  1. http://www.***.com/descpageHDRDAIWA-TDM425.html# Try this one out when you get a chance it is the best summer jerkbait I own. Allen
  2. Why does the x-rap work for everyone but me? They do not suspend right, the lip breaks off, and worst of all I cannot catch fish on them. Like everyone else I carry;husky jerks, rogues, SK wild shiners and some bomber long A's but in the clear spring water is is LC. I have a big box of stuff in my basement to sell of different stuff I have collected from who knows where? Sometime I need to see what is actually in there so I can post it up here. Allen
  3. I am going to get one of those too just haven't figured out which color yet? 8-) Do you have a Daiwa live-n- cicada yet? It is a topwater with two paddle wheels on the side like an old steam boat. Allen
  4. Even though I have curbed my spending on a lot of tackle these are still my weakness. I just cannot help myself when it comes to these baits. Right now I have 2 X-92 Megabass Edonis jerkbaits sitting on my desk I found on ebay. If there is a high end bait from Japan I probably have 3 of them in my basement. Below I will list them to see if anyone else has the same problem. Lucky craft: Pointers(aka b'freeze), slender pointers, staysee, live pointer, sahara, flashminnow Megabass: Vision, Revenge, X-92 Edonis OSP Asura Evergreen M-1 Inspire minnow Team Diawa minnow HKML minnow Yo-Zuri Xcaliber These are what I can think of off hand without checking? Allen
  5. I like the super chunk style craw trailers. Allen
  6. The only bait I have seen ZOOM sell in bulk 100 bags was their 6" lizards, but that was a while ago. Call ZOOM direct and see what dealers may still sell in bulk. Brad Thanks, What about Yamamoto or Kinami do they sell in bulk? Allen
  7. 6'3" Shimano Crucial PT-650 Quantum 10lb Big Game= Clear Allen

  9. This is how I use reels: 6-1= Anything that I am using the rod to move the lure like jigs, soft plastics, etc. 5-1= Crankbaits, spinnerbaits, anything that requires a constant retrieve? 4-1= Deep diving crankbaits ( The low ratio prevents my ADHD from kicking in and reelin to fast ;D) Now I will use a 6-1 for spinnerbaits in the fall and like someone else said it is the best all around gear ratio. Allen
  10. Barlows Tackle Staminainc These are good to start with along with Jann's. Check ebay too as there are some good deals there sometimes. Allen
  11. Have someone check out your current ones first. I bought a used basstracker and the transducer was bad. If you decide to get a new unit I know that hummingbirds swivel so you can see them from the front deck. For most of this year I would just turn the screen around when I stopped to fish. Allen
  12. Anyone know where I can buy Zoom baby brush hogs in bulk? Not the knock offs because they do not work as well. Allen
  13. LC Gunnish Allen
  14. I do not think I would use glass on a hot plate? Wal-Mart sells a small set of pans that will only hols a couple of ounces for like $7? I bought some along with a hot plate but have never used either. Allen
  15. Nice! I like the color coordinated split rings. Allen
  16. I have a couple of the craw trailer ones and they work well. The unsteady hand pouring them is the biggest problem so far. Allen
  17. What kind of warranty does it have? You may be able to take it back. If it is not under warranty you may be able to repair it yourself. I know the sell replacement heating coils for the laddle pot I have. Allen
  18. Well this is going to make me quite popular but... How about just letting the alone so they can; spawn, defend their fry, and not have to worry about fisherman while they are vulnerable ? :-? Everyone talks about "preserving the resource" but in the time it takes you to land and take that picture the bluegill can destroy the nest. I am not some sleeper cell PETA member or anything I just believe in letting them spawn in peace so there will be more bass. Allen

    Rattles?

I use Eakins style finesse jigs all the time and I never use rattles. When I use a finesse style jig it is clear to stained water and even though I have tried rattles they just do not work for me. Now for muddy water the Strike Pro model jig seems to shine. These are the only jigs I use that I do not make myself (because I cannot find the same rattles). Allen
  20. I just found a staysee 80sp in baitfish silver on ebay! ;D It only took a couple of months but now I will have one. Allen
  21. I have seen tiger muskee's bite hooked bass almost in half! Allen
  22. Devcon 2 ton 30 minute epoxy from Wal-Mart brushed on with a small paintbrush. Allen
  23. Lightninrod, Would I have to take out a second mortgage on my house to get one of those? Allen
  24. Like Avid said they are the best looking most detailed baits on the market. I only fished two Megabass lures last year the Vision jerkbait and a jr something spook type bait. As for fish catching ability I did catch some on the walker but nothing to write home about and the Vision is a total flop for me. This winter I have purchased some other baits to try like the giant dog-x (which isn't that big), pop-x, etc. The bait I have the most hope for is the X-92 Edonis jerkbait (see link below) Allen http://cgi.ebay.com/Megabass-X-92-X-92-SW-Minnow-Edonis-2004-GG-Seguro_W0QQitemZ170062914541QQihZ007QQcategoryZ7300QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem
  25. 6'6" -7' MH baitcaster on any of the better rods whatever your preference. If you like Kistler look at the graphite series before you get a LTA? I have both and to tell you the truth I like the $100 graphite series rod better than the $230 LTA rod. Allen
