  1. Well done Sir!
  2. Get outta town! I have some killer memories from trips in a boat like that; and not all of them involve fishing....
  3. You gotta be just keeping those dead pie plates in your live well and takin pics every now and then!! How do you catch bohemoths like those!
  4. Nice! Glad to hear it.
  5. Thats a good fish man. Congrats!
  6. If you are comfortable and know how to test for power with a test light, you can do it yourself. If not, leave it to a pro. I'd start by testing for power at the switch. If there is power there, go to the next spot downstream; if no power, back up to the next spot upstream. Did you check fuses? Sounds like no power to the switch if no light comes on. If you had a light, then I would go with the pump.
  7. Never been there but all the same....this^^^
  8. Tubes and some finesse worms on a drop shot should work well.
  9. We finally have open water here in Maine. My home lake opened on the 20th. I made it out last Sunday, 26th with a buddy and fished from about 6:30 to 12:30, boating 51 together. Most on a jerkbait with a few on a trap. Not much for size but the action was good and I finally had a year where I caught one on my first cast of the year. Biggest was one I got about 4 and change I would guess. Water was 44 in the cove and 41 main lake. This was big fish for the day. This one was on a custom airbrushed, 1 of 1, bait I had a friend do for me. I was pretty excited when I got one on my first cast with it. And this is some video I shot with my son's GoPro. This was my first time using it and making a vid so please excuse the crudeness of it.... All in all a beautiful day.
  10. ^^^Yup, the actual drain is on the very bottom and I take out one of the 2 top plugs to vent while draining. When I fill, I put the lower plug back in, remove both upper plugs, fill into the higher of the 2 upper plugs until oil comes out the lower of the 2 upper plugs; then put back both upper plugs. While we are at it, don't forget to remove the prop and check for and remove fishing line that may have gotten wrapped around the prop shaft. This can tear up a seal pretty quick.
  11. I'm usually all over the place to start until I see a pattern form. Then I narrow it down. If that bite stops, I'll switch things up after about 15 minutes. Every day is a puzzle.
  12. ^^^Wow, that's an odd one. I'd PM a Mod and ask them about it. Just kidding; one will chime in here soon and check it out.
  13. So when you click on your user name to the left of the "search" window, the green list of options does not have "personal messenger" or "my gallery" in it?
  14. ^^^Correct. If it's a 2 stroke, you just keep the oil tank filled with the correct marine 2 stroke oil and it mixes itself. The level will gradually go down the more you run it so you just top it off again and that's how the cycle works. No need to drain any of that.
  15. Yep, definitely check out the "videos" tab on the top of the page. And welcome!
  16. I had this problem years ago and if I remember, there is a little pintle in there with a gear on the end which mates up with another gear so it spins when the motor turns, pointing in the direction you are headed. That pintle has broken off. Oh geeze, I just looked and mines a Motorguide; disregard everything I just said. There should still be some sort of plastic gear in there mating to another gear. Jump on in there and see what's up! What model is it?
  17. So glad to hear it Tom! You're going to be a new man; but no hard hooksets for a while! Take care
  18. We'll be thinking about you bud. I had shoulder surgery last year and so happy I did. I fish pain free now. Hope yours goes just as well. Keep us posted when you can.
  19. She would be better off learning to set a hook. That way you could put on a Senko and she would catch fish. She gets bit, point the rod at the bait, reel in some slack and jerk back; pretty easy. Explain to her why she is doing these steps though. It helps the whole process.
  20. http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-E-Z-Lure-Retriever/product/44428/?cmCat=CROSSSELL_THUMBNAIL I have t^h^i^s one and it's paid for itself umpteen times. I'll never be without one in my boat.
  21. Are you guys for real? Man, I though we had a long winter! Ice on my home lake went out on the 20th. I'm going this Sunday!! I feel for you guys.
  22. ^^^ Those are some slab smallies! All on the Ned? On the TRD or another plastic? On another note, how are you liking your new boat?
  23. Didn't get up to free ship. Only $32
