  1. It's been fair nothing to great this year. I fish up in southern nh mostly. I have caught about 3-4 bass over 4lbs but it definatelly has been slow. Not that I've moved around to much I have mostly been on Northwood Lake this whole summer, here are some of the bigger fish I've caught. Although my little cousin whose just starting to get into fishing begs me everyday I go out to take him and finally I took him one night and he ends up catching his best fish yet and the best fish of the season so far at 6lbs 1oz. The 6lber is in the last picture
  2. Agreed I'll be out on the water everyday after work and on weekends trying to beat my personal best. Seeing as how this is my last season in New England for bass fishing as I will be shipping out for bootcamp in February I'm hoping to get on a slob, but all in all I'll be in California most likely for my MOS so I'll be on some Cali pigs aswell. Good luck to everyone this fall.
  3. Anyone here siked for fall fishing? Everybody's going deer hunting so the lakes will be opened up hopefully. Catch some hogs this fall.
  4. I did see that thank you for the notification. I'm looking for places within like a 20-30 min drive from Stoneham.
  5. Hey guys recently been staying in Stoneham MA a lot during the week. Anybody know of some good places I can go fishing near here? I have a canoe and would love to go out when I get off work. I
  6. Went out tonight by myself too my secret honey hole on Northwood Lake. He weighed out to 4.05lbs caught him on a green pumpkin Denny Bauer structure jig with a green pumpkin rage craw trailer. Goodnight overall
  7. Here's a couple other pics of his fish
  8. Went out tonight my little cousin begged me to go all day. So I take him out to my new secret spot on Northwood Lake and I catch around a good sized 3-4lb bass on a jig n pig than he casts out and catches a 6lb giant largie his biggest bass and second bass ever crazy got the kid addicted on bassin right off the rip. Haha
  9. Yes I've been there a couple times on my canoe nice place. As for Northwood it's either a hit or a miss on that lake. It gets a lot if pressure nowadays do to easy access, but I still do pretty we'll my great grandfather holds the record on the lake with an 8lb 14oz bass and he also caught another 8lb bass out of there. Both are mounted on the wall. My luck there has been mostly with 7in cherry seed curly tail worms texas rigged. And also rage craw jigs. Here's the pics of some of my fish and my uncles that we catch there. I have caught a ton of big bass there as we'll, but these are the pics I have on my phone at the moment. Biggest thing there is knowing the secret hidden spots off the average shore bank, but that comes with time there. I've been fishing it for almost 11 years.
  10. That pond does hold some gems my girlfriend caught a 4.5lber out of there 2 years ago when we went I've heard of 8lbers being pulled as we'll.
  11. Very good smallie fishing. I was impressed best fishing I've had all season with smallies.
  12. Went to lake Umbagog state park with my girlfriend. All in all great trip got on about 12 fish. 2 biggest were a little under 3 lbs. all in all great trip most fish were caught on 7in cherry seed power worms. And jig n pig with rage craw trailers I'm falcon lake craw color. Here's the pics of the 2 biggest fish
  13. Will be going camping up at Lake Umbagog state park this weekend. Anyone got any tips or spots to go on this lake? I've heard there's good smallmouth in there. I will be using my canoe.
  14. A wacky rigged live worm or a senko type bait?
  15. Quick question for all you guys that have kids. My friends son just got into fishing hes about 6 years old and hes addicted.I put him on a lot of sunfish just to keep his interests up and keep him into the sport, I would like to put him on a bass though just to get him that first big fish. How do you go about getting them on a bass with a 6 year old what lures would you recommend, should I use live bait? Any help would be good
  16. Random topic, but it is a realistic question, How many bass do you think are in a lake at a time. try to estimate spawning and other factors that may affect the number just a different question to ask.
  17. I would definitely make the investment. Also invest in some good quality jigs and you'll be on the bass. Here's some good ones I've caught on a jig with a craw trailer.
  18. It's a craw fish that's jacked up on steroids
  19. I'm telling yea gonna have to start going to Rage Craws Anonymous. Baits are addictive.
  20. Here's some proof to my jig theory I was explaining. I caught this decent sized one tonight along with a couple others. As for hardbaits I like them during windy periods or during the spring and fall when the fish are a little more active, they are also good for covering water to find the active fish then once you find the active fish it's time to switch over to a soft plastic for a more subtle presentation to see if you can pick up those finicky bass. Anyways here's a pic of my 3.5 bass I caught tonight on a jig with rage craw trailer.
  21. Went out tonight started getting on them really fast in deeper water caught about 7 fish in 2 hours. All on the magic jig with rage craw trailer..... Shane is a genius on that lure. Even got my pops to try it and he got on some good fish as we'll. here's the pics my fish was obviously the biggest of the trip lol.
  22. Also if you're looking for spots to get on bass. Don't always beat the banks what I do is I start about where the shallow water tapers off to deep water around 8-10ft then I work my way in. This will give you a lot more coverage of the water and might even get you on some big bass that sit out deeper.
  23. Fish a wacky rig senko. That bait I call the do nothing bait. You literally cast it out a good ways let it sink to the bottom and just watch your line for any movement slight twitches or ticks. If nothing hits it on the fall, reel up some slack then slowly raise your rod tip up. If nothing hits it cast out repeat the process. Another bait I love is a texas rigged 7in power worm made by Berkeley power bait. These are my go to mostly. Another good bait is a jig with a rage craw trailer great for big bass. What I would do is spend the most time out on the water as you could don't give up after only a few hours really dig in and learn that piece of water. Between those 3 baits you should get on some good fish.
  24. Went out today with a buddy got on a ton if fish roughly about 16 fish total. Most of them were 1.5lbs where the biggest being roughly around 3lbs. All fish were caught on jigs with rage craw trailers and wacky rigged senkos. Gonna go see if I can get one over 5 tomorrow after work.
