  1. Thank You, i googled California Delta and gave me lots of info on the area. I will contact Bobby Barrack. Thank You very much. I hope to find a new personal best while i am out there where they grow big fish. our state record is less than 1/2 the size of Californias.
  2. I am going to Sacramento with my Wife for the kids graduation in mid June.(about the10th to 20th) Our Largemouth New Hampshire State record is 10-8 , my personal is 6-7. Hope to catch bigger while i am in California. How is the Bass fishing in the Sacramento area? Would there be anywhere to rent a yak or canoe and do some bass fishing for a day ? Would i be better off fishing for another species? i am looking for ideas and help. any and all info is appreciated.
  3. Naticook should have some bigger fish this year. last yer was lots of 2lbers the yr before lots of small ones. should be some good size to some this year, it is definitely on the rebound. Horseshoe in Merrimack seems to be in a slump.
  4. wheels and 4x4 come from the Nashua dump. i tried a 2x4 but it flexed too much when loaded down when used with the red tank. probably 200 lbs+ canoe 95lbs , battery 55lbs , troller 20 lbs , anchors , gear , beer etc.... the old yak with the wheels for traveling. this is the heavy set. the tank with the wheels , i try to balance so their is almost no tough weight. this is the heavy anchor 17 inch brake rotor. zero dragging. right now this is set up for a solo. i wheeled thru the parking lot and down the road to fish silver lake in hollis. axles are pulled out on the wheels and replaced with 10 inch lag bolts. the cut out in the middle is for the keel to sit in.
  5. Mike.---- some pics of how i did my 2 canoes. One is a 17ft old town 95lb tank 2 seater. The other is my new 33lb old town pack 12 solo seater. They are set up almost the same. I will be changing the set up on the old one to be more like the new one. I am 8 small largemouth and 6 pickerel into 2015. Nothing bigger than 2 lbs. All on the bottom. Weightless white and dark craws and creatures. Painfully slow. All in the Nashua river. Early mornings. 3 rod holders , raised up a little bit for a little more leg room , bolt and nut drilled thru with wingnut to hold monitor , i used a shelf bracket to mount the transducer on. a 5/16 3 inch bolt thru the side rail hold the transducer as a pivot. wing nut allows me to tighten it up when down or up and it stays in place for me but pivots it hits something. it works for me. i hve the same basic set up on my 17 footer. -- i use a sealed cell 12 volt small battery to run my humminbird , when i do not have the big battery and trolling motor. the new canoe at 33lbs is for light weight portability to get to some remote water. it actually weights 15 lbs less than my yaks did , is just as stable , but gives me more room and options. I can use the trolling motor on it or just paddle it. I have a hefty wheel set i made out of a 4x4 and 20 inch bicycle wheels for the big one. i can load it full for 2 people complete with 50 lb battery and trolling motor. , I also made a lightweight wheel set for the new one to carry the very simple basics. it also shows a 10 lb weight for the anchor. when i need to be light weight to travel i do not use those anchors. I carry 2 small mesh bags i fill with a few rocks after i get where i need to go. I have anchors front and rear.
  6. if i see one , you will see me going the other way.
  7. got out on the river today. kayaks are gone, jon boat is gone, just have the trailer left.
  8. Nice day today, that should help a lot
  9. The 16 ft deep hull with the 25 hp is not for sale. Its going to get used a lot.
  10. selling/sold both my Kayaks and my jon boat. Just listed my jon boat trailer. Just picked up my new solo 33lb Old Town Pack12. 17lbs lighter than my kayaks were. More room more comfortable and standable for fishing. I used it yesterday for the first time. Can also put my troller motor on it if i needed to but its for light ,quick, easy. Will be setting it up similiar to my 16 ft 25 yr old 3 person, old town heavyweight canoe. at 33lbs i can carry it almost anywhere. including front and rear anchors when wanted and my hummingbird 698. i also now have a 16 ft deep v-hull on a trailer with a 25 hp motor. complete flat deck. its old but it works.
  11. Thats cool. I am on an old basic slow computer. Might not be loading enough for me to see it too well. Can it zooom anywhere in new england?
  12. I agree with that for sure. I wouldalso add weightless craw or lizard. Painfully slow. Anywhere you can find some dropoffs Or stickups. Also in the bright sun early fish from the Shadow to the warm spots. You might catch them sunning and warming.
  13. MainelyBass. What area are you from? Whats the water temp there?
  14. Most everything down here in Southern NH is wide open and fishable. Water temps this morning were 41ish degrees. I fished the sunny areas. Fishing is slow as expected, but if you can find them now and get them to bite, it will make you that much better once the water hits 50+ and they wake up a little more. Hopefully it will hit 55 degrees water temps soon. That seems to be a magic # for me.
  15. Mill pond is the one to the right of the rink. The boat launch is as you turn onto Conway arena near the police station. You can walk that complete pond. In the river there are lots of stumps and underwater logs and trees to the left behind the soccer fields. you will loose some hooks back there, but thats where the fish are. The water there is still 41 degrees. once it hits 55+ the fishing will pick up. The fishing has been really slow this year with the weather. Also if you fishing out in the Stellos area and around the Mill pond, you should bring a buddy (or your dad) with you. There are a few not so nice people that sometimes hang around there. Better to be safe. Especially if you are there early before sun up , or late night. The late night topwater fishing is usually really good once that water hits 60+ degrees. It gets weeded in pretty good so the fishing gets tougher thru those weeds.
  16. Plenty of shore fishing. Just walk the area. You will find plenty of places to shore fish.. Walk quietly. If you know the ramp area Just go left. You can go all around there. All behind the soccer field. You can walk completely around the Mill pond also. There are some nice fish in there also.
  17. nothing open yet , except for the rivers.
  18. white , black , perch
  19. i experimented with fish brain but was not impressed. it does have some uses. I was getting alerts at all times of the night. I leave my phone on 24/7/365 for emergencies. no open water i know of , except the rivers. and i am on the mass/nh border in Nashua.
  20. Nashua river off Tilton st in Nashua Is your best bet. Merrimack river is flowing too hard for me down this area. the bow power plant area is slower moving also nashua river behind clocktower
  21. The only thing open are the 2 rivers
  22. Exactally. If no one takes , i would.
  23. Yea, do toss that old or used stuff. I will take it if no one else does. it gets reused to make new.
