  1. I mean were they schooled this tightly together?
  2. I like Power Pro or 832 braids. Another thing I'd use a 50# braid as it won't "dig" like a smaller diameter braid will. I use the high-vis Yellow or Green line and take a sharpie to the last 7' instead of using a leader.
  3. Did the shad look like this ?
  4. It may be the time of day. I fish a lake that they bite in the morning or evening. During the day I don't catch a lot there. Another thing the last time I was down the ones I caught were super fat I couldn't imagine they had room to eat anything else.
  5. No thanks, I'd rather fish when I want to and I'd prefer to be the only one on the lake.
  6. I am using 12# Vanish on 1 rod and I haven't had any problems with it yet. I will say I am very new to Fluoro.
  7. Still waiting for a pair of them . 30? days I think,
  8. I sent off for a pair of the boat bags you get if you buy a reel . Mailed it on Monday and had my stuff on Friday!
  9. Shimano Sellus! It will come in under budget and outperform rods above its price range.

  11. 8 miles of still water yesterday on the kayak yesterday was 1 heck of a workout.
  12. I got 4 of them last night. They were over $5 for 4 of them!
  13. I also want to thank him. I few weeks ago had him pick me out some jigs and send them to me. I was very impressed with the jigs I got and the powder coat on the jig head is holding up excellent!!!
  14. Pink Lady's are also good!
  15. SBR AR-15 If you truly need to protect yourself 30rds of 223 in a tactical platform is hard to beat ! the bigger choice may be ammo. My house is old enough that it has Plastered walls. I doubt that a hollow point will consistently enough go through a wall to get at an assailant using a wall for cover but a fmj may zip right through a person (or Zombie) not subduing them as fast as a hp will. BTW I have a 45xd with Trijicons in a small safe by my pillow (16''away) HOPEFULLY this will keep me & my family alive until I can get to one of my ARs. I have small children so I don't have the option of being able to have a just gun laying out...
  16. Most low end fish finders have a nice volt meter? built in. I'd go that route if you only have 1 battery.
  17. +1 50# PP or 832 work good . If you are using a worm hook DON'T use the ones for superlines they don't bend well.
  18. Mid August Sunrise & sunset. Watching a bass swirl in the water as it works a school of baitfish then walking a frog over the top of it. CRUSH!!!
  19. What do you drive?
  20. Nice rod. Nice reel Time to respool! Kistler 7' MH Micro guide stick worm rod Lew's TP 50# 832Hi-vis
  21. I like the fast reels a lot! I have no problems slowing them down... but if you think you need to unload that old Shimano & keep that bps send me a pm.
  22. OK I got the Sellus wet Yesterday and I like it. IMHO It's the best rod I've seen in the $60 range by far! This thing is actually usable and not just a waste of money . I figured the Medium rating would be too light for a crancbait but it turns out it did fine (the small amount I threw a lipless crank). I could actually feel the "rattles" in the crank through the rod. I mainly threw Flukes & Paddle tales. I had a 50e Curado on it with older 8# test and the line broke on me a couple of times setting the hook... so I started using another rod but I can't wait to get new line and get it wet again. This time with a 10-12# flouro untill I remember how bad I hate that S**T!
  23. 1/2 stick! not very suttle but hey.
  24. I got one Today 7'm Crankbait. I think/plan on it being a better weightless plastic rod . I'll get it wet Tomorrow and let you all know what I think.
