  1. Are you saying it's not possible for the two best teams in the country to reside in the same division, in the same conference? Not saying the BCS is perfect, but the rankings from the BCS are derived from human voters too...Computers don't just magically spit out an answer.
  2. See you January 9th.
  3. I think that the only phrase anyone needs to know.
  4. I'm going duck hunting after final exams are over on Lake Guntersville. Is there any regulations on hunting on Lake Guntersville I need to know about?
  5. My professor told us the decision to make coffee hotter was base on a marketing survey that the people like their coffee hot. He was using this case as an example when a management decision goes bad. He also told us the woman asked McDonald's nicely to just cover her medical bills and when they refused she took it public and sued them for a lot more.
  6. That doctrine didn't apply to this case: http://overlawyered.com/2006/09/the-burglar-and-the-skylight-another-debunking-that-isnt/ The laws are CRAZY!!!
  7. It was directly to his songs that was about racism in the south. Particularly in Alabama. Songs like "Alabama" and "Southern Man" was thought to degrade the south and Alabama. So Ronnie Van Zant wrote Sweet Home Alabama in respond to it. He also took a shot at George Wallace in the song too. At least that what I've been told growing up. Sweet Home Alabama suppose to sing praise about state of Alabama and also it calls out some controversy issues. Such as Neil Young's songs, George Wallace, and Watergate. Don't you just love music?
  8. A southern man don't need Neil Young around.
  9. These guys are awesome!
  10. I didn't add the extra 6. It used to be an urban myth that "6666" or "666" was in reference to the devil. I think it was from a movie? That the first part, the second part was the guy in the return trying to cheat out a government agency. I just thought it was kind of funny in a way how that information showed up. Devilish number and guy caught cheating a government agency.... Some people would say if you ever had 666 friends on facebook you need find a new friend fast. Or if you rang up an item total at a store that was like 6.66 then it bad luck. Some would say it has to do with evil. Maybe I'm twisted in my own head?
  11. P.S. I hope this isn't too political/religious, but you gotta admit, this is funniest thing ever! Foo Fighters is a good band too.
  12. Old country such as: Brooks and Dunn, Hank William Jr, Alabama. Rest I bounce around between classic rock, soft rock, alternative, 90s rock, etc. I'm enjoying folk music a lot these days too. here a few bands worth mentioning: The Beatles, John Lennon's solo work, My Morning Jacket, The Avett Brothers, Red Hot Chili Pepper, John Frusciante's solo work, Marshall Tucker Band. I do like lot of songs from random artists without liking all of their work or albums, but that too many to list. The Avett Brothers and My Morning Jacket are my current favorite. P.S. No southern man needs Neil Young around.
  13. My mock tax return project, the guy social security has 6666 in it and he owns a dentistry which he was fined for overbilling the state for work perform on welfare patient. What a sick sense of humor...
  14. Well, I guess that will teach the players to stage another lockout.
  15. The fine for facemask is kind of ridiculous. I bet the fine wouldn't have taken place if the player hadn't got up and ran back at him and hit Stafford... I don't follow the NFL, but it seems lately there a lot of fines going on.(I've been seeing headlines.) I heard one of the Bears' player got a fine for wearing orange shoes? And Rex Ryan got a fine for cursing at a fan? Really, NFL? Really?
  16. Please tell me the player in this video got fined or suspended in addition to the ejection...That is dumbest thing I have ever seen...
  17. There a lighter side to Saban: And plenty of videos of him smiling and talking to players. Not saying he isn't an all around fun guy, but he not 100% uptight all business..Who cares how he conduct his business as long as he keeping the program clean...He reeling in top players year in and year out. So obviously they'll live and die by him.
  18. So when you live in the bayou it's a tradition to burn some type of materials that look like the person that left? Especially when "glad"? You guys have a sick sense of culture down there..
  19. Green tea helps with muscle soreness. Mountain biking will definitely help you, or road cycling if you got some good hills in your area. I would join you, but I'm done. I rode bikes in the mountains last night for about 15 miles in 30 degrees weather. My leg is done. Surgery is set for December 22nd.
  20. Someone else might remember, but my memory wants to say AIG got a loan and in exchange for the loan they gave stock warrants to the government which they exercised into common shares. Where hostility comes into play is beyond me. It not like the government up and took the shares away from shareholders.. I have a strong gut feeling that he is just being a crybaby and will lose the case. Be interesting to see how it plays out. Of course the suit might play out so long that I lose interest in following the action. P.S. If you look at their financial statements during that time, it's ugly...
  21. Happened to me at Kmart. I wrote my schedule down one night and then I didn't have to work for the next 3 days. I showed up on the 4th date "late". Been there, done that. The 70 years old grumpy manager was there at time I showed up "late" and he said, "why are you late?" I said, "why didn't anyone notified me of schedule change?" He just mumbled and walked away. Situations like this, is why I think I make a better manager. Communications.
  22. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/ex-aig-ceos-company-suing-203934314.html We should have just let them failed and be economically worse off. What a selfish *****. First he racks up a huge amount of obligations that his company couldn't meet, then the government buys shares from the shareholders whose claims would have been worth a lot less should they have gone under, then the moron thinks he entitled to damage because the bailout is unconstitutional. Ah, hell, what a great country we live in.
  23. This sounds like why I have a problem with adding GPA on the resume. They say GPAs aren't required on resume, but employers screen candidate base on GPA. I'm fairly certain that GPAs are protected under federal privacy law, so if I don't give it out why am I being punished? Maybe it was a coincidence that I didn't give my GPA the first time and got no interview where the second time I did and got an interview.... I just like to know my score with numerical, but don't wish to show it to people outside of me and the school. The numerical scores help me evaluate myself and usually provide some motivation to do better, etc. Granted in some class I just want to pass and others, well, I want to do well in and justified that with myself by seeing the percentages I get right. Just my two cents.
  24. Curiously killed the cat..I guess they don't want me to live... :D Well, I don't have a financial calculator, I got by and made an A in my finance class using a regular TI calculator. There was a lot of present value, future value, bond price, etc kind of problems. And I wanted to see if I was right. There was also a couple capital budgeting problems that I couldn't do with my calculator since I don't have a built in program to plug in the numbers and I manage to get an answer that was one of the choice once and another time if it's rounded up to whole number I had it..So I'm just curious..I gotta watch out for Death.
  25. I hope so. Ha.
