  1. So cool how that works. That makes complete sense as to how it allows it to cast the super light baits. Do the SV finesse reels like the 105/alphas/etc have the same system or is it tweaked to those reels specific?
  2. Cool story bro!
  3. Seems a little tight. :/ Does look better tho lol with the black spool and silver accents. I brought this up to DVT a couple weeks ago, feels like it operates the same I'll play around with it some more and tighten the cast control slowly, see where I end up. Purpose is to have deeper spools on my Crazy Crankers. When my higher gear ratio USDM modes don't need additional line for what I use them for.
  4. I wish there was more real world experience of guys running the single 36V Lithium in a tournament setting. While not the same, it's similar to what a Prius runs on. There's Prius' on the road today that have been for 8-10 years still on Original battery. $2,500-$3,000 in one shot for 10 years rather than $1,500 or if costs rise maybe more $$$, 2 or 3 times in 10 years seems more beneficial in the long run. The way the Lithium warranty works scares me tho. I'm sold on just doing the 4 AGMs and callin it a day.
  5. So my opinion of them using the same spool material with 2 different logos, marketing, is a "end all conclusion", while still searching out the information to affirm or change my opinion???? Rippin Lips and others contributed to the post and you're trolling for what??? End of story the spool is the same material, 2 different logos in play, both fact, then through a contributor to the forum we discovered the inductor and spring is what is making the difference, also fact.
  6. Spoke to the local battery guy last night, looks like I'm doing either (1) 31 and (3) 27s or (4) 31s all North Star AGMs just have to verify the sizes the compartment is set up for with the boat dealer. Lithium is completely out of the question at this point. Mentioned Optima again to him he said they are now made in Mexico. Fwiw
  7. ... @rippin-lips hey off topic but do you know if the size of the lip on the edge of the spool matters? Example: my JDM Tats have a shallower spool than my USDM Tats. Say I want extra spools for my JDM reels. The US spool has a much smaller lip putting the side of the spool closer to the housing. Obviously I can't see in there while spool is on but I wonder if I tighten cast control that this little nub touches the wall of the spool. Don't want to damage a spool to find out.
  8. How is it a conclusion if someone posts questions. We're all here to share information. Yeah man if this performs anything close to the Zillion SV, retailers will struggle keeping it in stock.
  9. Heard mixed things on those in the Tournament realm. Leisure fishing no problem tho. I had Yellow tops in past trucks
  10. What's the material of the inductor?
  11. Lmaoooo
  12. @rippin-lips with the W! See I would have never known any of that as a regular consumer. All I see is SV slapped on a A7075 spool. Ok so the SV concept is shallow spool, plus inductor, plus inductor spring, and in some cases something to do with magnets. All this and nothing to do with materials. After all it is only $20 more MSRP over the CT Type R.
  13. If I'm pitching to targets less than 1/2oz bait and it's pretty calm wind wise, then yes all the time. Any real casting I personally haven't.
  14. So the inductor is different than magforce Z? That wouldnt make sense as they wouldnt sell the HLC spool separately which is night and day from the stock spool, as a replacement, with a different inductor to work with the original magnet system. They charge a PREMIUM for the HLC Tat, which includes all the upgraded components.
  15. Ok this makes no sense at all so I'm just gonna get right into it. Tatula Type R and Tatula CT Type R both use the A7075 spool. (I think Arachnid as well) HLC and Zillion SV etc are G1 material spools. The brand spanking new Tatula SV is a A7075 SV spool? What?!? So basically what I'm getting at is the new model is a type r shallow spool with a SV logo???? Seems to me as a pure marketing thing. Im a pretty big Daiwa fan this just completely threw me for a loop. Thoughts?
  16. The cap holding line pawl may be loose. Engage the reel turn it over, the black knob that takes a flat head. Check that. If it is don't over tighten as it is plastic and can easily strip.
  17. 2 things I noticed as I'm in the market too.. talons can be taken off quickly if needed not the power poles. Which both run into a issue for clearance within my garage door. a friend who has the PPs lowers them and stops right before they touch the ground, backs boat into garage then raises them back up once he's in. If he had talons he could just take them off back it in. Next day put em back on.
  18. For awhile lol it's my first new boat. So just doing research, at first reading about it it seemed like I would future proof my self but then as I dug deeper doesn't look like it's worth it in the long term. Yeah I was planning just to do 4 North Star AGM31Ms day one. Figure $1500 every 4-5 years that route. Im more interested in peoples experience that are actually running a single 36. There's really not that much I can muster up in the different forums.
  19. Option with the boat order through the dealer. Basically everything in the compartment is set up differently for the single 36v. It's cost is about double from doing 4 North Star Batteries. Warranty is 10 years. Only downside is lithium itself shipping it back and waiting for repair/replacement which I found out after I made this thread. Advantages are 4-5hr charge time and supposedly a full charge will last twice as long as doing the 3 in series. About 200lbs in weight savings as well. Idk if it's worth the advantages over the disadvantages...
  20. Anyone running a single 36 lithium? How was the switch from 3, 12s? Better or worse? What's your experience. Buying a new boat interested in hearing real world experiences as it's a option to go with day 1.
  21. Running a SV103 on mine. Opted out of Twing for flipping.
  22. Either Champion 744 (not the 744 extreme) or Extreme 795 those would be my picks
  23. Yeah it is compared to the rest of the lineup lol most stout rod in my collection by far. That is definitely a good rod too!
