  1. Hope all is well with you Keith. Let us know if we can help with anything.
  2. Take a look at the newest Mattlure offering..... Let the drooling commence!!!!! http://www.mattlures.com/HardBass.htm
  3. This one is HOT. http://www.hotsauceworld.com/satansblood.html Kinda scary looking too... It doesnt take much to get your mouth going. Eerily similar to getting hit with pepper spray..... ;D I have also been using a 357 Mad Dog sauce used with Bhut peppers. Quite spicy... I dont like to grow really, really hot peppers. The dog seems to think they look tasty.
  4. A little under 2 up to a little over 4 I believe, Dan. Depends on the length, they are all the same sink rate.
  5. The winch would be a good choice. I throw a 301 Curado D or a Cardiff 301 for baits of that size. If the winch holds enough line, I would say it should be a good choice. The Toro would be another reel to look at if you are partial to Garcia reels.
  6. Congratulations David. Well deserved.
  7. LBH = UPS FiveBass = welder (I think) Roadwarrior = Money man Glenn has a job too. Keri's job is to babysit Glenn
  8. ;D And he say dis right here....Luke is not from New Jersey.
  9. Keith, I actually do own one. 51mg on a 6'8" Alpster custom. Completely lightweight, balanced, and Dan has actually fished with it too. Before I got the MG, I had a Revo S on it. Honestly, other than the smoothness of the 51, I didnt notice a difference in the two combos. Even over an entire day of fishing, there was not an appreciable difference in my fatigue.
  10. Honestly, if I had a pond in my backyard like you do, I would do the same exact thing. 1-3lbers every day after work doesnt sound too bad to me at all.
  11. That reel only holds 70 yds of 14lb line. Flipping, pitching....sure. Throwing a spinnerbait? Sure, why not. Throwing a swimbait with that reel and 14lb line = FAIL. I would say you could probably get away with it using a fresh spool of line (maybe, and not throwing it very far), but after a couple break offs or re-ties, there just wont be enough line left.
  12. What kind of swimbait? A paddle tail (Basstrix, Berkley Hollow Belly) is not a swimbait....
  13. Methinks someone needs to hit the gym...
  14. For the record, I fight dirty. ;D
  15. Witch? Did you say witch? Man, I freakin' hate witches. They scare the crap out of me!!!!
  16. Right now, they are calling for possible T-storms all weekend. I will make a decision by tomorrow night whether or not I will make the trip. I really enjoy seeing the fellas, but I am not a big fan of fishing in a T-storm.
  17. Alrighty, so which one would be a better rod for "feel" baits?
  18. What is the difference, if any, between the two? I am not really familiar with anything Loomis....
  19. No one gets left behind on the bank. Typically, boaters/non-boaters are paired up the night before at dinner. Last year, some made plans to fish together well in advance of the Roadtrip. There will be a boat for you to fish from, no doubt.
  20. Stay away from me ;D
  21. This is how I usually find him when I get home from work... All 120lbs of him. ;D
  22. Here is the big goon himself, Smuckers....
  23. Congrats on your new PB. If you are looking to stock up on senko-type baits, take a look at ***. Brent will get you all fixed up.
  24. I dont believe anyone has officially confirmed, as in paid the registration fee. That info has not been announced yet. There is a page on Facebook where some have sent confirmation. I believe you can search for "Bass Resource 5th Annual Roadtrip" on there and it should come up. Invites were sent out via FB when the trip was announced. More near the trip, lists will be put out with contact info and what not.
  25. Yep, dont put the weight through. Something that will make it easier though... Begin to rig the bait just like any other texas rig. Put your hook point through the nose and out the neck, but stop there. Now you have a hole that is perfectly centered and a lot easier to push the eye back through. Sometimes it can be difficult to get the hook rigged straight when you try and push the hook eye up through the bait, essentially backwards from everything you have done.
