  2. awesome guys thank you very much i started plastics last year lots of great help for me too
  3. I am kind of new to this also. I asked the same question. there are a few videos posted on this site but also a site called youtube that some showed me has many videos.
  4. I had extra time last night sitting around doing nothing and looked around on this site. wow Those are some nice fish you guys have been catching and posting lately I need lessons, lots of them !!! and i am doing some research and saving some $ to put a fish finder onto my 12 ft jon boat.I think i want one with side sonar. make sense? I picked up a used (almost for free) one that tells me depth and temp. From reading they have come a long way since this thing was made. And i am also finding out that i need to buy a pair of polarized glasses.
  5. I am not too much computer savvy . I cannot figure out how to post pics that are on my computer or on another site such as photobucket. How do i size them ? I did a search on help and didnt find any.
  6. Hit up Naticook yesterday in the little jon boat (Sunday with no Sun) for about 1 1/2 hours 5 pickerel 1 small bass. Made it to Mill pond (2 1/2 hours) this morning also in the jon boat and had a big zero. I know there are fish there but i couldnt find em. What areas of Mill pond have been productive for you guys? Anyone fished down the canal at Mill pond? water temp was at 62 The milfoil / weeds are really growing well lots of them just below the surface already Anyone had any luck at Stump pond in Amherst. Any other ponds i should be trying in the Nashua area. Lately i get about a 3 hour total window including travel time. Typically 5 am to 8 am Behind fidelity in Merrimack? and Swan pond in Merrimack ?
  7. Kevin, If i can figure out how to post a pic you'll see the little guys i caught this morning. Between 6:30 and 8 this morning. Just before the bridge that goes over the hwy on the right heading towards Merr. They have been doing a bunch of work. Not one fish over 1 1/4 but 19 of these little largemouth in 1 1/2 hour or so. Most of them on a small topwater hula popper. I cannot figure out how to post a pic Will have to have the kids help me. zero pickerel this morning ....
  8. i do not believe it is legal to put a canoe in the pennichuck. no boats no waders nothing
  9. I think most people who fish at the bridge right on tinker road use worms, kids with real worms and bobbers and adults with rubber stuff. I never catch anything on rubber stuff there. My thinking is the fish are seeing way too much of them and are smart enough to leave them alone. I fish there with spinners , buzz baits and flat fish as well as top water popr and jitterbugs after the sun goes down. I live less than 2 minutes down the road so i get there there very frequently. When the lilly pads fill everything in i pull out a small white scum frog and just twich it extremely and boringly slow right thru the pads. As long as you dont mind pickerel too much youll find bass. probably 3 or 4 pickerel to 1 bass. Someone with more experience fishing than me will get better results i am sure. Also if driving towards Merrimack from Nashua on Tinker road take a right down the dead end there are spots on both sides of the road. I go there when there are people at the bridge. I mostly fish the right side of the bridge if you are heading towards Merrimack.
  10. Lost mt biggest largemouth ever tonight about 8:30. Fishing at the bridge in the Pennichuck in Nashua on Tinker road with a pretty good size spinner i just bought. I managed to get it all the way in. I figured it was another big pickerel, it didnt jump at all it just pulled, till i got it in close enough to net it and reach for the net i saw it was a huge bass. I decided to instantly reached down to grab it by the mouth and as i pulled it up 1/2 out of the water abiut 6 inches away from it i broke the line. It would have easily been by far my biggest fish ever. It was at least as big as the one my buddy got last year on the opposite side of the Pennichuck which was huge.
  11. I have been doing some online research for videos. I want to learn how to use rubber worms, lizards and other plastics much more effectively. I started to learn last year and actually caught a few, LOST MANY MORE THAN I CAUGHT. Can anyone recommend any particular website or online videos. I see many at places like cabelas.com bass, pro.com but i cant spend 235$ on 4 video's that say they will teach me everything. especially when there are 80 different videos.. Thank you in advance for any help.
  12. Chestnut pond in Chichester,,, added to my list of places i didnt know about. possibly may try it this weekend or next wed. i will also try turee one of these times. I fish turtle a bunch and it was very good to me last year. My 12 yr old has had great luck there also. The last big fish i caught was off the shore into the lilly pads to the left of the boat ramp. Late october last year 4 lb 2 oz. She was a big girl and suprised me to be so big right there. I have recently returned to fishing in the past 2 years. as a close to 50 yr old so many of the past years have just been taken away by other life things.
  13. Anyone fished Hoit rd marsh in concord? I burned an hour on the shore yesterday but had zero luck. I threw lizards, worms ,spinners and some topwater. Boringly slow. How about Bass at Hot Hole pond in Concord.
  14. do it as a team , for for some reason we catch a lot then we can split it up. but i wont plan on that happenning
  15. I will post mine and my 12 yr old sons. I think the 17 yr old is done hanging around with dad now that he has his own truck, a job , and many friends with no truck. Seems like the only time i see him is at the dinner table and at 9:15 when he must be home everynight.
  16. Where for Black Crappie in Southern New Hampshire. We live in Nashua but get to fish a lot thru Manchester and Concord / Loudon area as well. My 12 yr old also loves to catch Pickerel. We have a canoe and a small jon boat.
  17. I tried the canal in nashua this morning behind the millyard and had no luck. I am thinking i might try naticook in the morning (1st time this year there) or behind the diner in amherst on route 101 in the canoe, anyone ever been there in amherst?
  18. My 12 yr old son loves to catch Pickerel. The bigger the better but any will do. Where are the best places to catch pickerel. We fish between Nashua and the Concord , Loudon , areas of Southern New Hampshire. We have a canoe and a small 12 ft jon boat. He also loves to catch Black Crappie. Ideal places for them?
  19. I have not fished it this year. but fished it several times (maybe 7 times)in the past 2 years. Many bass at the 1 1/2 - 2 lb range and lots of pickerel Never anything bigger than 2 1/4 for me. Always catch fish everytime i go there. I am still getting familiar to fishing with rubber worms and lizards and missing more than i catch. I am comfortable fishing topwater and most of the fish i catch come from the top. This year so far as been the same except i have been hitting a lot of pickerel for the last 3 weeks or so but no bass. The only bass i have this year have been on small green lizards and those have only been small fish. The pickerel have had some good size. My 12 yr old loves to catch those pickerel. He has 2 over 21 inch so far this year
  20. 12 ft jon boat and canoe also have waders. Where are my best chances for Smallies. I live in Nashua and travel thru Manchester to Concord / Loudon area every week. Suggestions ? Also my 12 yr old loves to catch big pickerel. Suggestions of best places for big pickerel.
  21. Water temp was 53 - 56 depending on where we were on Turtle pond.
  22. My 12 yr old and i hit Turtle pond in Concord for 2 hours late wed in the jon boat. We had fun but had no fish.
  23. Bow Lake is fun. I have had good luck there. I have had good luck around the islands in the smaller part of the lake. Lots and lots of rocks. I have not fished the big part of the lake a lot as i have only a 12 ft jon boat. I have had great luck there with a black flatfish with silver spots. Easily my favorite lure to throw there. Although i have not been there yet this year.
  24. Thank You a ton of info and help.
