  1. I’m fishing the Northeast division. But yeah you basically get with a boater he calls and registers and gives them your name and flw # then you do the same. That’s how I linked last year with people. Theyre customer service is great and in some instances the tournament directors can help get you a link last min.
  2. Smfh thanks for heads up I totally screwed up. Northeast!
  3. I carry right around 25 combos with me. Then keep 6 spare rods in the event the unfortunate happens to one of them. Every rod is dialed in to a exact bait: gear ratio on the reel, type of line, lb test. Etc. Only 2 cases I’ve doubled rods with the similar setups is for a very specific purpose or having a back up ready to go. One is flipping, 2 scenarios though. One ready with braid and the other fluorocarbon. This is if I’m going back and forth from rocks to weeds. I’d prefer braid in this instance but on the rocks with possibility of zebra mussels run the Fluoro. The other is weight same set up one with say 3/4oz and the other 1.5oz so I could work inside weed line and out side weedline at the same pace. Next case would be cranking. Especially doing some squarebilling or deep cranking. Squares often I’ll have 2 same bait set ups one with heavy mono and the other light Fluoro. To target 2 specific depths around weeds. For deep cranking mainly identical setups just with 2 different baits I.e: silent and rattles, white and chartreuse. Etc
  4. Sunline FX2 has been good for me flippin and froggin. I like SX1 in smaller tests on spinning tackle. I’ve tried 832 and Max Cuatro last year both were good as well. Didnt care for the new Fireline. Way stiffer and waxier than anything I’ve used. Didn’t manage well on a spinning reel.
  5. 170 views only 8 votes? That can’t be right
  6. Huge Daiwa fan here, the new 100 is super smooth BUT I just prefer the CT platform a tad more. (Tat CT, CT Type R, SV, Zillion SV) Although I have been hearing great things about the SLX and shimanos return to aluminum parts.
  7. I can’t stand exposed threads casting or spinning. Looks like the build wasn’t thought all the way through. That’s another story tho. That’s my preferred seat entire hand above the reel. Maybe have the stem between pinky and ring finger depending on what I’m doing at the moment.
  8. Ever try friction tape, stuff you would use on a hockey stick?
  9. Interesting, check box 4. I know that’s popular with trout guys. Do you tape it or is it secured with some type of nut?
  10. Soft body frogs and hollow body frogs in sparse cover DC 735C doubles as a hell of a jig rod Same baits In heavier cover DC 736C Both Rods are going to feel lighter instantly as the blank is lighter, and the Fuji guides are lighter than the seaguides on the Fury, and will balance better with the reels you mentioned. I ran the 735C Fury for 2 years as a frog rod simply cause I didn’t throw frogs enough to justify spending the coin in the more expensive rod. I just recently splurged on the 735C and couldn’t be happier. The tip is much faster and IMO makes the rod more versatile to do other things with it that require some solid back bone! Let me know now what you decide on!
  11. Was having a cool discussion with a friend of mine who currently owns a hodgepodge of a collection. One thing we started talking about was how from brand to brand everyone uses a different style or different orientation. While some manufactures are offering proprietary seats from their parent company. It’s strange because the majority of casting rods on the market use the same reel seat. Just think it it would be a interesting discussion to see what people prefer. Below is is a picture of the Fuji VSS and SK reel seat as a example.
  12. That’s insanity.
  13. As title states. Boater looking for Co Northeast Division looking to register early and get it out of the way. Pm me you number Text/call. Or hit me on social media. Thanks Bass Resource!
  14. All set! Thanks Karl!!! Appreciate it
  15. Definitely lightest Tatula model The new rods too for that price. Good find!
  16. Hey all, Anyone have a set of these laying around you would be interested in parting with? Know a lot of guys do the hedgehog caps, I need a stock pair. Thanks
  17. Tatula 150 would be good! Unfortunately if you want a left handed reel they only have it in 7.3:1. Righty you can get a 6:1. The 150 has Mag Force Z braking the 200 does not. So IMO reel will be more versatile if you want to use it for other stuff like frogging or magnum sized top water.
  18. I don’t have digital calipers to check, but supposedly the new tat 100 and CT variant spools are actually different by 1.5mm idk I don’t see it it fits in mine???
  19. IMO Current gen tat SV would be better for any lighter weight applications. This new 100 is geared towards more of a standard ‘workhorse’ pitching, casting, definitely feels idk how to describe it, maybe stronger than the CT and CT Type R from what I remember. Gears are definitely a upgrade. If your a Daiwa guy these knobs will feel weird first time you grip them. Idk if I like them yet. You can also still do the levelwind bearing upgrade if you choose same size as the rest of the lineup... I wouldn’t be surprised if they take this and go type r then soon after a SV. Version. Current SV spool fits. *edit I’m a little sour cause all these models they’re releasing they’re not offering all the gear ratios in lefty yet again. I need a couple more 5:1s
  20. What he said. I have mine so loose side to side play is probably 1/8th of a inch. Mag set to 14-20 depending on what I’m throwing or skipping. I can cast 6XDs down to the spool knot.
  21. Thanks web... just seeing your post now. I’m all set for 1000 Islands.
  22. The zillion HLC spool has 2 centrifugal brakes. It’s a great C rig and football jig reel. 3/4oz - 1-1/4 range.
  23. These guys got me to go from Metaniums to Tatulas. I didn’t believe it myself lol
  24. Thanks. Not looking to switch just want to know the lengths.
  25. Hey guys, I remember reading somewhere they did the handles like the Metanium. 6:1 and 7:1 is one handle length while the 8:1 is longer... is that true. Can’t seem to find the info on their site.... what the lengths? Thanks in advance!
