  5. Hey guys, I figured for the last couple months of the bass season we could have a little lunker tourney. The contest will run from Sept 21 - Oct 31st. Here are the rules 1. Fish must be caught in NH,ME waters 2. Must have a picture of the fish while hanging from a scale with the weight in the picture to be qualified for the tournament. 3. Can only be caught between Sept 21 - Oct 31st Also you can enter more than 1 fish ill just update the standings every week to see who is the winner for each week. The weeks will run from Saturday-Saturday meaning the person who has caught the biggest fish within that week wins then it will reset on the Sunday after for the following week. I hope to see a lot of patrons to this competition and may the best of luck to all you NH and ME anglers.
  6. We should start a Lunker tourney thread for this forum I bet it be fun for these last few months.
  7. How big do the Recon Worms go for size? Also what should I choose in regards to color preference I was thinking the green pumpkin for more of a natural look.
  8. I might try to get out at dusk today with the overcast conditions I feel like we should get a bite on. Gonna go grab some 10in ribbon tail worms with 3/0 EWG hooks and go after the pig today.
  9. Went fishing at pennichuck pond today the only way to get in is through a brook that you have to paddle a mile to get into it caught 3 bass total all around about a pound nothing spectacular. Still trying to get that hog though before the seasons out.
  10. Pawtuckaway is just one of those lakes that's very hard to fish I have fished it multiple times when I am up at my camp and have gotten skunked. I think its just all the pressure that comes from all the campers that fish and also the people that fish there.
  11. I caught my 4-2 close to the cam right near the island area when you first go left out of the ramp at Stello's further up though seems like it would be interesting I noticed the fish we caught were holding on the edges of the thick weeds that ran parallel to deeper water. I'm going out there tonight to see if I can get on any pigs. With this full moon in swing to I feel as though I could catch some big ones at night aswell
  12. Do you think the upper river towards Runnels Bridge will produce bigger fish I have heard if some monsters in there I mean my 4lb bass was a nice size one and I know there's bigger fish in there. I know you fish it a lot that's why I am wondering more or less looking for some insight to the river.
  13. Also does anyone know of other boat launches on the Nashua River?? I'd love to fish diffrent sections, but the only one I know of is Stello's Stadium
  14. Caught a 4lb 2oz largie last night and a 2.46 largie. All in all good day on the Nashua River gonna try again Friday maybe somewhere different or more up North from me. Would post pics, but can't seem to get them to upload still.
  15. Heading to the Nashua River tonight. Taking a break from my hunting season for 2 days to try and catch a hog before the seasons out. Wish me luck guys will post later if I get anything
  16. Vermont is the best state around man. I plan on moving there next fall with my girlfriend if all falls into place I love hunting and fishing up there its like the only piece left of true nature in the country in my opinion.
  17. Thank you for your service as well some people don't say that nowadays but most people don't understand what it takes to be a Marine. My bestfriends in Okinawa right now haha that's why I respect you and devildoc

  19. I have a camp on Northwood Lake on Blakes Hill Road been fishing Northwood for 10-12 years now maybe more my great grandpa still holds the record I believe on that lake with an 8lb 14oz bass and another close one that weighed 8lb 6oz.
  20. All these ideas sound very informative and helpful. For now I think I am going to try the C rig on the bottom and draggin it around points and other underwater structure that I can see on the Topo Maps. Another question how heavy should I go for a C rig? And also how will I know whats really on the bottom?
  21. Thanks for the help guys I am gonna try brains method first and maybe save up for a decent one to put into my boat. Ill let you know what I come out with.
  22. With a depth finder I don't know really what to look for as to what to get seeing as how I have a budget you know. Also wouldn't I need a map of the lake anyways to put my fish finder to good use to find areas? and such
  23. Also if it helps I live and fish in New Hampshire.
  24. Hey Guys, so I am a fairly avid bass fisherman and have been so for roughly since I was 5. Now through my trial and error experiences I have come to notice that a lot of my fishing pertains to hitting shoreline structure and visible cover mostly shallow water fishing. Now this has worked for me a fair amount of the time, but I really wanna get into deep water fishing and fishing a lot of underwater structure depths that range from 10-20 feet because I know that if I do this my odds will increase drastically and I can catch some bigger fish as well. My situation is I have a small 6hp v hull boat with a trolling motor and no electronics. I am just looking to see what you guys can offer to help me get off the banks and into the deeper water so I can start catching some more quality and quantity fish. Any helps is appreciated. Thanks, Mike
