or 4 a year fishing for bass. Last one I caught worth mentioning was 45" 21lbs on a JDM No-Knock LC Sammy. If you can fish the Potomac in western Maryland right now I know exactly where they are. A buddy of mine is a guide and he saw 7 of them cruising around a flat Sunday. The place he was at is also where the state record was caught a couple years ago. Allen
  15. Years ago I use to fish for them with my brother and friends. What we used was oatmeal with Koolaid mixed in. Grab and handful of oatmeal, put your hand in the water and just keep squeezing until it makes a hard ball. Treble hook with the oatmeal ball no weight has caught 100's of carp for me. My record is 32lbs and the average size we caught were 15-20lbs all day long. Allen
  16. So you won a truck for catching a tagged fish? How did I miss this story? Allen
  17. Heat set with a hair dryer not a heat gun and you should be fine. Allen
  18. All the LPO spinnerbaits I have ever seen with this wire are .035. Allen
  19. Anyone has a Jackal DD79 jerkbaits in natural colors they want to trade? Allen
  20. Man that color right there and the solid white one wreck fish for me May to September. Colder clear water I like silent baits most of the time. Allen
  21. I used to do this with one or two type baits a year to become a better angler overall. After a while you just figure out what works best and only need a few of each bait. The exception to this rule for me is hard jerkbaits in the spring or fall. All the other hardbaits I use for the year could fit in a single Plano 3700. I have had many days where jerkbait #11 was the one they wanted. Allen
  22. The brownish wire is called super stainless and I have made 1000 spinnerbaits using it. The wire is tempered so it is stronger per given diameter than other wire. Mark Mercer at Mustang Wire makes the super stainless wire forms. To buy direct from him there's a 1 to 10k minimum depending if it's a stock item. Otherwise Lurepartsonline sells the wire forms from Mustang Wire. If you just need a couple spinnerbait frames to try I can send you a couple to try. I have. 032,.035, and. 040 frames. Allen
  23. This is what I use as well based on line size. As I am getting older those tiny guided just don't work for me. Casing I use size 5 runners and spinning 4 or 4.5 work best. Allen
  24. Carolina rig bait rigged flat side down is how I have fished them. Allen
  25. Looking over everyone's list these are the things I believe I have: Stanley spinnerbaits regular and titanium Zoom Znail worms in GP Zoom fluke Gobies Rapala long cast Minnow Storm square bill wart but I am not sure if it's what everyone's looking for? Allen
