  1. Denver isnt that great. They have an aging quarterback that used to be great, but now is passed his prime. Elway and the other owners picked up Manning and touted him as the next best thing since sliced bread. Personally Im glad they ossed to the Ravens. The Ravens with their aging linebacker are by far the better team. They just had an off night last night.
  2. Bwahahahahahahahahahahaha!!! :D
  3. Papa Ray is gonna get his final superbowl baby! Bye bye Broncos. Bye bye Manning. Go Ravens! Oh and Go Raiderettes the leagues number one cheer squad for the season. Hey we gotta be number one in something.
  4. Thanks everyone. It means a lot to me. Ill keep yall posted on how everything works out.
  5. Please for the love of God keep my friend in your thoughts and prayers. I dont care what religion or whatever you are. Just please send prayers or send positive vibes or thoughts or whatever his way. His name is Dave and he is one of the few people that I can call a friend. He went into the doctors office a few weeks ago for back pain and stroked out. He had a brain aneurysm and they operated on him. Well he is in a coma and hooked up to life support now. Now he has an infection around his heart. They have him on the mack daddy of Antibiotic cocktails to fight the infection. It is kind of working. Well in three weeks time they have to stop giving him the meds or his body systems will start shutting down in response to the meds.TThey cant operate to remove the infection until he comes out of the coma. It aint looking good for him. He is my favorite fishing buddy. We used to sit at work for hours and tell our tales to each other. He is extremely knowledgeable about bass fishing, and helped me learn so much about our great sport. He is the man that gave me permission to continue to fish the ponds where I used to work, and we would talk about them all the time. I feel so helpless in this situation and wish I could do something to help him. This all I can think of to do. Please help me with this.
  6. Nope dont use AR15s. They are still available down here, them and AK mags. Now 30 rd glock mags I cant find anywhere around here. The one store that sold them is completely sold out. As for the former. Thats the great thing about being in the deep south. We like our high caps, and we like our guns. Prices are up a little, but the rifles are being restocked as fast as they fly off the shelves.
  7. Awww heck. I about wet myself when I read that. Too dang funny. :D
  8. Im part blackfoot and I approve of this nickname. I had a discussion with Aubie and Big Al the other day. We three decided that the Aubie is offensive to tigers everywhere, and that 9 out of 10 elephants are offended by the way Big Al is portraying them. As a representative for these poor animals we are filing suit for name changes. We are thinking the University of Alabama Greys and The University of Auburn Light Greys. Hopefully old people wont be offended by the words grey. As for the link to the story and its comment section. I like the name The White Devils. Im curious how the mascot would look. If they were playing in a snow storm would it disappear? What would the uniforms look like? If they were all white too and it snowed would they also vanish?
  9. Guiness sponsers my rugby league. We also have a bar sponsering the team. Ice cold brews after the games and at the after party. If that beer dont look like coffee it doesnt get drunk.
  10. There is a fortune to be made in industrial contracting. You just have to have the contacts and startup capital. Residential and commercial are kind of sketchy and dont pay as well. The trade off though is that they are cheaper to start up in. Ive thought about doing that for a while now. Ive made some very good contacts, but not enough to stay busy 365. Im waiting on two other people to get ready before I go any farther on that venture. Ones a fitter and the other is a iron worker. Diversity is a key to success in contracting. Im currently studying for my gener contractors license and demolition license. Once I have acquired those and set up a llc. I will take my masters test for electrical. Then its on to two other certifications. One in PLC programming which is gonna be a 10grand investment. The other in process welding with a machine. I still have a good 2 years until that is all. Yall have definitely given me some stuff to think about.
  11. That sounds like how I want to start this off. The least amount of overhead possible. Honestly Im not a businessman, Im a contractor. I do know how to sale, and am extremely good at it. I still want to branch out, and this sounds like the hest way to start out.
  12. Thats what has kept me from starting up in the trade. That will take any and all free time, faster then this little venture Im looking at will. This would be more so my wifes company then my own. She would deal with the day to day operations and what have you. Its basically a way for her to make more than she currently is and for us to get our FFL class 3. Personally I want to continue electricianing, and intend to do just that, only with less hours of manual labor. I guess you could say this would be my side project.
  13. Depends how much your looking to spend.
  14. Yup. Lots of it too. :)
  15. It definitely is going to take time. Lots of it. From what I gather I would definitely need to start small, and work my way up. Establishing a client base seems like it is going to take me the most amount of time. Well the world was not built in a day, and neither is this venture of mine going to be either. I agree with you wholeheartedly on the customer service, I believe that is the most important part of a business.
  16. Yes she does. She knows more about them then most people do. She is extremely knowledgeable about rifles, be they semi auto, fully auto, or bolt action. Handguns she has a working knowledge of. She is also VERY good with money, budgeting, and talking with customers. Which is what she does now.
  17. That just gave me a lot to think about. Im going to do some more research on that. Thank ya sir.
  18. I was thinking a joint venture between my wife, myself, and a friend of ours. Basically the wife is gonna be running the store with me helping out as needed. Money isn't so much of an issue. This idea would be bank rolled by a wealthy friend of ours who will help us learn how to run a business. I have had a class 3 a LONG time ago that I let expire. Otherwise this is basically new to us. I just dont know if I want to jump into this right now ornor not. Gun smithing is a large part of this idea/venture. As for the ARs. I just dont see the money in stocking them. I can make more off selling a custom Remington .700 then off selling 2 say DPMS AR15 rifles. The prices on those rifles fluctuate more than the stock market does. I may very well change my mind on stocking them, but if I do they are going to be custom work and not remotely stock. Thank you for the input.
  19. Im not so much concerned with the high cap mags and AR style rifles. Those seem to come and go with the times. Every time there is even the faintest sniffle of a possible ban the prices go through the roof. Then level back off. Honestly, I think the Big Name players, have to much time and money invested in them for any form of legislation to affect them. Really I dont have much interest in buying or selling them anymore, anyway. Every gun shop on God's green earth sells them. I really want to focus more on bolt action rifles, higher end shotguns, and certain manufacturer's handguns. As well as the fishing related items. I appreciate your input and it is definitely something to think about. Thank you.
  20. Being an electrician is fun and I love it with all my heart. However, I feel the urge to branch out. Im mulling over the idea of opening a gun/fishing store. It seems like combining my 2 favorite things might be profitable for me. Ive heard through the grapevine that the big outdoor sports retailer in the area is not doing so hot right now. Mainly due to change in ownership/management. So it might be about time to start making a move on this. Plus from what I have discovered there is only one main Class 3 dealer in the area, and having a second can't be a bad thing. Forms, fees, and licensing are required and are BEYOND time consuming. Especially the FFL forms. Im just not sure if I should hold off and wait and see what the big store does or not.
  21. Could be a hernia. I dunno though Im an electricity doctor. I dont diagnose people or operate on people. Go to the doctor. Its not like your getting your prostate checked.
  22. The Bruins suck! Go Red Wings!
