  1. The rage bug that Shane turned me onto has been great.
  2. Stevens is the pond off the highway you see towards exit 9 in Manchester. Nutts pond is behind Wendys
  3. much of this has been caught with rage bugs or white craws and these are my colors top water at night , black 4 inch brokentail jitterbug , i also use a 5 inch white topwater rat.
  4. I have not been able to get a lot of fishing in this season , but these have been my go to rubber stuff and these are my go to colors. i really really like the white. its worked well for me. rage bugs rage craws and space monkeys and my favorite white baby craws and craws , i wish they made the pearl white in the rage lobster.
  5. nice pics there of some nice fish. I am hopefully finally getting out tomorrow. Been playing hockey every morning, too many banged up goalies. I have been filling in and getting way too much ice time and not enough fishing time. That and a 10 day trip to Cali for one of the kids graduating from U.C. Davis.
  6. i have about 50 used pieces so far. craws with no claws , beat up worms etc... etc... many brands. i know some of you melt them down. should easily have 100 pieces in another month or so. will save you a bucket full.
  7. on flints pond in hollis nh , they have sections of a pool noodle cut up and anchored with a brick as markers. several different colors.
  8. Naticook in Merrimack ? Its small and does have some decent size fish now, it is on the upswing. search and you will find them. white , purple and green colors have worked well for me. i cannot just give away the spots i have worked hard finding. but....look for , tree overhangs , dam outlet , and the old boat launch.
  9. there are some spots over at the golf course you can fish the main river and the little ponds. i do not really know that area.
  10. that stinks , Where there is a will, there is a way.
  11. If anyone is looking for something , plain , simple , light , easy. There is an Old Town Pack 12 ft on Craigslist. Its in Goffstown. Made of Royalex material , Its the same thing i purchased over the winter. at only 33 lbs it is lighter than yaks, more stable , cheaper cost than most, and BULLET PROOF.... easier than a sit on top or sit in yak. You could get it for $500. They do not make this material anymore with the introduction of new materials , but the new materials are much more expensive and in my opinion not as durable. It weighs less than a sportspal or radisson and is much more durable. I stand in mine and fly fish , its that stable. Just thought i would throw it out there when i saw it. Dont see many of them. so light and easy to put on a car roof too. this is my complete set up with troller motor this is without the troller, stripped down without the fish finder and small battery mine hits 34lbs. complete with fish finder ,deck , paddle and lifejackets i am still under 40lbs including the battery for the fish finder.
  12. nice work guys. i got out for 2 hours Monday morning in my solo canoe. rage bugs (brown light blue , dark blue , dark green and light green all worked well, those and my white mouse on top. 14 total but nothing bigger than 2 1/2 lbs
  13. he blew his chance to be famous with a new NH State record.
  14. i latched onto this one in the river 2 yrs ago
  15. Night time jitterbugging time. dark night in the trees down to some water , calm water, completely silent except for some car noise till this guy. stopped on my way home from Loudon at a little spot i found off the highway thru some trees. A lot -a real lot- of small 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 lb bass this yr. and a lot of aggresive 15 - 20 inch pickerel. This was my first night time , had only about 1/2 hour to fish , was worth the trek thru the trees to get there. a lot of fish so far this year on weightless craw and creature baits. rage craws , bugs , and space monkeys. hitting them after i am twitching them , not during the drop.
  16. wiley x echo are my choice. i cannot comment on the other choices of other people as i have never used them. https://www.wileyx.com/EcommSuite/ProductDetail.aspx?ActivityCode=OUTDOORS&SeriesCode=559&ProductLine=956,CCECH&ItemCode=CCECH01 wiley x echo polarized , removable insert keeps the light out from behind and the side. mine are awesome. under $90 including freight. try to find local so you can try them on. see how they fit and feel. my 2 cents
  17. water all weekend was 54 - 56 here in the Nashua area. Pickerel were very active, Bass not so much yet for me.
  18. these guys were very aggressive today , the bass should be right behind them.
  19. I will be on my river for sure..... mebisho , call Granite state rod and reel in Nashua.
  20. biggest one so far this yr. not a very good pic,
  21. did some adjusting to the new solo 32 lb canoe today, moved the the anchor cleats to fit me a little better , slid the rod holders over a bit , added a cup holder , and raised the platform 2 inches to give me a bit more leg stretching room, and raised the seat 1 inch. Also pulled apart the trolling motor , replaced the switch and added a longer and heavier cable (no voltage drop)so it will reach the battery in the front of the canoe. Stripped down with no motor , battery or anchors still weighs just under 37 lbs. I should be able to carry it easier than the yaks i had last year that weighed closer to 50lbs. This Old Town Pack 12 is way more comfortable than the yaks. and it is stable enough to stand in. Going to get myself a 6 ft paddle to make it a bit easier when standing.
  22. a pond in the sun, so the water is a tad warmer than last weekends outing where it was not even 50.
  23. Well put Nate. there are some really nice fish in some small kayak, canoe water, and no motor water. cartop and carry in places. and there is a lot of that type of water.
  24. Thank You , i am doing some online research with the info. looks like i can get a full day fishing for under 400 $. complete with a boat , guide , lesson , help etc. Having never fish anywhere but here in NH hoping to break my P.B. .... A double digit would be awesome, but i will happy with a new best. Actually i will be happy just getting out for a full day, and having a good time.
