  1. Fishing from the bank at a local creek and went to change baits to find this. It didn't want to get out either. Had to flip over the bag to get it out. Allen
  2. Whopper plopper catches every blade of grass preventing the tail from spinning. Allen
  3. I will say that is the best SM river crankbait I own. Allen
  4. Picked up two of these after seeing the ones a buddy was re-painting from being chewed up on the Potomac. My 3 best are an old Rebel Zell Rowland, LC G-Splash, and a Team Diawa one I found on Ebay. Allen
  5. Bottom color in clear halo flake There is some smoke green crystal (What War Eagle uses for their Mouse color) I cannot find that exact color anywhere? Look at the two I posted below and see if they will work? And if you are painting the heads yourself the green paint looks like Wicked Detail Moss Green over white or pearl. 6. Hard to see on my phone what color it is? I will look on my computer later and see if I can identify it. Allen
  7. Zoom has always worked for me. Allen
  8. Found an alternative solution. Thanks for the replies. Allen
  9. Anyone has a couple of these VMC Neko weights in 1/32 and 1/16oz they would sell or trade? I only need like 2 of each size and my local tackle shop doesn't have any. Don't want to spent $10 shipping for just a couple weights. The plan is to see if I can make some hover jigheads out of them for a local fishing buddy. Allen
  10. They make them in colors besides green pumkin? Allen
  11. Couldn't find any I liked so I started making my own. Allen
  12. Did you lose your re-election? Allen
  13. Rarely do I use trailer hooks and if I do short shank ones work best. Like jerkbaits if they are just swiping a spinnerbait without committing you need to make a change. Color, retrieve, etc. make small adjustments until it works. Right now on the Upper Potomac they are hitting spinnerbaits like a freight train. There are 3 different baits working right now that I just have to figure out which one they like best that day. Allen
  14. Home | Mustang Wire Products Mark at Mustang Wire finally fixed his website. This is where I get all my wire keepers, weedguards, and spinnerbait frame. Allen
  15. In Western Maryland it has been a spinnerbait on the river for 2 weeks. Square bill was working really well one day. Caught a bunch of lake LM on a Ned creature bait. Allen
  16. Calipers battery is dead so I need to figure out where to get one. I use two different wire weedguards in baits. One one that Ned is the lightest and personally only good for Neds. Other one is a twisted wire I mainly use for tube heads. Allen
  17. Looks like I now have a local guy to help me even if he put the spinning reel seats on upside down. Allen
  18. Not sure the weedguard size I can hit it with the calipers to see. The reason for the bend in the weedguard is two fold. First the first thing that pokes the fish is the hook, second is that the weedguard doesn't blind the fish. Allen
  19. Sand down where the bill use to be, cut a lip slot and glue in a circuit board bill to fix it. Allen
  20. Keitech Fat Impact in Pro Staff is the best for bluegill pattern I have used. Allen
  21. Finished head, now the waiting game for the other hooks to arrive. Allen
  22. So I have some $150 airbrushes and some $20 ones as well. For most of what I do I really like some of the cheap brushes. No they cannot do the quality of detail but nothing I paint requires it? I am painting basic patterns and if I want gills, craw lines, etc I use a stencil. Look into the brush MN Fisher posted above and a Harbor Freight airbrush compressor. Wicked brand paints over regular Createx for less problems. Pearl paints are the hardest for me to mix and shoot well. Just throwing some lessons I have learned through frustration and airbrush tossing. Allen
  23. Looks like you have a new topwater. Allen
  24. Crayfish colored crank that dives deeper than the water you are fishing. Grind it through the rocks and it looks like a crayfish scurrying along the bottom. I catch way more SM in moving water than LM in lakes. Allen
