  1. The pic I posted is from Amazon and is actually the wrong one. The one above takes regular batteries. The one I have is rechargeable. Here is the link to it on amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Princeton-Tec-Apex-Rechargeable-Headlamp/dp/B01CHCGAB6/ref=sr_1_4?crid=R21K1EFC9Y4A&keywords=princeton+tec+rechargeable+headlamp&qid=1549744718&s=sporting-goods&sprefix=princeton+headlamp+rechargeable%2Csporting%2C173&sr=1-4
  2. I don't have to be a Patriots fan to appreciate this.......
  3. I found a few small sheets of greenish yellow mylar a craft store that bend to cover the light on mine and it seems to keep most of the bugs away. Since the light bends where it attaches I can either use painters tape or velcro to secure it. It may look goofy but it works. Also, I have a red lens for my light but it doesn't help much with bugs.
  4. Anything that I can fish slow... Crankbaits Suspending Jerkbaits Jigs Senkos
  5. A better reel may reduce line twists but good quality line and proper maintenance will go much much further.
  6. I have tried Tatsu, Invizx, and FC Sniper in 6lb and out of the three I like the Invizx the best for finesse fishing. Tatsu was great but it just didn't work as well on spinning gear. FC Sniper was just too hard and I was constantly fighting it. If this was 12lb on casting gear, I would probably have a different opinion.
  7. I have this guy and it has been great so far. One of the best investments I have ever made. It is a little heavy but it has worked out well for just about every condition I can through at it. It puts out a lot of light.
  8. Wow. I think I will keep my online shopping on the sites I am familiar with. No pun intended but this website seems a bit fishy....
  9. One my fishing buddies has both and prefers and swears by the E6X. With that said, I would get the St. Croix Avid before the E6X.
  10. Maybe a little more than your budget but the Revo STX can be had on Amazon for $150 or they have the SX that is under your budget.
  11. For smallmouth my favorite rod is a Fenwick 7'6 ML Elite Tech Walleye. It is no where near as sensitive as the NRX you have but it is long, easy to pitch light weight baits, and hook sets are surprisingly easy with this rod because of the fast tip. I went through a 6 different rods (St. Croix, G. Loomis, Shimano, and Daiwa) until I found this rod just for smallmouth even though it is for walleye.
  12. I like the 803c. I have it in the GLX. It's a great rod. It is a little stiff but it is great for jigs and weightless senkos. I don't really think it would work well with jerkbaits. The tip just doesn't have that much give to work a bait. If I was going with a Loomis rod for jerkbaits, I like the 843c and 783c. Both are great rods that can be used for anything. Just a personal opinion, for jerkbaits like the Vision 110 you don't need that sensitive of a rod. The St Croix Avid 7' M Fast has worked great but really in the end my favorite is the G Loomis 783C (light, short length, soft tip, and easy hook sets).
  13. 4-5 days of 50 degree weather and then the crappie are biting.
  14. I like use flat sided baits in spring and fall and the lipless cranks in warmer weather.
  15. I like using the Anaconda from Strike King or a the Ol' Monster from Zoom and a 1/2oz - 1oz punching weight. I also use 65lb braid as well.
  16. If you have the coin, the Stella is amazing. If it were my choice though, I would go with the Sustain. I had one years ago and sold it. I wish I still had it. Amazing reel.
  17. Here you go. It refers to how the rod bends under load. If you use the search engine above, you can find tons of great info on this site.
  18. Shimano drag grease and shimano oil. I also have a kit from Ardent. I have grown to like the Reel Butter for the main gear. I also try to use the oil that comes with the reel (Daiwa and Abu Garcia). I am not a fan of Quantum's Hot Sauce.
  19. Lipless Crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and small tight wobble cranks
  20. Yap. I saw this on Facebook and she said it was her house. That was not the case. She changed it to a shared post from the original person. Funny thing, I saw picture where somebody has a pillow that matches his shirt as well. I wouldn't say it was the worst half time show but it was not anything memorable.
  21. Any news if Cabelas is having a similar sale?
  22. Awesome song as always 9^ Here is one of my favorites. You never hear it on the radio, even the oldies stations. 84' was a great year for music.
  23. I used it years ago and if it is the same as it used to be.... It handled like Trilene XL but looked like Stren. It was not bad line for the money but there are other choices.
  24. I use to Fluoroclear as well but I too had issues. I thought it broke one test below its measured line rating. If I wanted 10lb, I bought 12lb instead. For me, it seemed to last as long as regular mono in the same price range. CX I like but not for casting gear. It worked better for me on spinning gear. I do like CXX for casting gear though and continue to use. It is hard line to break, the opposite of Fluoroclear. I have since found other lines I like better and moved on but for the money it's not bad line.
  25. Of all the things that happened or didn't happen during the Super Bowl, this was best thing I saw all night. This happened at friends house..... Made me laugh...
