  1. Tried a few presentations Thumper, Anaconda, Rage Toad they werent wanting anything but switched to crawlers and started catching them. Here the 2 cats and 2 of the few bass
  2. Back in January Dicks had a sale on St Croix Premier rods I got 6'6" MH Fast and a 4'6" UL Mod spinning rods for $23.50 EACH.
  3. So the #6 size worked well for you. I was going to use #4 thought it might be too small but see it should be fine.
  4. I own all brands on the list but chose other, Pinnacle is my favorite.
  5. Any of you ever actually see a bass follow your bait, while the bait is in the air? On my little local lake water clarity is pretty clear. Too, the bank is angled so at places my eyelevel is above the water 10-12 feet looking into the water and can see/spot bass very easily. Well this morning I switched from senko to nightcrawler. See a bass coming from the right so aim worm out farther and ahead to reel back in to meet the bass (well planned to) and as the worm was still in the air I clearly see the bass change direction(turn a bit right) speed-up right to the worm, no sooner did the worm hit water and the bass snapped it up. Ive actually have seen this a number of times so just wondering if others have seen as well.
  6. Here is my 8 year old pond-hopper take it with me every time I go to the local 26acre lake. Only ride the trails here in town about 2-3 times a year.
  7. Yep grass and weeds about the only "structure" so to speak in my fav lake. I use 10#PP with 8' ML Mod rod. Like dmac14 toss to open pocket. This little one just on the other side of that weed bloom I see bass around this often. Ive pulled quite the amount of weeds in with 10# pp and fish attatched
  8. Picked me up a pair of PIT BULL's by Oakley with the Black Iridium Polarized lens. These are also the latest frame with the fishing specific deep/shallow blue lens. They are a big frame with a nice big section of UNOBTANIUM on each handle/stem for a secure fit even while sweating. I went fishing this morning and its hot/humid here 90+ I had sunscreen on and sweating a lot but these stayed on not a bit of slip. http://www.oakley.com/products/6725 This pic here you can see just were the leash is and back the amount of UNOB like 2-1/2" x 1/4" at least. Caught this little guy spotted it hangin next to a fishcrib.
  9. I think he has the glass though he did write "580 p glass" which was a bit confusing the 580P lens is plastic.
  10. Thats the main reason I stayed away from glass I read quite a few reports(over months and months and months of research) of the COSTA glass breaking even on minimal distance falls like yours. They do now have 580P plastic lens but not in mirrored styles. I actually tried the Permit and would have bought those but for the breakage. Im not easy on glasses drop squish bang hit them often so went plastic but another brand. All I can advise is get a COSTA leash they are nice and will give that extra protection from drops/falling.
  11. Here are weights for carrot stix & Gold. http://www.carrotstix.com/catalog/e21_carrot_stix_the_original.htm http://www.carrotstix.com/catalog/e21_carrot_stix_21_carrot_gold.htm To toss this out My Quantum Smoke 7' Med Fast rod is lighter (3.4oz) than the carrot or gold in as close a model as I saw. The sensitivity is real close if not on par with my St Croix Avid rod. It is more sensitive than my Premiers for sure. I like the Smoke very much. I couldnt find the weight of the micro guide carrots.
  12. SPECIAL EDITION BAMA BUG SENKO wacky rigged been scorching 'em with this at a nearby 26acre lake. This lake has very little hard structure mostly weeds find an open pocket and aim for it get a couple/few.
  13. /\ Thanks I have both Anaconda & Thumper havent tried them yet. that article helped.
  14. The camera you have does it come with a disc that may have a basic editing section? My Canon cane with this called zoombrowzer. Oh I see you have Photobuctet they have a basic editor. You need to look at the bottom of the your "MyHome" you should see under SUPPORT a "tools" option click that then you will see the "image editor" to the right. You selet a picture to edit then you see a selection of editing options, you want, resize.
  15. Have you checked your hooks to make sure they are sharp? One of my Koppers frog had dull hooks the other was better but not as sharp as my SPRO frog hooks.
  16. I have the 7' MED FAST. I havent used it much yet due to weather/work. The litte I have(2 hours)I havent caught a fish. I tossed an 1/8oz jig and the feedback from hitting litte rocks was noticeable. I tried a SK KVD Squarebill 1.5 and could really feel the wobble on that lure. Havent tried a spinner on it yet. FYI I weighed mine and it is 3.45oz.
  17. Well I sprung for a pair but I got the GUIDE model not the STERN model. The STERN model let in a bit of light on the outer-bottom corner. The GUIDE model basically closed-off the sides with a better comfortable but snug fit. The GUIDE also comes with a leash(strap)that really neatly snaps into each handle and swivels so not interferring with the way the glasses fit. Too the strap has a sliding adjuster with REVO on both sides a nice touch. The Water Lens(Blue) has 10% light transmission. From what little use I gave them, so far so good. I was out with the Revo and my Oakley with Black Iridium Polarized lens. I put both on moving each up/down up/down and detail, being able to see into the water was the same. I saw the bedding bass equally well. The Revo Water lens has a slightly different color (as viewing throught the lens) I saw from the Black lens of the Oakley but then still it was slight. It was rather warm 84 and humid I sweat some but the glasses never slipped a bit. They didnt fog-up but it can get hotter more humid so cant say for certain how well they perform in this area. The styling I think, and my wife too, is great they look slick with the blue reflective coating. This model is one of the VERY few that fit as my wife calls my spongebob squareface. REVO GUIDE http://www.revo.com/models/65-sterntm#/models/66-guidetm Here a pic showing the leash attatchment point and the REVO that you see is the rubber pad that helps hold the glasses to your head better.
  18. I can toss a 1/12oz SK Bitsy Minnow 35-40 feet on my Pinnacle BC & 7' Med Fast SMOKE rod
  19. Finally found a pair of sunglasses that fit me perfectly--REVO STERN. Seems to have a lot of nice features. Would like any feedback if you have owned a pair or read/heard any positive or negative issues with the brand? THANKS http://www.revo.com/models/65-sterntm
  20. At the lower right of my screen on windows there is the "zoom" setting usually shows 100%. Click it and the zoom goes to 125% click again goes to 150%. Does your have this?
  21. There looks to be another fishing specific coming out the PIT BULL 5-1-11 http://www.oakley.com/products/6726/25080
  22. Well Im not sure but here are some baits with manufactures rating and my actual weight with digital scale I use in the lab at work. SK Bitsy Minnow rated .125oz my actual .0834 SK KVD Sq Bill 1.5 rated .375oz my actual .40275 Koppers Live Target Frog rated .625oz my actual .6489 SPRO Bronzeye Frog rated .625oz my actual .5731
  23. Have you seen this page on the Oakley site it give a "view" of each lens for different scenes. http://www.oakley.com/innovation/optical-superiority/lens-tints
  24. My pair (Wardens) has the Black Iridium Polalized and I like that lens a lot. My eyes are pretty light sensitive and these were great for my eyes in bright full sun skys. The down for that though was yeah around 6pm the darkness of the lens would make it seem 8:30pm. Another down but might be my fault the coating started peeling off after 3 years. I used my shirt quite often to clean the lens which I quess is a no-no need to use the softer microfiber cloth. Ive been looking for another pair/brand and most likely will get Oakley again cant find another brand that fits me well--MauiJim, Costa, Revo. I like the Oakley TEN that fit great and is ok price. The JAWBONE fits as well but costly and you can change lens in that one. What frame you interested in?
