How many times have you been fishing and lifted a dink over the side and just kind of looking up and said thank you. Been going through that a lot the last few weeks and realized even when things have been kind of "crummy" I am ever ever so thankful for friends and acquaintances on this website. Have helped to get the ol mind off other &%$! at times. Family and friends are amazing and so are little fish....

So...sorry for your lose and others in like fields....rush...rush world with so many in a hurry to get "No Where" important.

Used to love traveling and fishing out west. Back when you could fish the Invitationals and some others. Did it for about four years. Used campgrounds for sleeping at and it was awesome. But times change...glad for the experience and adventure.

Careful now....fishing tackle may get warning labels... Do not use this product outside the home.... Could cause falling...tripping...eye's wandering....on and on. Helmet...knee pads...elbow pads...may be required. This activity should not be done when cloudy or wet..absolutely not in the cold and wet.

So many places....so little time

Not being the one to sit around and think to much my wife took me golfing yesterday. Along with a couple tylonal and moving a click or two slower it wasn't bad. Down side is I still can't see something coming from the right and even when I hold my head down it's a mystery to see the ball get hit....and oh....if I hit it over a couple hundred yards I hope my wife is watching. Foot positioning has really really changed too. But it was awesome...I shoot almost as bad with this handicap...so I guess the goals will be just not to loose to many balls. Going fishing I believe the next couple days for short term....will be awesome too....If I don't catch much I can blame the guy in front for front ending me and giving me no water....right. But....dang....Praise the Lord for the friends taking me and my wife for being the best personnel Uber driver in the world. Tight Lines all

Thanks....been kind of a roller coaster but don't believe it's crashing yet.....doing some research into anti oxidants and such for their healing properties and there help getting through stuff properties if need be....been some interesting reads....I believe in the ol meds....but God gave us a lot of tools down here to use I believe...If I can use the natural route for some healing power....I'm in.

Well....little update. Docs went in to get their sample. Guess things went as good as it could. I have a row of metal stitches across the back of head..no real pain...so not taking anything but tylonal once in awhile. Even played a little golf with wife Friday....can't see ball very good...but then now I have an excuse to hit it poorly. One's attitude is a biggie.....very very easy to think to much....especially when you can't do this....can't do that...no....better not do that....oh well. Believe in two weeks or a little less they make plans to do other things...but....not sure as we still don't know what it is. Who know's....still waiting for a miracle...but then every day is kind of one. People have mentioned songs they really like on here....well....I have several and this one by "MERCY ME" "EVEN IF" has given me a reality check...pretty good. Any way...time for that second cup and look forward to grandsons football game.... Tight Lines

Have been blessed to go a lot of places in this world...took an Eagle Claw spinning pack rod with me almost everywhere and caught halibut in 150 ft of water or better to bluegill and bass down south and salmon up north. To say this rod took a beating was an understatement. I used a Mitchell 300 with spare spools of all sizes of line. A Kastmaster in various sizes, white or yellow lead head jigs, couple small swimbaits......all fits in a small plastic box. Just remember to rinse and dry .... everything after exposure... saltwater has no mercy. Enjoy your trip Oh...small fanny pac holds pliers ...etc.

Well.....first thank you all for your prayers and well wishes. Been a weird and as some would say a little sand in the eye's at times. (When I think too much) I will tell ya this &*$#@ has put a crimp in my fishing...life. Went to the eye doc Monday morning ....he sent me to a specialist....they sent me to ER! I spent four days in the hospital having tests run and the worst is still getting an IV......HATE THAT. Any way come to find out I have something...yup something...they won't commit... about the size of a apricot seed on the back of my brain..(Told wife....see....I have a brain) anyway..... So this coming Tuesday I go in for a biopsy to find out what this thing is....they do know that it's growing and something needs done....they just want to do it right. (GLAD) Hospital staff has been awesome....I got to wear my cloths the whole time....sweet. Depending on stuff....friend said he would take me fishing this week....I'm not allowed to drive now....my right side of my head will all of a sudden go...OH.....nothing on your right side....WHAM....I walk into #@%. As the saying goes....Danger Will Robinson....Danger. Again ....thank you all. P.S. On a lighter note they want to lower my BP a bit....I say easy....get me outa here ....cute nurses and needles don't help!!!

Well....I'm typing this with basically one eye....my right side of my face has decided not to function normally!! Started big time yesterday so off to Doc today to see what's up. Nothing can be taken for granted....nothing. SO....someone catch a fish for me....I may be sidelined for a bit....#@!$% Thanks and Tightlines

Gosh...memories. Used to be what they call a purest....No more...not....don't want to go back. Have a couple surgeries on wrist due to to much fly fishing. Really enjoyed while I did it...Fished for everything that swam...think the biggest was a 40 pound plus Chinook out of a coastal river in Oregon. Loved fishing in the ocean for bass too...many memories. Was fun matching the hatch they say...now...all the fly stuff is gone...but not the memories. Used to tie a lot of Dave Whitlock patterns.....good stuff Enjoy

OMG....I too am sooo confused...to the point I've almost started just reading books when I get home. And just check out Bassresource or other sites when I want contact with the fishing world. (guess I'm getting old)
