  1. Best new plastic I have used lately is a Zoom Zcraw on a football wobblehead. I picked up some 5" Yamamoto shad shape worms to try though. Allen
  2. You are giving away the secret color! Glad I stocked up on them before they are sold out. I would try a blade bait like a silver buddy? Drop shot has never worked for me in cold water for some reason. Allen
  3. These would be easy to make by pouring a drop shot with the swivel upside down. A large bobber stop can then be used on the line. As for texas rigged baits most of the time its a 4" GP colored creature bait with a 3/16oz bullet weight. In the summer I do fish a lot of 7" Power worms in 3 colors; solid black, GP, and tequilla sunrise using 1/8 to 1/2oz bullet weights depending on depth. Allen
  4. Wherever I can find it, use to be fishingskirts.com. Allen
  5. Buy some finesse jigheads with finecut skirt material from Fishing Skirts and make your own.
  6. Can't believe anyone said tubes. More bass are caught around here on a tube than any other lure. I was fishing them back when they were called Gitzits. Allen
  7. You are off to a great start. For other patterns the easiest thing to do is use stencils. Most places that sell lure blanks sell stencils. Allen
  8. Bought a couple different ones to try. Amazon and Ebay are where I found them. Allen
  9. Hopefully all of them! Last year was the worst for bass fishing I have had in 20 years. Allen
  10. Solid black Solid white GP and a discontinued Madman color called Volcano. Allen
  11. Owner weighted hook that was posted in a link above. Allen
  12. Not sure where you live in PA? I fish the Susky out of City Island and the Lucky Craft Pointer 78sp or 100sp have caught tons of fish. Chartuese shad and Ghost Minnow are the 2 must have colors to start. I tend to use the Pointer 100sp more in the Susky because the fish are bigger on average. Other inexpensive baits that work are suspending Rogues and Husky jerks. There is a fishing show at the Monahan Fire Station this weekend in Dillsburg. You can usually pick lures up cheap. 13. Never understood why everyone likes this head shape so much. Allen
  14. I quit using Berkeley crankbaits year ago because the lips broke. Only other crank I have broken the bill on was a Poe's RC1 and that was 25 years ago. Allen
  15. Try turning the side cutter upside down as it will have a flatter edge instead of the wedge. Allen
  16. Gander Mountain tried to hire me to work in the fishing department. There were two guys looking for football jigs and the employee had them in the fly fishing section. I decided to help them out then someone else started asking me about spinnerbaits. After I helped a third person the manager approached and said I would be the employee of the week. The customers told him that I was very helpful and they were glad someone with a lot of fishing knowledge worked there. Told him I wasn't one of his employees so he offered me a job on the spot. It was too far of a drive or I would have taken it part time. Allen

    Jig skirts

Starflash skirts are similar to round rubber and come in more colors. I like using them when I need a bulkier profile. Allen
  18. Rattle cans work just as well as an airbrush you just can't get the same detail. I use to paint Bandit 200 blanks from JannsNetcraft pumkin orange on the belly and brown back with $0,99 spray paint. For clear coat the easiest best option you have in 2 part epoxy. Devcon 2 ton 30 minute (Don't get the 5 minute) 2 part epoxy works great as a clearcoat. Just mix equal parts and brush on with cheap art brushes. Epoxy self-levels just turn the lure a couple times so there are no pools or sags. Allen
  19. It's mostly a flea market and local tackle makers show. You can get some really good deals at these types of shows. Picked up a couple packs of senkos and Keitech swimbaits at the Capitol City one for $2 each. Besides what else are you going to do on a 28 degree day. Allen
  20. Lurebuild.com Allen
  21. Items for sale by drbobstops | eBay This guy on Ebay has blades that are different colors on each side. Allen
  22. If I have any I will trade it to you for something then. Went through a JDM jerkbait addiction phase for about 5 years. Bought one or two of every jerkbait I could find. Allen
  23. Those are going for crazy money on Ebay! What is so special about them? Looked at their website and didn't see any Slender Pointers Allen
  24. I buy everyone I can find at that fishing flea markets. Bought 12 of the brown craw with chartreuse belly ones for $10 once. They are getting harder to find though. Allen
  25. The older ones seem to work better for me, or it just might be a mental thing. Paint jobs look better now but the older ones that look like they were painted in third grade art class are the fish catchers. Allen
