  1. Went out today.Did a 6 hour outing caught 2 bass and 6 pickerel it was a tough bite. Tried swim jigs, wacky worms, Texas rigged curly tail worm, rattle traps, jigs and still couldn't get a consistent bite. Anyone been getting on them and if you have what style retrieve are you using? I've been doing slow dead sticking ripping it everything can't seem to get out of this slump. Here's the fish from today.
  2. Went out this weekend in search of some big bass on a trout pond. Ended up fishing awhile didn't manage any bass, but the trout were on fire limited out in about 30 minutes all Brookies. I know there's big bass in here due to seeing a friends pictures. All in all good Sunday
  3. Went out this morning to Saltmarsh Pond in Gilford NH. Buddy of mine pulled a 4lb smallie out of there last year. It's a trout pond but we targets smallmouth. No smallies but we did end up limiting out with a fair amount of good sized brook trout. All in all successful Sunday
  4. Did some trout fishing yesterday morning and then afternoon targeted the bass throwing huddlestons didn't get on any bass but caught 4 nice Brookies here was the biggest 2.
  5. I'm actually going night fishing Friday night on a couple of secret ponds up near my camp . I'm excited too do it I watched a ton of videos on guys doing it gonna try it hopefully get on a hog
  6. Like dragging it or hopping it? Interesting
  7. I use a 7ft heavy action bass pro graphite series Muskie Rod. With a shimano Cardiff 401A spooled with 50lb braid Yea the hudd is a mental game watching keepinitreelfishing got the slow retrieve down for me I first started just going slow cranking but even still was fast than I started looking at the spool itself turn and painfully slowed it down too bottom crawl. Haven't picked up a hog yet but just time on the water with it will eventually get me one caught this guy on it last weekend. I like the golden shiner and perch colors the best, but the Ayu color does well also
  8. Yea it's a little bit warmer down in central NH but not by much I've gotten a few on the hudd 68 nothing on the 8in but that's how the hudds go grind grind grind and eventually that 1 fish will come
  9. Was the lunker you caught in 6-8ft roughly? I've been grinding it out with huddlestons lately and have landed a few fish still gotta keep grinding I know just looking for a depth range
  10. Went out today got on 5 fish total. Glide bait and a hudd 68 took these bad boys
  11. Just recently purchased. A swimbait setup and am dedicating my time to it this year. I have 2 hudds a huddelston 8in golden shiner and a hudd 68 in perch color. Now I will mostly be targeting smaller ponds for big largemouth, but my question is anyone ever have any luck with catching big smallies on these things? I'm talking 4lbs or more I feel like it be the same principle. Because there areas few big smallmouth lakes and ponds near me in NH just looking to see anyone's input as to what you prefer for hudds targeting smallies or any big swimbait as to that matter.
  12. Yea this will be my first year with hudds. Pretty siked to see them in action though. Gonna exclusively throw them all year to get on a pig I may go fish less, but when I do link up with a bite I know it'll be a giant.
  13. I would use a jig and pig. Cast it out and drag it back painfully slow. It'll get you on fish. This year I purchased a huddelston setup for throwing big swimbaits that's also and option cast unmm far and deep and slowly reel umm in
  14. If launching from Jolly Rogers go straight out the gate and go towards the left side you'll see like a sunken boat kinda thing when you go to the left if i recall its like a small boat of some sort. Any ways if you go up that canal where that boat is sitting and shoot up there that whole canal holds fish. Frogs, Swimsuits, Senkos, Manns 10in jelly worms you'll be on fish. My uncle caught a few 3lbers and a big 5 lber up there.
  15. Wondering if anyone has tried fishing for bass these past few weeks on the Merrimack,Nashua river or any other rivers this time of year. Just bought some new Huddelstons and am looking to try them out on some open water. Any helps appreciated.
  16. Anything Perch colored or fire tiger bass up here primarily forage on bluegills and perch with crawfish as well. so anything brown orange, Perch or fire tiger, black and blue, green pumpkin. or you can say screw it and go buy a huddelston perch swimbait and that is one of the most realistic baits in my opinion for a bait fish. Or you wanna catch big bass find a stocked trout pond that has bass in it and throw a brown trout huddelston or a rainbow in 6-8in. Reel it low and slow and cover as much water as possible. you'll get your PB up here doing it.
  17. Anyone know of any open water in Boston area up towards the NH border in mass? Dieing to get out and I'll drive down there to fish
  18. Been fishing the hard water lately bites been killer. Kills the cabin fever a bit of the winter tight lines everybody
  19. Water temp, bait used, small pond? Not to be nosy just going out this Friday gonna be chilly but I've been having good luck with rattle traps looking to see if there still in that pattern. Thanks
  20. He is right about the cranking off trees although I use lipless it has produced multiple good size and numbers days for me. I don't have electronics on my canoe but a little bit of a lake map and google earth can show the terrain which can also correlate with the water structure and bottom contour. My retrieve mostly has been casting and yo yo ing the lipless crank covering water. And they seem to hit a golden shiner color and a black with silver belly Spro Arku shad. Here are some pics of the past 2 weekends in November But honestly Maine is gods gift to Northeast Bass Fisherman. So I'd just go basically off whatever he says. Even if he said throw a rock with a 2/0 EWG in milfoil to catch sloppy pigs I'd probably do it
  21. Went out today another pretty good fishing day had 8 fish buddy got onto atleast a 4-5lber and right at the boat spat his lure. All fish were caught on the spro Arku shad lipless cranks. In golden shiner, yellow perch, and crawdad color these baits have been money this October and November. Get on out there there still biting
  22. Went to one of my favorite fisheries in lyndeboro small little hard to get to pond where the big ones live and the fish are always Biting. Well today we had 3 fish all on lipless cranks. My favorite the spro arkadu shad in golden shiner color. Was a good day bass fishing still is hot so get out there and rip lips
  23. Night fishing this time of year? Hmm did you fish pretty slow?
  24. Do you have an Adress to the closest launch or area where he could launch a kayak and park? Looks amazing
