  1. Yea I was just wondering cause it didn't look like my other spinning rods. Anyone got any recommendations for a spinning reel for it for under 80 bucks? Looking to put about 30-40lb braid on it for a Jig Setup and my Heavy Spinner baits
  2. Well today is a good day haha I found out that My Uncle had given me a 7'0 Medium/Heavy rod awhile ago and I found it so all I have to do is get a reel for it and I'll have a new setup. Also I wanna figure out if I can put a bait caster on this rod I'll post pics in a minute of the rod and I want your opinion and if I can I want to spend roughly around 80 dollars on a bait caster.
  3. Only 1 more day till tax return haha then I'm buying a couple new setups and some jigsssssssss
  4. The actual Rage Craws or the Rage Craw Trailers?
  5. Anyone have good suggestions on trailers for jigs?
  6. Another question I have is last year when I wanted to find deep structure and cover I looked at the shoreline and looked to see if the land jutted out or if it cut in like a cove and what I would do is use my Texas Rig worm with a heavy weight to feel out the bottom for structure and cover. This produced very well for me. Now for a jig I know it is a bottom bait and I have used it briefly not much what are some of your suggestions for fishing it on the bottom as a search bait?
  7. I stand corrected it is actually just a Medium action rod not a Medium-Lite also I use spinning reels. I prefer them over bait-casters for some odd reason do you think this will be fine for say like 3/8 oz jigs? Just so I get some weight so that I can feel the bottom better.
  8. What would you recommend for a jig? Trailer wise and weight wise. My setup is a Medium-Lite 6'0 Ugly Stick with a Mitchell 300ex spinning reel. I have 2 of those setups by the way. Also what kind of cover are you looking for weeds, rocks, timber, because I know in April most cover is rotting or dead and it isn't the best place to fish because it takes oxygen out of the water which is less attracting to the fish.
  9. So I usually start my fishing season the beginning of May because usually I don't have much success during April. This year on the other hand I want to fish the Nashua River and some Small ponds in April. My question is what are your guys tactics in April for getting on some good fish? If you want to know my rig I have a small aluminum canoe with a 35lb thrust trolling motor and up at my camp I have a 12ft aluminum V-hull with a 10HP motor. I also do not have electronics in either rig.
  10. Hey guys I am looking to try out ice fishing as a winter hobby and to see if I'll enjoy it my friend has a bob house and I am going to buy some start up gear, but I wanna know from your guys experiences as to what I should buy and as to what I should look for when fishing.
  11. Also how heavy should I go for a bullet weight on my Texas Rigs if I plan to fish 10-20ft deep?
  12. Hey guys I got a question for you all that use roof racks to transport your fishing boats. As of now my 4x4 SUV **** the bed so I had to get a new car. I bought a 2013 Honda Civic. Being this my old truck I could just throw the canoe right on top and go fish whenever. Well this isn't the case for this car as it is brand new and I don't want to risk scratching or damaging it in anyway. So my question is do any of you have any roof racks that you would recommend for a car that I could put my canoe on and also I would preferably want some that are not permanent so that I can take them off the car when needed.
  13. Northwood gets a lot of pressure in the summer. Sometimes the fishing is great sometimes it sucks. Best places to fish are the deep weeds out around 10-13 ft its not the deepest lake, but if you can find the pockets of cover in that depth you should do pretty well. Places to avoid on that lake are the obvious places such as to the west side of the lake where there is large rock clifs running into the water. If you cruise about 100 yards away from the public beach near the boat ramp there is some good deep weeds over there I have caught multiple big bass over there and my uncle caught his 4lb smallie over there.
  14. Northwood is what lake my camp is on I've been fishing there since I was in diapers my great grandpa holds the lake record of an 8lb 14oz bass. I am also aware of some biggens in the lake as I've seen them jump at dusk my biggest on the lake is a 5lb 7oz Largemouth and my great Uncle caught a 4lb 8oz Smallie on the lake too.
  15. I definitely will pick up a package of Rage Craws haha. What colors would you recommend and where and how should I fish it for presentation purposes?
  16. Quick question for you all. Anyone fish a Wacky Rigged Senko in deep water? Roughly more than 20ft. Looking to try this out for some deep water action next spring.
  17. 1 season ends another begins. BRINGGGG ONNNN THE DEEER
  18. I wish we'd get a little snow around NH haha then tracking really takes off for deer hunting.
  19. Haha yea that's pretty funny. Thanks you too
  20. Haha thats funny I think I saw you there before I left. I went to naticook after and only caught 1 bass
  21. The first bolts that you put into the plywood did you put them through from the sides
  22. What was the list of materials you used to build the whole thing?
  23. With your fish finder mount do you think it would read well if I just paddle. As of now I do not have a trolling motor on my canoe, but my girlfriend is buying me one as a gift and I wanted to do the setup like yours so that I could use it with my boat and my canoe. Just seeing if it would work with paddles.
  24. GUYS GUYS. Ok so my girlfriend is buying me a depth finder as a present for are anniversary the reason she told me about it is cause she wants to know which one to get.The price range is 100-130 bucks looking for my best option.
