  1. Do you use 50# ?I have 50# PP on my frog rod I think I'll tie on a senko and see how it casts.
  2. I am a line watcher but I don't want the fish to be line watchers.
  3. I am going to pick up a spool of Suffix 832 50# braid but wanted some opinions on color. The new White, Green or Lime? I don't use a leader.
  4. I've got one like it but it's the 2500 with the 6.0 & it gets from 7-13 mpg towing/empty ! You'll be glad you got the smaller motor.
  5. Exactly what frogs do you like to use the best? If you don't mind me asking.
  6. First off they look suprised because I nuck up on them.lol And yea that big one was 5.1# and it should have gone back... I was so happy to catch it I never thought about it. I have theown back a 35# flathead before for what its worth. And yes that is a new R&R = lews TP reel and a 7' micro Kistler.
  7. Does anyone use Spiderwire?
  8. I'm going to say from my VERRRRY limited use of it it acts like a wire.
  9. I am trying some 15# X50 and it is stiff, casts poorly & I had a knot slip Today ... I don't understand and it has memory ! I am not ready to give up on it yet but I will bet you it becomes leaders... Sorry just my $.02
  10. I cut them into smaller chunks and pan fry normally
  11. How well can a weightless 5' Senko be casted with 50# braid ? I have 1 reel with 10# 832 and it digs a bit but it has caused no problems yet but I guess I will need to keep an eye on it?
  12. Just a couple of shots from Yesterday. I went to a lake I hadn't been to in a while. I think I'll go back again soon.
  13. I ended up buying a Kistler. After 1 day of use it is OK the grip is a bit fatter than I like but it's light and sensitive and has a cork grip. I also got a new reel (Lew's TP) and I haven't seen an increase in casting distance but I am going to try just setting 1 break instead of 2 and see if I can't get more out of it. All & all I'm happy with it and may buy another Microguide rod.
  14. I got to handle both of them Yesterday and I sure like how the grip on the Loomis is a small diameter. I just got a Kistler with Microguides I've only fished it 1 day so far so I am trying to decide if I want to buy another micro rod or one of the 2 I started the thread about.
  15. I got to try my new TP reel Yesterday for the first tine and it's great & has some nice features but the regular speed spool is all the reel you need and 1/2 price. By all means if you have the cash get the TP but if not the Speed Spool is still awesome.
  16. I have a tournament pro on the way I have a Speed spool and it is great ! Very small and light but if I had it to do again I'd just get the TP to start with .
  17. Can someone tell me about the Savvy line of rods ? I'm looking at the Dobyns Savvy Cast Rod 7'3" Med Hvy 733 to be exact . I am wanting to get either that rod or a G. Loomis GL2 Cast Jig and Worm Rod 7'5" Med Hvy Thanks
  18. I see a lot of rods around with Microguides And don't know anything about them . Do the small guides affect the casting distance ? I understand they are lighter but other than that ...
  19. Don't worry about a "piston gun" buy good H&K mags instead and buy ANYTHING BUT a Dancing Pony (Colt) & 6mm PPC
  20. I am almost 100% sure I'm going to buy the Loomis !
  21. I just wanted to give an update that the rod/reel work great! THANKS TO ALL...
