  1. I would like to experience a game at night in Tiger Stadium. With that being said, LSU will get beat in Bryant-Denny Stadium. And to the Penn State fans throwing the "whiteout" September 10th. All I got to say is, Georgia had a "blackout" in 2008 and Alabama power went and turned it back on! I guess we'll turn the lights off in College Station. Alabama's defense will be back next year and with quality cannons at the quarterback position, we'll be rolling high. Don't forget Trent Richardson is going to get the workload next year, can't stop him when he 100% and ready to run. Not to mention he out bench the entire offense of line.
  2. Short Treasury securities. I've been wondering when a credit rating agency would have the gut to give them a negative outlook. lol.
  3. College is not as fun as you think it will be. The best advice is to learn how to manage your time. One week you will be bored with nothing to do, the next week you'll have 3 tests and a paper due.. My college career has gone by fast and it has been quite a ride. Your schedule may suck the first two years when you're still in Gen. Ed. then for your major courses the schedule will get better. I have yet to have class on Friday since I've enter the major program. Next semester I'll have 5 classes on Tuesday-Thursday with no class on Friday nor Monday. Best of luck to you too.
  4. I typed that after spending three hours reading the entire Dodd-Frank Act for accounting class. My eyes were drained. lol. I don't proofread unless it's a serious report.
  5. I think I'm take the GMAT exam at the end of the summer and I'm wondering if anyone has taken it and got any recommendation on study/preparation guides? The bookstore has a book for 35 bucks and it comes with a CD and explanations of the math problems and things like that.
  6. Please Excused My Dear Aunt Sally. I got 288, too.
  7. My honor society is involved in a charity drive for Big Brothers Big Sisters organization. If anyone wants to donate, here a link to my personal page for donations: http://www.bowlforkidstoday.org/faf/donorReg/donorPledge.asp?ievent=463387&lis=0&kntae463387=AE1296E68BB94672B440D4B78F38C571
  8. I just finish approximately 20 mile backpacking trip this past weekend at the Jefferson National Forest in Southwest Virgina. The storm rocked us hard to the point where I couldn't sleep at all in the tent. We were near the summit of Mt. Rogers (2 miles to climb) and at that point we were literally in the storm cloud.. We decided go 4 miles back down the mountain fast as possible with a 40 pound pack to escape the storm. Every other hour storms were coming out of no where. Anyway, I miss out on some really good pictures since I had my phone safely stashed in my pack (I don't have a real camera), so hopefully you guys enjoy a few pictures of the Virgina high country. Now, I got plan a fishing trip.
  9. Budget issue.
  10. The only information I have is what I said above about the "if-converted" method. While this is a complex capital structure and it says "a capital structure is complex if it includes securities that could have dilutive effect on earnings per common share. A compelx capital requires dual presentation of EPS for both basic and diluted EPS." But the whole "if-converted" method assumption is screwing with my head. 4/5 problems I have to do is screwing with my head. They're nothing like homework problems. It's ridiculous. The tricky part of the calculation is, if the security cannot be converted until 2011, that means in the calculation I cannot add back the interest the company does not pay on the bond since it has or does not have potential to convert into common stocks during 2010. The bondholders cannot convert to common stock, so why would it have any dilutive effect? Even if it still has to be shown, then I may have to skip adding back interest and all that other tricky calculation because the company still going have to pay interest on bond in 2010 regardless if anyone converts in 2011.. These problems are messing with my head and I can't get a straight forward clarification from the book.
  11. I'm stuck on this question and if you could just guide me in right direction I will be appreciated. I'm keep it short and you shouldn't need more information, if you do just ask. If a company issued convertible bonds in 2008 that cannot be converted into common stocks until September of 2011, and the question asked me to compute the proper earnings per share for 2010. So my question is, do I have to show the potential diluted EPS in 2010 even though the potential to dilute EPS will not occur until 2011? Or do you only show the potential diluted effect in 2011 when the securities can be converted into common stock? My book isn't very clear it only states "The if-converted method assumes: 1) the conversion of the convertible securities at the beginning of the period (or at the time of issuance of the security, if issued during the period), and 2) the elimination of related interest net of tax." I can't tell if that means you must dilute EPS as long as the security is outstanding (regardless of when it can be converted) or you dilute EPS in the period in which securities are now available to be converted. In my problem the diluted security was not issued during 2010 (question asked proper EPS for 2010) nor is it available for conversion. Thanks to anyone that can clear this up for me.
  12. You ought be held liable for emotional inflicted damage...There were no warning sign! I need go change my pants before class.
  13. Turn your internet off. When I turn my 3g off there are no ads. If I'm playing games, then that means I don't have anything important to do.
  14. I'd like to try it one day. Let me know how they turn out.
  15. Not true..According to my source that came through my phone, if the deal goes through the new AT&T with T-Mobile along with Verizon, they combine will hold 79% of the wireless market. Sprint and everybody else will have the rest. Sprint is putting in a plan to block the merger on this basis and claiming it will "stunt innovation."
  16. My spring break was last week..the highlight of my break? a 14 mile trek up a 6,500 feet mountain that took 8 hours and 15 minutes round trip which I ran out of water and melted snow at the summit. (I only brought my stove to make tea..) The rest of the week was crap. Rain and cold rain ruined my biking trip and backpacking trip got postponed because I had job interview with a bank which didn't work out either. Oh well, at least I got to eat lunch on top of a snowy Mt. LeConte. Fishing wasn't feasible either with cold windy rain.. Screw that.
  17. Price of oil is globalized. Where it's imported or exported doesn't matter.
  18. Their life is boring, so they got say something negative about other stuff.
  19. Yeah, what he said. Music comes in all different types of genre.
  20. Sounds like Android Booster. when I'm at my apartment or not using 3g I just turn it off and some related apps. No point in letting 3g drain battery when I can use my laptop. Which uses more battery, wifi or 3g? When I'm on campus I could use the wifi instead of 3g. I was at the mall earlier picking up some stuff and my accounting partner sent me a text saying he emailed me an answer to our work and I downloaded the Excel file from my phone at the mall. I'm starting to make use for this thing. ;D
  21. Has anyone used Android Booster FREE or battery Saver by eDroid App?
  22. I was looking at some battery saver apps last night. I'm think I'm go with Seidio Innocase II for everyday use, and then used the rugged version when I take it on outdoor adventure.
  23. I wish I had a free ride. All I got was a tuition scholarship and my apartment is close to five grands a year not counting food. Oh well, it could be worse without the tuition scholarship.
  24. Are you telling me kids back then didn't act disrespectful?
