I use the bananaboat brand of sunscreen that is fragrance free but I doubt that fish wouldn't be able to dectect a good amount of it. But I don't think handling your lures after using sunscreen and washing your hands would effect catching bass.
Someone recently made a post about sunscreen for fisherman and I would like to know who thinks sunscreen even effects fishing for bass. Should we worry about it?
I mean maybe the grease I fry my chicken in spooks em? Maybe my shampoo? Maybe the Pepsi I drink? Maybe the sugar from my donut?
What I'm trying to say is it seems like a lot of the things we use bass can detect but the real question is would it cause them to not hit your lure.
I'm sure bass are terrified of a grown alligator gar lol but in the lake I fish I don't think a big bass would be worried about a longnose gar, but a small bass could get devoured. That being said I have caught bass of all size with what looks to be healed bite marks
Try using a bait with no salt and monofilament for your leader.
A bite will feel like a pencil tapping on the end of your line, try to stay alert when using a Carolina rig because its easy to miss a strike.
How can you guys possibly wear that much clothing on a hot day in a boat... I feel like I'm roasting at 11AM in shorts and a thin T-Shirt here is south Georiga... Give me some sunscreen and I'll be fine.
Today I put a little to much oomf into my cast and backlashed to a hard stop and my 20# power pro super 8 slick snapped in two. Has this happened to anybody else or was this just a fluke?
Today my 2 week old KVD 1.5 cracked in half right down the side after I landed a fish I noticed it. has this happened to anyone else? Im gonna buy another because they are so good but was just wondering if this happens a lot.
I don't believe it was a "bad" hook set but it definitely wasn't perfect and I usually change the hooks on my bomber square A's to a size bigger but didn't do it on this one I was using...
The thing is, you can do every do everything perfect and lose a big one then feel like you did everything wrong...
