  9. The sound a jitterbug makes as it is reeled in in almost total darkness with no other sounds is awesome. The sound of a jitterbug being nailed by a 4 3/4 lb lmb in that near total darkness is simply amazing. The sound of me crying because my cellphone camera is dead from my son playing games on it all night , is not so amazing :'( :'(
  10. nix , we went thru litchfield on albourque right onto pinecrest? right onto wiley ? i think it may be over by the soccer fields but across the street. i have been to the soccer fields water hole , and there are definatly bass and pickerel in there Last year we were there a few times and were catching small bass with top water popr and a small jitterbug. Sunday we parked under some powerlines then crossed the street and walked thru the woods for about 10 minutes to a roundish pond. we caught smallies - as in small bass (my mistake - guess i wasnt thinking when i typed smallies) hope that helps i didnt make it over to lovewell this morning good chance ill make it sun or mon coming up i am going to make it out today though , crooked pond this afternoon around 2:30 my boys will be there around 4
  11. kevin, i drove by the jersey barriers on the side of the road last night but it was dark. is that the entrance to lovewell pond ? thru those 10 or 12 jersey barriers down what looks like an old road , right off of main dunstable. no boat for me if i make it tomorrow but i have waders , can i fish from the shore with or without waders? is it worth a try with no boat?
  12. caught 10 smallies yeterday at this little pond my buddy too me to. not sure i can find it again , off of wiley hill in londonderry , threw the woods for a 10 minute walk and boom. there it is biggest one was only a little over a pound , but we were only there for a little over an hour. I think i will try lovewell on wed morning a little before 6 Kevin ,how was the drag to get the kayak to the water ? Did you get or muddy to get to the water?

  17. Some info on Milfoil contact person for mill pond. I am not available to make a call during normal working hours at this time due to work being too busy this time of year. In the next 2 weeks things will slow a little bit and i will have some free time during the day for nonwork related stuff. Any one else care to make an initial contact? This is what i received from from my friend at DES Concord when i asked for some help. She at this time is to busy to help us but gave us this contact info Amy Smagula, Exotic Species Coordinator, 603-271-2248. She can point you in the right direction for methods, possibly funding sources , info , help etc. Be nice to her, she is an extremely nice person and should be able to help you

  20. I will check out the merr river launch on my way home. It was clear yesterday You may possibly have the wrong entrance. Right at the store coming from downtown , at the bottom of the hill go left for 300 feet and take a right , go over the railroad tracks and take another right (dirt road with open gate) follow it straight to the end it then curves and turns back the same distance and you are at the water. ill drive by tonight if i remember
  21. I dont know who , but a few guys were putting in 2 flat bottom boats this morning about 5:30 at mill pond as i was rolling in for my hockey game.
  22. Welcome to the group. I am kinda new here too. Lots of reading and learning still to go.
  23. I made it to horseshoe pond in merrimack this morning with the grandson ( 6 yr old) We had a surprisingly great morning considering at 8 am the parking lot was full. Had to split the truck and trailer to park. 8 bass in less than 2 hours and we never lost sight of the truck and boat trailer. We never made it around the corner. All bass were less than 2 1/4 but but nothing smaller than 1 1/2 A fun morning to have a 6 yr old with me. The old black and silver flat fish was working well this morning. I never even tried to practice / continue to learn fishing with rubber worms and lizards. Big night crawlers for the little guy. Not one pickerel, i was hoping the little guy was gonna find a big one. Lots of kibbies for the little guy.
  24. county stores in milford has them , i saw it last week near the check out counter. i also saw them at petes gun / tackle in hudson. i almost bought a new one to replace my 20 yr old one
