  1. Thought I'd let you guys know TW has a few of the S-waver 200's in stock. Light trout, Firetiger, and Party Crasher.
  2. Mighty bite lure Or electronics and internet
  3. I enjoy my coffee but on fishing mornings I best have a place to stop on the way or on the lake. I'd like to comment on this whole statement but we best keep it PG. I'll just say I don't disagree. My buddy did the orangutan hang off the side of MY boat due to to much coffee in the AM and to much booze the previous PM. Didn't sound pretty. Kids these days.
  4. Wishing you and your family all the best Roger. Your message is one that people should take to heart. By the time I was 20 I had lost 4 of my Grandparents and my Father. It's a tough time and something that is impossible to prepare for no matter what the circumstance is. Enjoy your loved ones while they are still here and do your best to show them your gratitude.
  5. Here you go rippin-lips.
  6. I guess this shows you how long it's been since I bought or payed attention to the series. Last time I purchased them they were all regular style hooks.
  7. Yup and everyone is waiting patiently.
  8. My yellow lab likes to ride along and stand on the front deck with me.
  9. When my Wife isn't tanning on the back deck she has been known to reel in a few bass. Never complains about me fishing or hunting. In our terms she's a "keeper" and she let's me hold her fish
  10. Great edit and even better fish! His facial expressions are priceless. I like to boat flip my fish, but I'd think twice on that one.
  11. Uni knot 6 wraps. If it slips your doing something wrong.
  12. I thought this was going to be about the Classic as was getting ready for a debate. Looks like someone grabbed the wrong hook, but I doubt you'll notice any difference in action.
  13. 20lb mono would work well for those swimbaits. Slower is usually better and clear water is a plus. Hardcore swimbait guys will tell you to throw them 24/7, it's a lifestyle for them. Pick out high percentage areas and take your time fishing them. I see you have all slow sink or floaters. Maybe add a faster sinking soft bait to get down to the bottom to slow roll/drag if your fishing deeper weedlines, points, etc. Just a thought.
  14. You don't need a technique specific rod.. Just the right rod for the technique. I also don't see the logic, or benefit, in using one specific rod for everything. Seems like 1 extreme to the next.
  15. I own both and like them both. The Avid is a bit more sensitive and I prefer a full handle. Fish it and see for yourself, but you got a heck of a rod in the Avid.
  16. Next thing you knows that will be the new technique that wins the Classic. Those rods will sell like hot cakes.
  17. 1/4 and 1/2 would be a good starting point. If your just learning to pitch I wouldn't go any lower than 1/4. It's easier to learn with a heavier weight.
  18. 2 3/4 - 3lber. A lot nicer than what we're catching up here in the snow.
  19. 1-3 bass a day is good if there all over 4lbs for me. 20-50 fish days are pretty common around here on many lakes. I'm still happy catching 5-10 a day but I fish lakes known for quality and not quantity.
  20. 3 straight days above 40 in MN and the extended forecast looks promising. Knock on wood, but spring might be coming.
  21. This is what I had heard in the past a well. That's why the whole crawfish statement caught my attention.
  22. I was watching Pro Team Journal today on TV while messing with some fishing gear. I wasn't paying full attention but I thought I heard them say that one of the Largemouth was yellow in color due to feeding on crawfish and the high Iodine levels in them. Anyone else catch this or did I hear wrong? Any truth to this?
