  5. Trailer hook. I've just started putting them on my spinners and buzz baits and my hook up ratio has gone up. i started adding a treble trailer hook on my spinnerbaits and buzzbaits. using a small piece of clear rubber tube to hold it on. grabs weeds but also grabs more fish. i put a real small piece of real soft clear rubber tube over the eye of the treble hook then take take and put the spinnerbait hook through the tube then eye and out the other side of the tube helps keep it straight and wont come off
  6. Sent the pics in to the state. They just sent me a Trophy Fish Patch and certificate. They told me i should have kept it to get it certified. Close to if not a state record. I did not have a digital scale, not a certified one. Definatly was longer , weight was a question. They sent my son a patch also. He caught one at Turtle pond a few weeks before mine that was 17 1/2" and 2 1/2 lbs We sent in his pics with info. Pretty cool for him.
  7. Jigfishn10 --- Last Week He Was 3 LBS! Hit the zoom button on your keyboard She will be 3 lbs again
  8. You have a long time still to fish. I will fish till it freezes over and the lures dont get through the ice. Several guys put boats in yr round into the Merrimack River at the Bow NH power plant around here. I am sure you have guys in your area who fish year round if there is open water

It had been closed due to flooding from TS Irene. You or your buddy should contact the Army Corps or Engineers office at the dam to find out more info. Phone number is 746-3601 I called this morning , left a message . They called me back Should be open and he gave me some info . Nice guy fishes there himself . The basics are Stumpfield was designed and made just for things like this storm. Stumpfield floods and houses and roads in the area do not The boat ramp was a bunch of feet under water
  11. Made it to Massabessic this morning with my brother in law, Boated 6 nice bass and lost 2 really nice ones, one to a broken line right at the boat the other spit it out with a huge jump after diving the moment he took my popr. was a good morning also made it to Fidelity pond in Merrimack for 1/2 hour. 1/2 lb bass every cast, nothing bigger nothing smaller. not sure why but every single cast for a 1/2 hour on full size popr both white and black ones wish i could fish wdd but no go this wed
  12. I would try Popr and broken tail jitterbugs after dark. larger ones for a longer cast. Natural looking colors or black
  13. Mu buddy was there last wed and the gate was closed going across the road. any info?
  14. How has the bite been for you guys since the storm? I have been in my regular places, Merrimack river Nashua area, Nashua river behind the mill yard for boat access and Tilton st boat ramp towards Hollis , also Rollins pond , Crooked pond and Turtle pond. The water is high thats for sure. Are their bellies full? I have had no luck since the storm. Just before the storm was fantastic. Especially top water.
  15. Was kind of hoping someone saw something. There were several boats in the water when i left. I did a quick look but saw no damage to any ones truck or trailer. I figure someone backed into it with a large trailer with the boat still on it. The bright orange color , all the reflectors , and the 4 foot bright orange guide arms sticking straight up can apparently still be missed.
  16. I have been trying to get to Canobie all season (Just have not been able to find the extra time to travel from Nashua )and trying to get into Cobbetts legally all season. Bad timing right now. I have to be back in Nashua most mornings Mon - Sat by 9 and going away this weekend with the wife for Anniversary fun !!! I could go this Sat early to 5:30-6 am Cobbetts but need to work by 9:30 here in Nashua. After that would be able to do Fri 16th or Sat 17th Where is the boat ramp for Canobie? to put my little jon boat and trailer in?
  17. I now know that it was a possible record. Would have been pretty cool to have that, but at the same time i would have had to keep it and not release her back into the water. I believe in catch and release. Maybe the next person wont, or maybe i will catch her again and change my view as there are a lot of black crappie to be caught. And it would definitely taste good on the grill. Water level was low when i caught her. Should be good now with all the wet weather we have had since then. There are 2 good sized holes in the ramp , 1 in the water and one closer to the road.

  19. Pretty simple. Talk with her and try to work it out. communication is the key. get her feelings combine them with yours and figure it out. its forever a give and take , but you both need to be happy I like this idea too. , comminication!!!!! I have a wife and a 2 1/2 year old son also and understand your paradigm. So when I fish I usually hire a babysitter to watch the kid to give the wife free time too. Also, so do nice dinners the night before or the night after a fishing trip. Lastly and most importantly is to tell her in advance so as not to catch her by surprise. and this too... Sounds like both of you could benefit from some marriage counseling and maybe a cooking class communication !!!!
  20. can you give me some basic directions to the launch at canobie for either my canoe w/ trolling mtr and / or my trailer (when i get another one) with the 12 ft jon boat and small gas motor.
