  1. I want to know where to buy these hooks? Allen
  2. I did get a pack of each of these in a lot of plastics from Facebook. Allen
  3. Barlows tackle lists alternative hooks for molds. Allen
  4. First step is to admit you have a problem which is hard for this group. Allen
  5. Last year the Baby 1- and a Bandit 100 were the go-to but this year nothing. Same with jigs, last year caught a ton of fish on a finesse jig this year 4 total. Allen
  6. Tried to make a get together happen several times but have failed. Giving it another shot as it would be good to meetup with others in the area. My proposal is Black Hills Lake Seneca in April or May. Black Hills is central to the state and the fishing is normally great in April/May. I will have an open seat in my boat and just about any boat can be used there including Kayaks. Figured I would ask now so it give people enough time to consider. Allen
  7. My poorly tired jigs, the one on the right is what I caught that last fish on. The black one is what I was using to catch fish last January. Allen
  8. There are 3 full 66 quart totes in my basement with just senkos. Now I have sold or given away 16 rods in the past 3 years so they are almost under control. Reduced my number of Plano boxes from 119 to 82 so some progress is being made. Allen
  9. Jigs Crankbaits Jerkbait (Although I missed the pre-spawn) Chatterbait After a couple trips I took most of these out of the boat. Allen
  10. Normally my fishing time is split 50/50 between local lakes and the river. This year I focused on the river starting in June which definitely are different baits. Top producers: Ned craw Popper Evergreen JT 95 Football wobblehead w/zcraw jr Fluke Tube I was really surprised by the number of fish caught in July on topwaters. They normally work early morning and late evening but we were catching them middle of the day in clear 18" FOW. Allen
  11. Wife is quietly forcing my hand on this because of the amount of stuff I have. We have a pellet stove and the last 2 years have not bought any pellets. I have fishing stuff piled where the pellets normally go and, on the steps, making it hard to get into the basement. Garage has been taken over as well and its a major PITA twice a year storing her Jeep doors. Besides I have NIP lures I bought 15+ years ago just sitting around. Figured if I have not used them by now I never will so selling could free up money for a FFS setup. Allen
  12. Trying to cull tackle so I am going to not buy much this year. I am going to pick up a few things listed below. Evergreen JT 95 Iovino Popper Jackal Nagisa Vision 110+ Jr Bulk spool of 6 or 8lb Floro (I forget which I need) Have the guides wrapped on a baitcast rod I started building 2 years ago Plan is to get rid of 10 lures for everyone I buy to thin the herd. Allen
  13. You have better luck than whoever has been fishing them at Cunnigham Falls lake here in Maryland. Walked the lake after draw down and found 9 lipless cranks stuck in trees. Found 3 Six Sense ones along with some Redeye shads. Allen
  14. I have a Cordell jerkbait that only catches walleye? No other fish just walleye for some unknown reason. Not sure if its the specific color or just that one bait? The exact bait in another color catches bass and sometimes channel cats. As for flatheads they seem to like jigs dragged along the bottom. Allen
  15. Feeling better and had the day free in 45 degree weather so I hit a local creek. Not the biggest bass but for December 29th it completes my 12 month challenge. This also sets a new personal record for latest bass date caught in the year. Previous record was December 23 so now I am at the 29th. Fish was caught on one of my own poorly tied hair jigs. Allen
  16. For small finesse look at some Crappie soft plastics. Allen
  17. Don't think I can complete the challenge this year. Re-injured my back and knee in December which really limits my fishing. Finally able to stand more than 30 minutes at a time, maybe I can fish or pour some baits. Allen
  18. One of my favorite trailers and colors. Allen
  19. If I remember correctly from the Nichols video they mix glitter in with a thin epoxy. This works with KBS as it is really thin, just put a little KBS in a small jar and add the epoxy. Otherwise spray some rattlecan clear over the blade, spray it with that glitter spray everyone posted then hit it again with the clear. Allen
  20. Actually said Rainshadow in cursive and the pic I believe was on rodbuilding.org. After Christmas I will take some pics of the rod alongside other MH rods for reference. Allen
  21. That blade looks like it is on backwards? Allen
  22. What I saw was someone took off the handle of a Kistler California Series rod and he posted pictures of the RX7 sticker on the butt off the rod. Tried a 6-10 Falcon rod and it was heavier than I liked. Also the handle was longer than what I wanted. Just going to make a custom rod on the Elite blank and see if it works for me? For measurements I went with the width of the blank above the reel seat compared to other rods and tip diameter. As for CCS while I know what that is I don't know how I would measure it on a made rod with 1.5" of tip broken off. Allen
  23. Based on blank diameter and the way it fishes I personally would not call this a MH. My unexpert opinion would rate this as a medium+? Itys heavier than any medium I have used but not as heavy as any other MH I have owned. Based upon measurements I have taken the above blank is the closest thing I have ever found. The original Kistler was made on a Rainshadow RX7 blank per information I found online. Allen
  24. MHX 6'10" Med-Heavy Elite Pro Rod Blank - NEPS82MHF-MHX (mudhole.com) Looking at this bland to replace my favorite T-Rig Kistler rod with the same specs that fell victim to a power window. Wanting to know if anyone has any experience with these blanks? This rod length is rare and even if I cut down a 7' rod they always are heavier than I want. I like this because it has the exact same specs as the Kistler California Series Senko rod my Tahoe window ate. Allen
  25. Look into the Fuji KR guide concept. When I first saw it I thought it was weird looking but it works. Allen
