  1. I have wide feet too I found these at KOHLS width--4E on sale after my discount $27 YES!! Very good grip and comfortable New Balance 473
  2. I have a $50 BPS Wally Marshall Pro Series 9' rod. I have a $180 St Croix AVID 8' Medium-Light Moderate rod. Speaking strictly "utility" as you mention - SENSITIVITY. The AVID has much more feeback of what the lure ,worm is going over through and such. The feel of light bite/nibbles is telegraphed more so with the AVID. BACKBONE- would go to the BPS WM it is more stout a foot or so passed the grip, heaving bass over brush or pulling bass out of water I feel better with the WM where I would rather lip bass with the AVID. TIP-SECTION In my experience the AVID tip section is stronger than my WM. I ride my bike to get around a lake and a couple times, while Im peddling alond, the tip of the AVID has made contact with the path and bent knocking pole out of my hand once surprizingly not breaking. My WM tip broke when loading it into my vehicle the tip hit the rear head-rest support and snapped the 1st 4" off. Now for light weight/ balance it goes to the AVID. Having fished both at the same time the AVID just "feels" better more comfortable giving like an AHH moment when using the AVID directly after the WM. Ive used a Stradic FI 1000 on both these with PowerPro 10/2 the guides are fine no issues in this area. Here some pics of fish caught with my AVID rod
  3. This popped into my mind Movie- The Warriors; Song- In The City, Joe Walsh http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbdW0Qt0tLI And this, I wouldn't say its the best but I like it. Movie - Over The Edge; Song- Ooh Child http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01Wa2RrzZfk&feature=related
  4. The ones you went through were any of them the "Jasper" model? Last DEC I got my kids a 360 and made sure to get the Jasper with the better chip/power supply thing? Not a hiccup once. For sure the model you just got has it.
  5. 6½ # is my guess :-/ Whatever thats a nice fish
  6. I received 2 Koppers Live Target Frogs 65T size Green/Yellow & Black/Brown. I wont get to fish with them for a while but here are a few things I notice compared to my SPRO frogs, Scumfrog Trophy/Bigfoot. First the "rubber" is a bit softer than the SPRO. If I had to put a relevance to it I would say 25% softer, easier to squish the Koppers frog top/bottom side/side. On my Scumfors the Scumfrog rubber is even softer than the Koppers. Hooks- One of the hooks on the Koppers Green/Yellow is not sharp at all. I can run my index finger over it and the hook wont grab at all. The hook on the other side is a bit better but not great. The hooks on the Brown/Black frog are noticeably sharper but still not as sharp (not far behind) as the hooks on my used SPRO frog. The SPRO frog hooks will grab my skin with a light touch to them, with the Koppers it takes just a slight bit more pressure. I would say the hooks on my Scumfrogs are sharper than the Koppers as well. Skirts-Cant really tell any difference between the Koppers and SPRO. They are the same length and have same feel. Thats about all I have without getting to try them, here are a few pics.
  7. Braid (PP) on all my reels baitcasters, underspin, spincast, spinning. Had used braid for a few years then had a bad idea to try Trilene XL again on a spinning reel (stradic). Nothing but coiling and line twist. I put braid back on a week later.
  8. If I remember its 2-3 years.
  9. If I remember its 2-3 years.

  11. That start today 11/23/10? I called in an order today but didn't get 20% off my items. >
  12. Here is the lake I visit most. It is shore fishing only no live bait but nightcrawlers. A 1/8oz blue/black jig w/baby rage-tail craw worked well the little number of times I used one. Fished there for years but never used a jig till a couple months ago. Looking forward to this coming spring to see what the jig will do.

  15. I too say Shimano Stradic FI. I have used one for a couple years now and very pleased with it. I have the smaller 1000 size havent had any durability issues at all but then I hardly ever catch bass over 18"
  16. Redlinerobert that snake looks like it just ate something?
  17. I use ReelMagic with my spincast & underspincast reels that have powerpro and it makes quite a noticeable difference in casting ease-distance. Without the spray the coating on the line would build-up on the catch pins then cause sticking. One quick spray every few outings does the trick. Dont use it on my baitcasters or spinning reels though or for lube of bearings.
  18. This bird hangs around quite often.
  19. Oh you should have went back and bought every Loomis rod they had for that price put them on sale here for $150
  20. I got 2/0 EWG hooks. I tried the baby craw set-up today I didnt get anything. I tried SPRO frog, jig/craw, shaky worm nothing. Tried for gills with waxies even that was sloooww. I managed one 6" bass with waxworm. 75 bright blue skies very little wind very clear water =tuff.
  21. OK Ill be heading to GndrMtn with this info see what they have.
  22. Been using the Baby Craw as a jig trailer but thinking of trying it alone. What size and type of hook to match it with? THANKS
  23. Ill take your side. 1st I usually only get 2hrs if lucky 3hrs, 3-4 times a week so 4hrs would be like a vacation . I take one pole one lure and my bike to this 26acre lake. There are lots of nice spots but I try 5 or so and stay at each only about 20minutes 40 if catching them, hop on bike get to the next spot 200 yrds away and on the far back stretch of lake. The bike gets me to the better spots saving about 20 minutes over walking.
