  1. Thanks everyone! If any of you are ever around my area let me know and we can get out on the water!
  2. First day out this year and caught some good ones! Here were my best two... P.S. Smallies grow big in Alabama too
  3. Tackle Trap. Brian said they couldn't advertise it but can pre-order as many as anyone wants.
  4. Just pre-ordered a Curado 70HG and Curado 70XG! Supposed to ship out the week of the Classic!
  5. I gotcha, I was just curious.
  6. Interested in why you feel this way. Buy new you lose money if you end up having to sell. Buy one that's one or two years old loaded the way you like it at a good deal you come out even or ahead. My first boat I came out ahead and the boat I have now I have had for 7 months and I could sell it today for more than I paid for it. If I would have bought this boat new and sold it for the price I bought it for when it was only a year old I would have lost at least $10K.
  7. The Met is $319 thru Japan Tackle...It's in the $260's from Japan Lure Shop. I have never ordered from Japan Tackle but have from JLS and I believe I ordered on a Friday and received on the following Tuesday.
  8. New additions: Two Chronarch 100D7! Best Shimano reel ever made IMO!
  9. If you fish big and rough water then it's not gonna be a very good ride because of how short it is. If you are fishing small water then it would be a good boat. Front deck on that boat is very wide as well.
  10. I would highly recommend the Stormr Fusion suit. It's not the one that is gray and mostly neoprene, it is the black suit. I believe it retails between $500-$600. I have not gotten wet in it and it is extremely warm in the winter and it's not too hot in the summer. I got mine from Bass Mafia Tackle for much less than that. If you are interested in it you should contact them for a price! And no, I am in no way affiliated with them, this is the only thing I have bought from them.
  11. I've used them some on a drop shot but a roboworm outcatches them from my experience.
  12. Well I was going to pick up a DC and DC7. DC for chatterbaits and small paddle tails and the DC7 for jigs. I should have all my bases covered lol
  13. I pretty much had it narrowed down between a Scorpion DC7 and an Excense DC. Scorpion DC7 is $205 shipped and Excense DC is $240 shipped from Digitaka. If the Excense is worth the extra money then I would gladly shell out for it. If anyone has any experience skipping with the Excense DC then feel free to comment. Thanks for the info in the Scorpion, it is likely what I will go with. I have read on a few places that it is a great skipping reel!
  14. Looking for the best reel to skip 3/8-1/2 oz jigs. I'm a Shimano guy so that is the brand I would prefer but if there is another reel that is so much better then I would consider it. Looking around the $200 range. Thanks!
  15. I use 25 lb. P-Line CXX for all of my Alabama Rigs and have never had a problem. I haven't tried flour but I used to use braid and I highly prefer the P-Line over braid.
  16. Y'all are looking in all the wrong places if used 200E7's are going for $175-200. They normally sell around $135 on another forum. With that being said, I do not feel either is better than the other. I like them both the same and think they are both great reels.
  17. I think the issue is that you put a Daiwa reel on a Shimano rod...easiest diagnosis ever.
  18. I was being facetious...
  19. Anyone used the Stradic FK 2000HG? Thinking about picking one up from Digitaka. I have a 2500 Ci4+ and was wondering how it compares in performance? Also, what is the difference in spool size between the FK 2000HG and the Ci4+ 2500? Thanks for all the help!
  20. Do you feel any difference between the new Scorpion and Curado I? I don't need a reel right now but I was thinking about picking one up next time I need one. I know there is not much difference in the two just wondering if the Scorpion was maybe smoother or something to that extent?
  21. The information that I gather from most Shimano reel threads is that people who use Shimano reels do not catch near as many fish as people who use other brands. I see someone say something to the effect of the text in bold in almost every Shimano reel thread. I guess I should switch brands????
  22. All I have in my boat is Shimano. I had a handful of Daiwa Tatulas about a year ago and they are great reels as well. But like I said, now all I have in my boat is Shimano. I can't get away from them and anytime I buy something else, whether I like it or not, I end up selling it and buying another Shimano. But seriously, I think if you decided on a Tatula you would be very happy with the performance, it would just come down to whether you can handle the fact that you are using something other than a Shimano.
  23. I have the Stormr Fusion suit and I love it. It has neoprene in places where your body bends such as knees and elbows to help with movement while wearing the suit. Zippers feel a little cheap but I have not had a problem with them yet so durability seems good. It does get a little bit warm when it is hot outside but not too bad like the BPS suit. Suit is very light, nice and easy on the body while wearing all day. I also got it for an awesome price from Bass Mafia Tackle. I highly recommend this suit to anyone looking for new rain gear.
  24. 3 new Rainshadow builds! 1) 7'3" Heavy on an RX7 blank 2) 7'2" MH on Revelation blank (blue thread) 3) 7'2" Medium on Revelation blank (red thread) Also had two Black Friday tackle warehouse orders. Already rummaged thru one but I'll post a pic of the other in a little bit.
