  1. I'm happy cause the conquest is finally here. I'm not happy cause it was hit by custom and stuck there for two weeks. I'm still happy cause when I picked it up today they didn't charge me anything even I saw the red custom tape on the box. Still waiting for the livre handle nut. Carbon handle just doesn't look right on conquest.
  2. LIN10 is legendary
  3. Wow the reel looks sharp, first time notice they have red knob cap. As the yen keep dropping it's definitely worth the extra over the curado. Glad you received it safe cause I don't know what's going on with the custom my recent two packages from Japan has sit in Chicago custom for more than a week.
  4. It's on the first page of their website, however some sales item just has one in stock so first come first serve.
  5. Very JDM way to hook the bait! Are you targeting smallie or walleye?
  6. That's a deal! Most of the used one I saw has the Daiwa logo wear off on the side plate and yours look pretty good. I don't know how stable the paint is but definitely those one has been used a lot.
  7. For that condition I would say 230-250 include shipping is fine.
  8. Which finesse spool do you have? Don't know about the alphas finesse 105 spool but megabass finesse spool for alphas is way much better than pixy. I've one paired with alphas F and if wanted I can spool the stock spool with 12 lb mono or 40-50 lb braid which is almost covering everything.
  9. What I did is use two reels. First spool the line I want after I feel the line is good enough I fill the spool with the backing line. Then just spool it back to another reel. The only problem is you need two reels with close line capacity.
  10. I just started using rage shad a couple weeks ago and experienced lots of line twist. I'm using it on a baitcast 12 lb CXX line and riged it tail down with offset EWG hook. The bait do has lots of action but it seems keep spinning on top of the water when I retrieve it back. Does any of you guys have the same problem or I'm doing anything wrong? Thanks.
  11. It's hard to tell I like which one better. Definitely ito is a more refined reel than alphas with clicking drag and spool tension. But the alphas palms better in hand. Actually I feel the ito sits pretty high on the reel seat but it doesn't bothering me that much.
  12. Wow, very nice collections. You also got a problem after selling your 51. You have one rod without reel.
  13. Wow the only thing I can say is there's couple hundred in shipping alone. The time I saw the KTF for sale I cant see the pic so I didnt know it come with the carbon handle and drag star so that's pretty good price. I would like to hear you opinion about the difference between KTF tuned reel and the one with KTF spool. Since the KTF tuned one are difficult to source and I've missed two Aldebaran and two px68 in the past few months. I may pick up a Aldebaran MG7 and order the spool and bearing from the KTF. I'm fine with the 7.1 gear and not willing to pay $80 for the 7.9 gear. Of course the most important thing is the KTF sticker only costs a few bucks.
  14. I would never let the 103 HL go. (I said the same thing to the 51s but this time I'll keep my word.) Also if I remember right you got a KTF Aldebaran. How do you like it?
  15. Finally got a presso and have to let the pixy and ito go.
  16. Good color match with the plum!
  17. Wow, I'll be afraid to throw a megabass on 8 lb line, especially for a lipless.
  18. Easily Daiwa TD Z with so many choices of spools.
  19. The avail handle and wood knob would look sick on conquest. I would definitely do that if I didn't sold my conquests.
  20. Added a few members to my Daiwa family. Second is my real shelf queen because I've no idea why I bought it and don't think it catches fish but it looks so cool...
  21. Also SS SV could be a good choice too.
  22. Just get a Aldebaran MG if you don't mind it's 5.8 gear. Metanium is much bigger than 50 size shimano.
  23. I used to be a shimano guy but finally decided to go all Daiwa route. Got a few Daiwa reels recently and also tried some aftermarket spools. There is a ZPI RC-002 spool on TD Z which remind me the DC system on shimano reel. Basically set the brake to 4 and free the spool tension knob you can cast without thumbing. The nice thing over the shimnao DC is you can totally turn the brake off and also be able to handle much lighter baits. The alphas has a megabass zonda BFS spool on one alphas but didn't have chance to try it yet.
