  1. After a week of owning it, I would recommend this thing to anyone. It's amazing; smooth, as quiet as you could expect, fast and just works great. I'm very happy with it.
  2. No kidding?!?! I would have loved to see one of those shows! I saw them on the Turbo tour around '88 and then, recently, on their Epitaph tour at the Tsongas Center in Mass. Probably my favorite band.
  3. It doesn't really matter, does it? It's only used as leader material anyway....
  4. Can you leave for a while, then check back in so I can properly say "Welcome back Jack!!"? Just kiddin, welcome to the forum. Hey, if that video causes some flack, we'll cut ya some slack, 'cause I got yer back.
  5. So I'm out running errands this morning, listening to and thought to myself, "I could listen to this one cd for the rest of my life!" So, if you had to choose one cd to listen to from now on, what is it?
  6. I can't stop staring at your avi! I can't get over how beautiful that pig is. My God that is a huge, gorgeous specimen. That stupid song was stuck in my head that whole day! My buddy showed it to me on his phone on the way to the lake; we had a giggle, then I just about had to admit myself...
  7. Went out today for possibly my last day on the water for the year. I'll see how it goes and try to get out once more but if it ends today, we ended the year on a good note. Water was clearing and 45 degrees; air started at 38 and hit close to 50; cloudy most of the day. We figured we would be deep most of the time, and on points and boy we were right. I ended up with 29 and my buddy with around 20; almost all of them were in 25-35 ft and some coming as deep as 50 ft. ( a few had to be fizzed). We had a few in 5-8 ft when we tried those areas but they just were not there for us. So, we stayed deep, watched the finders and as the title says, was all about the blade off points. The silver buddy to be exact. And not a fish to be had on flats. Some of these fall days we just crush them on a red craw trap up on flats but, again, not there today. Here's a few from today. Pic 1 and 2 are the same fish and 2 more in pic 3. : Those 3 are a few of the better ones with a lot of 1.5's and 2's in the mix. And for your time
  8. No sir. Just a cute vid my wife showed me. My boys are 14 and 17 now.
  9. Nice fish man! Good vid to watch.
  10. Welcome!
  11. Good morning!
  12. ^^^Baby? I was talking about the dog...
  13. Well, after some more reading, I think I'm going with the 790CC from Braun. http://www.braun.com/us/male-grooming/series-shavers/series-7.html I like the one I have, this one just has an updated cutter system and a couple more features. Reviews are through the roof on it. Thanks guys.
  14. So I have a Braun Activator thats about 8 yrs old and pretty worn out. I've replaced the cutter and foil many times but it just doesn't work like it used to. What brands are you guys using these days? Any new technology out? Foil or rotary?
  15. Suspended fish are, absolutely, the toughest fish to catch. They aren't relating to forage or cover; just kinda hanging out. That is the situation you hear about when an angler "waits for them to move up and feed". You basically wait for whatever turns them on, and move up on a point or flat, and start feeding. As far as baits, possibly a suspending jerkbait may stay in their face and trigger a strike.
  16. Well, you know what they say... "Man with hole in pocket feel cocky all day"
  17. Go deep, be patient, have the spinning rod ready with a shakey head/worm
  18. I would think deeper as well. I have found that deep fish are less affected by weather/fronts/pressure than shallow fish are.
  19. X2....I love the "quiet" time away from work/civilization etc...but I also like the anticipation of knowing I'm going out this Sunday, rigging my rods with the baits I think I'll need, and then having to figure out the bite. The best feeling is leaving the lake knowing you figured out how to make them bite that day. Makes my hair stand on end just thinking about it...
  20. I got Nov/Dec issue yesterday. I plan on studying the "jigs" article and having my wife test me on it....
  21. That's awesome man! Congrats!
  22. Did you guys weigh those 2 fish? My God they're both giants!
