  2. So looking through my computer I found the Rick Clunn seasonal patterns that someone took pictures of the articles and sent me. If anyone is interested I will send these to Glenn so hopefully he can post them as they are too large in size for me to post. Allen
  3. Yes, depending on circumstances. Some people are just a**hats so they are on their own, I do like to help kids as I was helped as a child myself. Literally did this yesterday! An older gentleman was trout fishing a place I fish for SM. He said he had been there all day and was just looking to fill his 5 trout limit. He had been there 6 hours and only had 2 fish so I put on a Meeps spinner and caught two trout to help him out. He caught another fish so he was able to go home with 5 trout and I felt good. Allen
  4. I carefully spent 30 minutes on each jig cutting every stand to a different length. They are then lost within 15 minutes of fishing but I know its the cool thing to do now. Seriously some of you are way overthinking this! Skirt just needs to go past the hook and not interfere with the trailer. Stand count depends on what you are trying to achieve with the bait. For me swim jigs are 30 to 44 count, finesse 44 count, flippin 55 to 66 depending on weight, and heavy football jigs get Starflash skirts. Allen
  5. 1641 Pencil Skirt Tool at LurePartsOnline.com Allen
  6. Either 3.5 or 3.75 I forget? I like the smaller baits better than say a full size beaver. Allen
  7. There are 2 or 3 around here that all need repainted. Something is up with the paint that you can just wipe it off? Allen
  8. Own maybe 75 to 100 of them? Carry a 3600 Plano box full with multiples of like 6 baits. What I have found if one of the four main ones I use isn't working neither will any other traps. Allen
  9. For us northerners who fish cold sub 40 degree water. Allen
  10. T-Rig, C-Rig, and Shakeyhead. Allen
  11. Dark brown Allen
  12. BOSS 3/16oz finesse heads with finecut silicone. Costs about $2 each for a jig and the only tool you need is $5 (pictured). Allen
  13. Not the biggest SM but catching anything around here in February besides hypothermia is a feat. Didn't know they stocked this spot with trout today so people were everywhere. One guy did catch a 6lb golden trout by me on a spinner which was impressive. Also lost a LM right at the bank on a finesse jig. This would have been the first LM I have caught ever in this section of the creek. Allen
  14. Even though I hardly make any soft plastics I just can't resist some molds. These caught my eye so I figured I would buy a single cavity of each to try. Allen
  15. I see you struggling with that net so I figured I would help you out. Allen
  16. Here is my plan to catch my PB SM this year. Buy some perch colored jerkbaits, gather some chatterbaits, drive up to A Jays house in the beginning of May to be his net man on chunkymonkey lake. Since he is catching all the 6lbers I will settle for the table scrap 5lb SM. Allen
  17. Your talking about PoMonkey however its spelled on the Lower Potomac correct? Allen
  18. You can't use that alabama rig in Maryland, has too many hooks. Allen
  19. 607 Ring Swim Bait — BTSMOLDS.COM Best one made but not cheap. Allen
  20. Just checked my local Walmart and found one pack of baby bass 5" senkos for $0.98. Guess I missed the boat on this one. Allen
  21. Kemp Mill is now off limits here. I have fished there for 30 years and if I owned it I would not allow fishing either. It has always been private property but the guy who owned it was cool with fishing. All he asked was to not trash the place. He put trash cans out even a picnic table. Well people threw the trash cans in the creek and set the table on fire along with trashing the place. He shut it down for a couple years then gave people a second chance and put up signs saying private property don't trash it. The signs were torn down and burned so now a large fence is being installed. Allen
  22. Forget where I saw it but something about him moving to the coast to be closer to family? He was selling off a lot of Loomis rods which sent up red flags. That's why he said he was selling off a lot of his bass stuff. Allen
  23. He lives about 15 minutes north of me. Last time I spoke with him he was concentrating on catching Muskies. Allen
  24. Looks like a lot of the responses depends on the type of water you are fishing. Someone fishing Erie needs a drop shot. Florida guys I doubt use a DS much. There are a lot of different fishing conditions around here but not much muddy waters. Upper Potomac and all the reservoirs are usually crystal clear. Allen
