  1. Least it ain't us anymore. Since Al died we are improving. Oh and as for bad picks. Hmmm. Slowlando McClain, JaWalrus, Hey-Ward Bet, that's just a couple of our first rounders from a few years back. Can't complain to much. Y'all could have had the sizurp drinking Walrus on your team.
  2. I considered them for a while. Trouble is the 10in boots they offer that are US made are 300 plus dollars. I like having lineman shanks and logger/lineman heels on my boots. The extra inch or two afforded by the heels makes a huge difference in working steel and running pipe. Once money permits I may invest in some of their US made soft toe boots.
  3. You ain't kidding.I just dropped 200 on some Hathorn fire boots. They are made by Whites. Yet are one of their cheaper offerings. I figure I might as well test em out before I drop 500 on their higher end custom made boots. More so for qualities sake. The leather is the same and the soles are the same as their high end offerings. Best part is they are American made!
  4. In with Verizon now. I get a NICE discount from work. The service is awesome. Especially for out in the country and other remote construction sites. The data is awesome as well. Least as far as having service goes. Now to beat Glen to the punch. TMobile is awesome as well. Their customer service is second to none. It is the by far best I have EVER dealt with. They truly are awesome. Service is good. As long as you are not in the middle of no where. Data is good. 4g in major cities. 3g most everywhere else, except remote locations. The new no contract plans are awesome too. When they roll out their 4g lte advance system later this year, they should become even better. I would go back to them in a heart beat.
  5. Got to use my buzz baits on Saturday. Caught 2. One went for 4.2lbs. The other 2.5lbs. It would be nice if I could find some more time to fish right now. Especially with the weather being as nice as it is right now.
  6. Naw it ain't. Come June when the temps are above 98 and the humidity will be around 80% or higher. I will be paging for this comment. Until then I intend to rub it in. However once June gets here I should be a nice bronze color.
  7. Darn 70 and 80 degree temperatures. High today a frigid 77*. Man it was 82 yesterday. I even got a tan. :D Oh the bass are biting real good right now too. In case you were curious.
  8. Didn't know there was a roofers union. Anyway. Hells yeah man. Congrats.
  9. Sorry Mark. I got carried away. Back on topic. I love the phone case. Make me one for a Droid RAZR HD.
  10. Fo shizzle slonezpizzle. I lizzle gizoogle. Its the rizzle dizzle. Wow! I haven't used early 2000's snoop speak in forever.
  11. I honestly cannot remember what the tar tar part means. We may have just used it cause it rhymed. Yet I know it had a meaning. I just can't think of it.
  12. That's funny as hell. I now have that song stuck in my head. I'm gonna be singing that all day tomorrow.
  13. Allow me to break it down for you.Gnar Gnar No Tar Tar Its a slang way of saying cool or awesome. Hence the word gnar as an abbreviation of gnarly. Which can also mean cool or radical.
  14. Hank III and uhhhh uhh. Well Hank III. "Oh my ol' dog left me lying in the rain! Then my wife got rand over when my truck rolled out in front of a train! I lost my dog my wife and my truck while lying in the rain!" Look I wrote a country song!!!
  15. My wife said she would leave me if I get this big. I said baby you can pack your bags now, or wait two more years. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8G7dT1yL3EM&feature=youtube_gdata_player This video gets me so hyped up. After the first 47 seconds is when it gets good. It makes me want to go to the gym and lift so bad.
  16. Whites Boots are supposed to be as good as the Wesco boots. Plus they cost less for custom boots and are made quicker. Also I have discussed the WESCO boots before. I'm just loving what Whites has to offer right now.
  17. I've got two pairs both of which are 15 years old now. 1 pair is 8 eyelets ox blood. The other is 20 eyelet steel toed in black. Both are were made in England. However I can't bring myself to wear those to work.
  18. That's straight up gnar gnar no tar tar.
  19. I usually drop around 250 to 300 on a pair. With the exception of the last two years. I want some Whites boots. Only draw back is it takes 9 weeks to make them, and is gonna cost me around 600 for them. Those are what I've been trying to save up for. I've done red wings, thorogoods, Carolina, danner, and all the cheaper boots. The red wings were my favorites. However the US made ones are next to impossible to find in my size. The Whites are custom tailored to my feet. And have the one of the best warrantys I have ever heard of. I'm EXTREMELY picky about where my boots are made. I just can't bring myself to drop 200 plus on Chinese boots. I feel like I'm being cheated. I do KNOW I'm NEVER buying Chinese boots again though. Im thinking I'm gonna have to cope with my holey Carolinas for another month plus the 9 week build time for the Whites.
  20. The Chinese boots are in a trench with 6ft of concrete on top of them. They won't be hears from again anytime soon. I will try the too on my Carolinas though.
  21. The week of thanksgiving I bought some new work boots. My us made Carolinas had the steel showing on the toes. Our safety man said they were not safe anymore, and I should buy some new ones. Well, those had been discontinued a few months prior to my new quest for footwear. Being strapped for cash because of the holidays, I took a family members advice. (He had been helping us get our finances straightened out) instead of getting some us made Thorogoods I saved 50 dollars and bought some Chinese ones instead. Three weeks ago the soles ripped off the bottom of the boots. The leather the soles were attached to disintegrated. Ain't that something? Thanks to my massive feet, 14ee or 15 depending on the boot. I am currently bootless. I have an old pair of Carolinas that are being held together with duct tape and gorilla glue. To tide me over until I can find/buy a suitable replacement. My current problem is hardly any manufactures sell boots in my size. The ones that due are expensive as all hell. At least for the US made boots. The question I have is. Should I wait til I can afford some quality boots? Or should I drop 100 plus on some Chinese garbage and hope for the best? Moral of the story. Never compromise your foot wear in order to save 50 bucks.
  22. 95 dollars for a brick of .22lr?! That is the most insane thing I have ever heard of! I bought a box of .17hmr two days ago for 10 dollars. Which is pretty much the same I have been paying for the last seven years. Give or take a dollar or so. I can't believe .22 could come close to that in value. All I can say is wow. Heck my brother in law paid 25 a box for critical defense 9mm two day ago. Even that seems about the same as it used to be. The Glock 17 I was looking at was still priced the same as it was before all this started. As was the Remington 700 .308 tactical with the threaded barrel.
  23. You got them homie. Stay strong and keep the faith.
  24. You could also view it this way. At least as far as customization goes. That is if that is your thing. I have 2 glock 17s that are heavily customized. Both have after market barrels. Yet that is where the similarities stop. Also one is a 17L. Slight difference in length still the same handgun. The 17L has a custom slide which is engraved as well as a engraved barrel. The end cap on the slide has been changed out as has the trigger. Also the frame has been urban digi break camo coated. The regular 17 has had the slide chromed and has been custom engraved. The slide end has been replaced as well as the trigger. It has two different after market barrels one threaded one not. The mag ends have been replaced, and the frame has been dipped in skull and smoke paint. Both were purchased new for around 500 dollars. Between the two I have over 3 grand invested in them. The value of the two are now significantly higher than what has been invested in them. In other words, the accessories and work you put into the weapon will determine what you get out of them.
