  1. So I’ve come to realize slow is basically the all around go to retrieve with these. One place I fish has a ton of lily pads I assume In California more or less rocky reservoirs but didn’t know if you had any experience fishing these in heavy cover
  2. Is this working it in even higher temp waters say 70 and above No pike where I fish just bass and there main forage is bluegill and perch I opted for the perch but may buy the hudd hill down the line depending how much succes I have with the perch hud
  3. So I have it in a perch color more or less perch are active in water temps above 60 so essentially it should work throughout the seasons because perch are always present haven’t really used it much I’ve watched videos but I know I gave to but the time in too get results from it now that the water is about 70 in my areas would a steady retrieve to just get the tail moving be the best option or a faster retrieve
  4. Just recently got into the big swimbait game bought a hudd 68 see a lot of posts about prespawn fishing them anyone using them year round with success I’m in nh as well looking for some tips
  5. Was wondering if anyone has any tips for catching golden shiners consistently for bait up here in NH. I have one spot that I can get them pretty much throughout May then after that they seem to disappear just wondering if anyone had any tips or general location tips as to finding them.

  9. Anyone wade for bass and if so how big of bass have you caught doing this?
  10. Recently I haven't had time to fish out of my canoe on lakes so I've been bound to shore fishing. To up my odds of catching big bass what I started doing was going on google maps and hiking to remote bodies of water be it ponds, beaver ponds, swamps. And I'd fish this has gone well for me so far as I've found some pretty good bass areas. Wondering if anyone else's does this and what there tactics might be? I also live in NH
  11. Went out today to a spot out in western NH me and my buddy ended up netting 20 bass in 5 hours biggest was 3lbs all fish were over 2lbs. Big baits were the key BBz rat, Glide baits, along with soft body top water frogs and senkos
  12. Caught 2 decent bass this morning biggest was a 2.5lb
  13. Stop on the way up to a little brook I always go to tried for some trout on the way before bass fishing. Ended up limiting out in an hour. Gonna have some bacon wrapped trout this morning with eggs happy 4th
  14. Also caught a big catfish as well during the day which I found odd. And here's another pic of the bass
  15. Caight this pig right off my dock on northwood lake
  16. Got out on squam lake today. 13 hours of fishing with a ton of fish roughly around 15 smallmouth and 5 largemouth between the 3 of us fishing. Hands down best fishery in NH most fish came on wacky worms and jitterbugs. All in all fantastic day biggest was a 3lb smallie most fish averaged 2lbs
  17. If homeless people can stand outside and hold a sign that says starving, to ugly to prostitute. I'm sure you'd have a shot at it. Just don't go fishing with the guy in the big white van. ???
  18. So similar to yo yo ing a rattle trap. Without the continuous reeling. Just reel up slack lift till you feel vibration then let it fall back down. Reel up slack lift till vibration let fall. And do you let it sit on bottom for a bit of just a continuous steady motion of this retrieve
  19. Do you cast it out and jig it and how far of a motion for jigging short pulls or long 1-2 ft pulls. Also any trailer specifically? And what depth and areas I don't have a depth finder so I'm mainly gonna rely on a topo
  20. I'll do either or I'd prefer to jig cause it'll break up the monotony of trolling. How do you go about it and what pound test line should I be using. And what lures
  21. Hey guys going up to lake willoughby in Vermont this weekend and I here it's a good lake trout fishery. I've never fished for lake trout before but I have a 14 ft Jon boat and I have a heavy action musky rod with a big conventional open faced reel. I figured I could troll a 3 way swivel with a heavy 1-2 ounce weight and a moose lock wobbler to catch them. Any tips would be appreciated.
  22. Went out for a quick shore excursion at massabesic. Landed a pickerel and this nice largemouth that was about 2lbs in the hour that I was there. On a rattle trap.
  23. Went out today on Paugaus bay landed 1 smallie and a rock bass nothing special. Went back down towards my camp and stopped at a small river on the side of the road and caught a nice Brookie. Then to wrap up the day we fished jeness pond in north wood. And it was a bit breezy so rattle traps were what we figured best. Well they succeed my buddy landed 2 nice bass one was 3lbs the other 3lbs 4oz all in all decent day. Still looking for the warmer water to get them more active.
  24. Hey guys, recently I have been fishing hard style baits to cover more water and search out fish. Most of my fishing career has been Texas rig fishing, and this has produced well for me quality and quantity, but recently I've been wanting to cover water more and find active fish to isolate unproductive areas more quickly and get on fish. I've been using a lot of lipless cranks and they have produced well just not so much with bass but a lot of other species. I really wanna learn more reaction style fishing, crank baits, spinnerbaits, chatterbaits. I fish primarily small under 150 acre ponds and some 600-700 average lakes average depths ranging 5-20ft natural lakes in the northeast. The water temps are fairly cold right now so slow is the name of the game I understand. Any tips would be appreciated, Also do you fish reaction baits in water temps 40 degrees and lower? The water is fairly cold up here right now.
  25. Anyone have any insight as to fishing hard Baits and search baits. Most of my fishing career I've used a lot of Texas rigged soft plastics, but recently I've been getting into crankbaits more specifically lipless baits, but I will be purchasing some billed cranks as well. Any tips on fishing them to get on bigger and numbers of bass. I really like fishing them cause I like the ability to cover water and keep moving to find the fish.
