  1. Better off with legal action and notice from a lawyer sent to him...Have lawyer to serve him paperwork to return the gun or face legal action...Do not get cops involved unless he running an illegal operation. Another thing you can do, is have a buddy to show up at his shop with a gun and tell the gunsmith it needs service, and perhaps then you could show up with your buddy at the shop...Basically, have a buddy to call the gunsmith that he wants his gun service and when your buddy is suppose to go to the shop, show up with him and ask for the gun back... If the guy is running a scam, he'll most likely want to meet with your buddy at the shop.
  2. If you're comfortable with way your current living is now, why bother going back to school just to say you did it? Especially if it a degree in something you don't plan to seek employment in. It a bad financial move in my opinion. If it was a degree or field you do plan to seek employment, then go for it.
  3. Nothing wrong with having credit card on standby long as you got a plan to pay it off. I'm in my third year of college and I had to take out a small loan for my apartment. Up to this point I have been debt free. Only credit card I have is I'm co-owned with my mom. I believed we are both obligated to make any payments on it, therefore, I believed it does affect both of our scores. I'll look at the contract again soon. My budget is beautiful. Catt, Dave Ramsey don't got nothing on me.
  4. I suppose, but it really depends...And the weight different is very minimal. Hardly noticeable.
  5. I went and look at that Felt, it seems like a good entry level bike. I'm not so sure about the tires, but I haven't been to NH, so I'm not sure how the terrains are in that area. A guy I ride with loves the Felt Virtue, but that all I know about Felt. lol.
  6. Not true. There are plenty of full-suspension out there that are lighter than hardtail bike. You don't need to buy a full-suspension for type of riding you have described, plus full-suspension are expensive. I would wait a year or so see how you like riding before taking that plunge. Everyone I've talked too has started out on a hardtail before buying a full-suspension. There are generally three types of mountain bikes: Cross-country bikes, Downhill, and All-Mountain. I used cross-country. The different is the geometry of the frame and such. I got a Haro Flightline Two right now, but I'm about to buy a Giant Trance x2: http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-US/bikes/model/trance.x2/3897/37061/ The best advice I can offer you is, set a budget try to spend as much as you can and test ride before you buy. Shift all the gears before you buy and see it feels for you.
  7. I think this is something you ought take into account in that order when buying a bike. Especially hardtail. My drivetrain after three years already blown to crap. hahah. Every once in awhile it shifts on its own. I ride with one of the mechanic at local bike shop and him and I spent 20 minutes fiddling with cables and stuff on my rear derailleur one day.. It still shifts on its own when it wants too.
  8. You can get a good Haro Flightline 3d or sport for $450-$520 price range. Both of those models come with disc brakes. I'll be first to tell you that disc brakes are a necessity. lol. I don't know a whole lot about hardtails for other brands. I got a Haro Flightline, but I'm currently in process of getting me a full-suspension Giant Trance. Where do you live? I ride on average 10 miles a day with at least once a month being a 20-40 mile epic ride on trails with lot of climbing, descending, and really technical. Plus every trail I ride except for 2 are singletrack. I've only rode once all week due to downpour of rain making the trails soggy. You should also buy you nice pair of shorts with chamois lining and padding...Eventually your @$$ be chaffed. I would love to buy a frame and do a custom build, but it way too expensive for a college student. I'm almost saved up for a good full-suspension let alone a custom build. lol
  9. Same here, I got this quote from a web site http://www.hookahkings.com/shisha-tobacco-information-page/info_17.html
  10. The best thing about the ****** is the smoke. It didn't stink up my clothes or anything.... ;D Here a ******: http://www.******-shisha.com/p-96-scarab-1-hose-******.html You can find tobacco for it on the same website.
  11. Anyone ever smoke ****** before? If so, how did you like it? I saw it on Anthony Bourdain and didn't think much about it. Then my friend came back from vacation where they had a ****** lounge and bought himself a set. In my opinion it better than cigarette, cigars, etc. It was interesting lol. It a good smoke, but it not something I'm take up. It was interesting experience. lol.
  12. The apartment complex itself is making nearly $1,476 a month in revenue per units. They have quite a bit of units too. At least 6 buildings with 16 units per building, it at least $141,696 a month in revenue. I think there's 7 buildings, but I know there at least 6, I'm too lazy look outside and count haha. I only plan to live here for a semester, I tried to get a townhouse, but apparently only two people moved out last year and I was 4th on the list. After this semester hopefully I'll get more private apartment elsewhere. P.S. these apartments are individual leased with 4 people per room. That why the figure $1,476 a month is pretty high. They charge a slight extra for electricity, but it usually not more than 8 dollars a person in the room.
  13. You can buy it and drink it in Canada, but U.S. Custom will likely have a fit with you if they see it and your age.... I bought a liquor in Jamaica just one 750ml bottle to keep it under the custom's radar, but I had someone over 21 to claimed it for me. I actually bought the liquor for my dad, not for myself. I had two, one I actually drunk in Jamaica, and the other I had someone claimed it for me to get it into the state which I gave to my dad as a gift.
  14. ESPN is doing a segment on top 50 most painful loss in history of college football. Some of them have highlights some of them don't. http://espn.go.com/college-football/features/houseofpain I think the Nebraska loss needs to be ranked higher..I cannot imagine how Suh felt after Texas got another a chance to kick.
  15. Nope. I love how the website says "less pay and more play." http://ridgestudenthousing.com/ ;D Ah well. I'm pretty sure after this semester I'm find someone else to take over my lease and I'm get a studio or two bedroom apartment with my bestfriend..I'll just write them checks until then.
  16. The big deal is I've never heard of "convenience fee." I was just wondering.. I'm just going keep writing them a check. ;D
  17. That is totally unheard of... I remember year when I was 17 I went to renew my car tag registration and I didn't bring cash with me so they charged me an extra 3 dollars for using a debit card. Being young and err inexperience at the time I asked the woman "why?" and she couldn't explain it too me. : She could have said card processing fee...
  18. My complex already has a bad reputation for parties. :-/ The new management said she was going do something about noisy level. I used to know Latin, So I'll write it in roman numeral or something. ;D
  19. I'm just going write them a check with a math equation on it and if they solve it they get my monthly rent. Hows that for "convenience?" ;D Of course it be really hard for me to work backward to figure out an equation. ;D ;D Even if you add your bank account their database (which I never planned to do) there a 12.95 charge..
  20. When I first signed my lease for my off-campus apartment, I was told they only accept checks and money order. I got an email yesterday from the lease office saying they now accept online payment. I decided to do that. I go to the website to set up my account and it gives you option of adding a bank account which will automatically take money out and into theirs at beginning of each month when rent is due or you can add a credit/debit card. I was going to add my debit card when I saw there is a 12.95 "convenience fee" added onto the rent.. What the %^$% does "convenience fee" means? Does it means since it most likely the rents are going to be paid on time and they will not reap any late fees, so they added a 12.95 to it? It going take a week at least for the check to clear banks and about a day and half at most for debit card to make the transaction...I'll let them keep my check for free and wait longer for it to clear banks.... Someone please enlighten me on "convenience fee".....
  21. I have the new Dinars as well. I was curious of the old ones with Saddam's face on it be worth something in a collectible somewhere. Ah well, maybe not in my lifetime.
  22. Redline's post about collectible stuff got me thinking. I have a paper currency and coin from Iraq with Saddan Hussein's picture on it. I wonder if sometimes in the future if this kind of thing would be of value? Anyone got an idea? I just kind of thought somewhere in future someone might be collecting a dictator's stuff...lol.
  23. I bought clothes recently, but here is my next purchase: http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-US/bikes/model/trance.x2/3897/37061/
  24. I wonder if the BP's lawyer/lobbyist is going to bring this up.
  25. "Time to nut up or shut up!"
