  1. do you have any warm water discharge places such as powerplants near you? drop offs , fish slow. This is cut and pasted from the Southern NH thread this morning. i did get out on Cobbetts yesterday. I brought minimal gear 3 rods, and I really only needed 1. The fish as expected were on the deep water drops, near flats and points. Small soft plastics were the ticket on a heavier jig head, as would be expected. No fish on the jig or the blade, which was a little unexpected. I boated 13 LMB and partner boated 17 for total of 30. In recap it was a great day on the water for the second week of December. The weather was actually very nice. Water temps started the day at 37F by the end of the day it warmed upto 39F.
  2. Very nice, glad to see i am not the only one out there. I have been in the Nashua river.
  3. less pressure, no yahoos , more relaxed fishing, dress warm, enjoy the atmosphere.
  4. I have been pretty busy with hockey almost every morning for the past month. And a new Granddaughter now 8 days old. I managed to get out in the canoe this morning for 2 hours before work. and last Wed night for 1/2 hour from shore.

  12. it was dark and the pic did not come out too well. it was either 20 1/2 or 21 1/2 Like most i did not take the time to weigh. If she felt like a 6+ i would have weighed her. she was not that fat but did fight well. I really like the night fishing like this. zero noise, except for the blub blub blub of the jitterbug, and the hit. almost no visibility so you have to know where you are fishing. i try not to use a light except for taking the fish off the hook. black noisy double colorado bladed spinners and ripping the buzz baits. both i use a trailer hook and if i can i use a big treble trailer hook. the jitterbug i usually go slow with but that night slow was getting nothing so i went faster, and then faster.
  13. went and threw my jitterbug for about 15 minutes tonight
  14. Ditto !!! I am still in search of a 6 1/2+ I have fished only in NH Maine bass fishes and posts a lot from VT and Maine and he has some real nices places. 15. nice ,,,,i will get a couple of mine up tomorrow
  16. Great , if you and Shane get together this weekend, please go to Maine or VT.... I would like to catch some fish in NH and i dont want you 3 including Jitterbug catching all the fish.
  17. Its almost over , anyone have any to post. Only a few months left in the yr, Maine has been kicking our butts the past 2 months, can you do the Hat trick Nate?
  18. Nate , even if you post it from Maine or Vt --- I / we will still drool over it. Shane has been quiet this yr as has Jitterbug, school and/or work keep getting in the way for them.
  19. Can you apply for a permit to carry concealed in IL? Cant go wrong by having it, even if you dont need it. Here in NH if you do not have a permit to carry it must be in the wide open view, even if you drop a fishing rag over it while it is sitting on top of your fishing bag, without a conceal permit you would be considered illegal. A permit is easy to obtain here in NH. MA is a different story.
  20. Not sure where, but i am going to try to get out there tomorrow morning. Sorry no idea on Canobie. Gotta be down her in Nashua , Hollis , Hudson area. Will figure it out before i leave at 5 am tomorrow morning.
  21. The small one and the 3 biggest ones. last couple days and 1 night. I have been pretty inactive fishing this past month, but hockey has been good almost every day.
  22. Speed , what waters are you fishing? and yes , check out the southern nh thread as well as who wants in , fish by length contests. there is tons and tons of info on the southern nh thread.
  23. I will fish as long as its not frozen, Cant fish this weekend though as we are on an anniversary vacation. No hockey , No fishing. quietness, the beach somewhere at the Cape, lots of food , and night time entertainment. The wife has made all the arrangements and i have no complaints.
  24. A hair more than 21 inch. I didn't take the time to weigh her accurate. She hit my 4 inch flatfish hard. I was fishing it fast cutting across Mt William pond. I am guessing she was down about 20 feet deep and I had a lot of line out. I was trying to fish as well as stretch out my line and reel it back so I had almost all the line out. I am guessing she was at the 4 1/2 to 5 lb area.
