  1. There are no advantages of the Vision 95 over the Vision 110, it 's not small enough to call it a finesse bait and not large enough to deter smaller fish from hitting it, both cost pretty much the same so for the same price get the 110. The Prop darter is one of those multifunctional baits that can be fished either like a jerkbait, like a crank or like a propbait, good bait when fish are used to see a lot of different jerkbaits, it 's something different.
  2. Really good stuff.
  3. Wanna hear the funny part ? Her relatives from Minnesota came for the holidays and they said the temps were so "nice"...... I don't understand ???? :-/
  4. Pleez, somebody pump some greenhouse gases into the atmosphere ...... fast ! I just can 't take this cold ! Come on Spring !
  5. You fish from shore or from a boat ? I tell you this cuz when I hang up a lure which occurs several times during a trip there ain 't no magic solution to getting back my lure other than the old reliable plug knocker.
  6. They ain 't gonna ketch nuthin ' if the ain 't the water, besides, you bought lures not decoration for your home.
  7. Daiwa makes them for StCroix. They are very close to the CVZ with some minor differences like the spool and the knobs, will they perform like the CVZ ? ...... I have no idea. :-?
  8. Report from down here from the southernmost member of BR 600 miles south to the most southern part of the US-Mexico border, global warming ? yeah, right sez who ?; gotta do something quick otherwise I 'm moving closer to de Equator cuz being below the Tropic of Cancer sure don 't do the trick. Man it 's freezing cold down here ! BTW, took the kids n 'wife on a quick trip to the Sierra de Lobos early in the morning to take some pictures of them playing in the snow, who knows maybe they won 't see snow in person in some years. And the wife want us movin to where she from in Cali :-/ ...... she nutz ! :-X
  9. The round baitcasters are the closest thing you can find to the JDM CVZ ( discontnued ).
  10. Oh yes there is stuff for Shimano and Garcia: handles, bearings, spools, drag pads. Only catch is when you finish tweaking with your reel adding the cost of upgrades to the cost of the reel for the same money you could have purchased a more expensive reel that the one you just tweaked that already had the upgrades you wanted in the first place. Specially those aftermarket spools and handles are anything but cheap.
  11. The only two mods I would do to a Pixy would be the drag pads for beefier ones and probably cork knobs to see if I can shave away that 0.1 oz difference in weight it has with the Steez. To the Sol ...... maybe a red spool and the obligated handle swap for aTDZ handle. To tell you the truth I 'm not much of a tweak fanatic. :-/, I like them as they are.
  12. If you are after big fish you 'd better start thinking big, Fish Chris ( and I think his records are well worth taking in consideration ) once mentioned that you shouldn 't waste your time with 4 inch baits, if you are going big go big or go home. A 4 inch bait is about the size of a jerkbait or a bigger size crank.
  13. Fluoro stretches as much as nylon.
  14. Yup, more like a jointed minnow.
  15. Could be, I 've been thinking about it in the same line of thought. Lightweight weightless soft baits with that eternal sink rate always have been good producers for me.
  16. Got no idea :-?, all my Paddle Tail tubes are still in their original unopened packs. :-/ Man, gotta make some time to try them out. :
  17. Don 't know if I should feel flattered or what being on that list. :-/
  18. You still gotta drive from home to work, don 'tcha ? Don 't know what 's worse, driving to the lion 's den looking for trubble or working at the lion 's den where you already are in trubble.
  19. Hey !, don 't limit me with the rods I can take. j/k. Actually what RW says is true, I can fish in practical terms all my baits with 3 rods, 1 MH, 1 M and 1 ML or L. and that 's pretty much what I carry, plus ( and it may not be the case of everyone ) a H rod that I use for flipping & swimbaiting but I can live without it.
  20. Well, in the spirit of Low_Budget_Hookerness, then go to Delo 's site and purchase a Curado 100 with the Shimano mail-in rebate you get it for about $130. Won 't find any deal better than that one.
  21. Whiners. For me Got two options: 380 dollars plane ticket + 220 dollars 1 hotel night, don 't pay transportation to BPS from the airport back & forth, BPS has shuttle from and to the airport. 500 dollars ( in gas + tolls + hotel + 24 hours sitting on my butt driving to it back & forth ) I guess I just beat all of you.
  22. Out of the 600+ cranks I own 80% of them are Rapala. Which one is my favorite: Shad Rap in all it 's sizes and variations.
  23. Daiwa Sol Shimano Chronarch 50 mg.
  24. Some are going to say yes, others are going to say no ( like me ) I can 't feel that much of a difference between a GLX and an IMX that justifies me from shelling another 100 dollars more. I would shell the 100 dollars in another thing but not stepping up from an IMX to a GLX. Others are gifted and can notice the difference and justify the 100 extra dollars.
