  1. It's been amazing...didn't know this many people knew how to cast!!! But it is good people are getting out . Had a tourney Saturday and I believe 50 other clubs did too. We fished the Morristown and with all the clubs and party boaters...jet ski's etc.....OMG. Still not gunna complain.....just smile...glad to get out and feel the tugs.
  2. Yes it will Good Luck
  3. My son and myself got to fish the second Tuesday niter night...they go from five to nine and I just love em. Lots of talk among friends ...some friendly BS and a evening of camaraderie. And hopefully some luck. We got lucky.....very lucky. Have trusted the little Vexus on it's gas mileage and thought we could squeeze one for small trip...NOT. On the way to way in weigh in ran out of gas....sadness. So...trolling motor down and heading full speed realized this ain't gunna work. But ... running on full power on the electric we put two keeps in the boat...one almost four pounds. This was interesting as son had never netted a fish going quit so quickly down the bank. Having about fifteen minutes left we realized we weren't going to make it so flagged down a father/son team and they took our fish in as they had nothing to speak of and weights have been good. So awesome sportsmanship and friend ship. Long story short we got the "W" for a good start to the year... In the few short years we have fished this tourney and in Tennessee we have been blessed. Love this state and the people.... Tight Lines all...hope didn't make to many type O's. Can tell vision getting compromised....tree's grabbing more lures!!!
  4. Yup...always carry "Mountain Money in the boat" universal currency...like above said ... ya never know when it will be needed. Off to the lake this morn...whooohoooo Large bologna for both of us with fresh oatmeal/frosting cookies. Sardines...and a stop by probably Bojangles. And hopefully some tugs on the line....Watts...here we come.....Praise God...another day on the water....
  5. After chasing these critters for too many years to count....I just enjoy using all techniques seasonally. A Carolina rig could be the last thing you see on my rod though...this may change due to my no treble rule now...now sure. Tight lines
  6. Wow.....just Wow
  7. Interesting the talk about not touching food after touching fish or stuff.....I'm much more cautious off the water than on.
  8. Congrats....like my 1880 too.
  9. Welcome back...fishing musta been good
  10. Do like Charlie and have used his stuff for years
  11. Been blessed to have caught and chased almost everything around these states from salt to fresh. Twelve foot sturgeon to blue gill.....LOVE em all at their perspective times....even hundreds of salmon and steelhead....Bass is my favorite though...love working on the tackle...planing for a tourney (not so much now) so many new toys... Thank God for choices
  12. LOTS of things to call BS this year......
  13. Fishing is so amazing right now...son and I had a great evening...lots of fish...just not the biggies you hope for in a tourney. Time with son the best.... Tight Lines
  14. No ring...no earring...no tat...no piercing...yup...I'm boring.
  15. Lifting
  16. We got a bee around here called a Velvet ant....walks like it's on steroids and I guess packs quit a punch....kinda cool. TnRiver may know more about em.
  17. Your fine.....remember living out west and fishing northern California....anglers of less ....hmmm...would fish the bent rod pattern a lot. If ya saw someone with binoculars.....oh poop. Learned to be pretty tight lipped. Now pushing seventy and my oh my how things are changing....Now also be careful that you don't offend someone by keeping secrets.... Sorry....I ramble
  18. Ya know...this back seat stuff ain't all bad...especially when the boater is curtious and doesn't hug the bank. As mentioned we went to Chickamaga yesterday again....wasn't too crowded at all. My biggest was pushing six and friend a a solid fiver. All told maybe twenty fish or more of all sizes. Was fun. In looking back as we drove home we could of done much better but we fished water "we" wanted to catch fish in....not where fish were. But all wonderful....beautiful day...good fishing...good lunch...good friend....am truly blessed to be able to get out. Tonight is a Tuesday niter with my son...not sure how many the good Lord is gonna give me but....dang....got up this morning so this means I guess I got another day....whoooohoooooo Tight Lines all
  19. Off to Chic this morning....guess the lake was pounded this weekend...but then it's always pounded!! Will fish the TRD and the four inch senko....see if any are left that want to bite. Supposed to be a purty day. Tight Lines all
  20. Gosh....hope this all has a good ending...
